Title: What PC Engine game has an interesting energy bar
Post by: _Paul on 02/12/2011, 11:24 AM
Don't want to say why I'm asking yet, but can anybody think of one? Horizontal if possible -> [][][][][][][]|||||||||||

Also, not one that is split up i.e. 3 hearts or suchlike.

I've always liked the charge bar in Aero Blasters. Not really an energy bar, and not much of a charge bar either lol.

But something about it, I always dig when it starts flashing and BOOM! goes everybody!

I've found a few now. Cross Wiber seems the best so far for my purpose.

I know it ain't the prettiest, but: VEIGUES. I always liked how the "greater than" symbols (arrows) embed into each other... much more fun than static "boxes".

Cotton has a nice and tidy little bar, though it's for experience instead of energy.

That's why I like the little paw prints in Camp California - why use plain ol' hearts like everyone else?

The most interesting energy bar for me has to be Deep Blue - there isn't any ! The fish's eye color the only thing that gives you a clue about his health. The rest of the game is, oh well, we all know what the rest of the game is... or isn't... ;)
