For me it is the intro of Star Parodier. It's one of the very few intros ever which brings some tears in my eyes, even watching it today. And this platform wide. So good it is :D

Which is/are your most heart-touching PCE/TG16 intro(s)?
Ys Book I & II, of course, and the body parts flying through space in Final Zone II.
Ninja Spirit (https://www.pcengine-fx.com/reviews/duomazov/2009/02/ninja-spirit.html), of course.

I liked the parodius one, but I didn't quite understand it.
Not specifically an intro, but the bit at the end of Ys II where Feena is talking to Adol.
Not exactly heart touching but the musical sequence in Dungeon Explorer starting at the title screen, then going to the scene where our warriors are looking at the land from a hill top, and finally to the character selection at the bar always warms my belly. The music is just awesome in DE. Proof is in the fact that I have zero nostalgia established with that game.
Opening of Ys IV more than anything. Affects me just as much everytime I watch it.
Ys IV opening is seconded, and the second intro for Dungeon Explorer II with Fedes killing the king, and his minions killing the innocents etc etc. Great stuff.... er I mean Sad stuff....
I haven't seen an intro that makes me sad, per-se. As far as emotionally stirring me up, though, it's maybe Spriggan Mark 2. The music begging for a Rocky-style training montage or something. You could definitely start your workout to it, that's for sure.
I touch myself to the intro on Insanity
o wait wrong thread...
Ys. Def ys
Both acts of Nexzr's intro.

Me too.
I love Fray's opening. It makes me go =3. I feel sorry for her when she faceplants.
I like the intro to Nexzr... maybe its just because I like the game so much, but seems like a pretty slick intro :D
I dont know the Japanese, but I suspect it translates something like....
"You killed my overambitious idiot hawt girlfriend! I kill you!"

Battleship Rant Approaching*
I hate Phades. I saw an ad for DE2 with a picture of him and thought it looked awesome. Then I bought the game. That smarmy, over-acted, affected SOB can suck my left one. "I bring GREEE-TINGS from emperor NA-TAS" blah, blah, blah. He almost ruined the game for me. Heck, besides the nice full-screen artwork, the whole intro sucks . Try rounding up four friends and then see if anyone is still awake after the this:

TIME TO PLAY!

Agreed; that unskippable, long-winded metrosexual sucks when you're trying to get to the action. When I tried playing it with my nephews a couple times they asked if they could just play the huey instead, and I had a hell of a time convincing them that it was worth the wait. :|
LOVE DEII! HATE Phades! What VestCunt and NecroPhile said sums up my opinion on the girl, er, guy.
Ask me back when I was 14 and I would've answered Ys IV before you could even finish the question. :)

When I have friends over (really, I DO have friends!) I skip the old CD games entirely and just go for the Turbochips, N64 carts, or NES Four-Score games. Hearing the Gauntlet 2 voice declare that "Red Wizard shot the food!" provides more instant gratification to a bunch of bored 20-to-30 somethings than a first generation CD game can ever muster.

Toilet Kids, hands down.
