Forgive me but, I'm not quite understanding this reply.

Hey guys!

I was looking at my Turbo Grafx magazine collection (along with archives.tg-16.com  ...  which is awesome) and would like to "fill in the blanks" or replace a few.  If you know where I can get these, please let me know.  Thanks!!

Turbo Play: Brochure 1989 and Brochure 1992  (these were listed, never saw them before)
Duo World:  Issue #2 and #3
Turbo Force:  Issue #1 and #2

They also have Turbo Edge Newsletter listed (3 issues).  Never saw those before either.  Ha ha.  But, would love them.
They don't need to be mint.

Give me a shout.  Thanks!
Chris Bucci

PS:  Would be willing to trade but I don't have much extra.  Paperwork-wise, I have an extra copy of Turbo Play "final" issue (cover a tad loose).  Super Star Soldier Manual.  Turbo Zone direct ads.   Thanks!

I know this is an old post but, thought I'd just update it.  Thanks!!  :)

Yeah, that's the problem.  That constant "replay" to keep starting over.  Ha ha.

Thanks 8Bit!

Thank you guys.  I try.
We're almost 1/2 way done with the series.  Whew.  :)

Thanks guys.  I appreciate it.  Funny....I still have the broken SSS game.  I should auction it and call it "spida1a's nightmare!"   :)
#107
Yes, thanks to Mathius....we had an ending!!  :)

It is funny because...the way the video originally ended...I took the chip out, stopped the end review credits, and destroyed the broken chip.  Almost AVGN-ish.  Just despondent and upset (which I truly was).  I had HAD it.

Halfway into editing, I picked up the new copy of SSS for FUN and beat the game some random day (recording all of stage 8 in anticipation).  So excited, I re-wrote the ending and decided to do a slight "homage" to King of Kong since it ended almost the same, near the end of editing it was defeated and changed the outcome.  Ha ha.

Thanks guys!  As always,
Chris

I just listened to the "teaser" (which is...the first ten minutes of the show).  It is funny...we talk a bunch about TurboGrafx in it as well as pinball and other stuff.  Yet in the teaser...this is NONE of that.  Ha ha.   :)
#109
Hey TRON...it was fun...I was on "Skype" talking to another PodCast guy about doing his show.  And literally Johnny said, "HEY...you around...we need a guest."  I said, "Um...."   Next thing I'm connected and BAM we're starting to talk....lol!
#110
Very true SMF and thanks for updating TRON.    Thanks for the support as always!  :)

Ha ha.  Thanks guys, I was just messin' around with ya' Mathius!  If I cared what other people thought...Keith Courage would have gotten a nostalgically wonderful 5 stars...     :)
#113
...haha, thanks allyourblood.   Mathius was starting to hurt my feelings.   lol  ;)

Wow, thanks for keeping this thread going guys.  You're awesome and I'm glad you enjoy the series.  :)
#116
Ha ha.  Well....thanks guys.  I cringed at the thought of showing it (obviously I edited down my  host segments a bit....hence the "flip" transition I obviously didn't have back-then).  But, I'm glad you enjoyed it.  I did a Super Mario World tape like this once and a few others.....mostly for fun.  I always liked creating stuff....artistic ADD.  Ha ha.  :)
#117
Ha ha.  Well.....if I can make a "wife" happy....I guess I better consider it rag-time4.   Perhaps look for it this weekend.

Although, I wouldn't mind appealing to some "single" girls once in a while.  :)
#118
Thanks guys...I REALLY appreciate it.

Well, I have to be honest, the stuff I did back then was pretty bad.  So, I don't think I can stomach providing it.  Ha ha.  :)
#119
Hey.....I don't know what ya'll are talking about....  :)
#120
Thanks guys....I appreciate it!!!

Cotton surprised me because it was TICKING ME OFF big time.  But, I kept going back to it over and over and over and over.  I usually don't fall for the "beat things a second time to get the game's credits" bull.  The problem was....I couldn't stop!  So, I raised it a half star and I'm glad I was able to share my defeating of the second pass on default with you guys (will NEVER happen again, ha ha).

:)
#121
Sure did Mathius my good man!  :) :)
#122
Bump, bumpity, bump bump bump.........  ;)
#123
Yeah, I'm well aware it's a long-shot.  But.....might as well put it there along with the other want list.

And, I would do the same if I needed to... :)
#124
Was able to get Super Star Soldier....thanks Mathius!

So, that's two off the list.  :)

Bump Bumpidy Bump Bump Bump!

Persistence?  Is that Latin for......flea market?   ;)
#127
I hear ya'.  At one time I could say "I completed the collection in 2003."  But.........now.......

One was stolen in transit to move here, one was damaged (Cotton) and well.....the rest is too sad.  lol.  :)
#128
It went for $569.09.

Yeah, I know about the Japanese version.  But, the collector-in-me just won't have it any other way I guess.  Ha ha.   Hopefully someone will just have the Disc randomly sitting around for NO reason one day..... :)
#129
Got the M and M III.  Thanks!!!

Was going to bid on a Cotton on Ebay but.......wow........um, I guess I'll be NOT having that one again for the $550 or something it just went for.  Damn!  It is a shame that mine cracked somehow and I don't know why.  Why couldn't it have been Buster Bros. or something cheaper.  Sigh!!

Hi gang!

I am still looking for a Super Star Soldier (chip only) U.S. replacement.  The deal I had going apparently fell through.  Does anyone else have an extra copy?
Thanks very much!
Chris Bucci
#134
Hi gang!

Can you point me in the direction (or have a source for) a Duo Tap and a Duo Pad (or multiple, but one at least).  Used / working is just fine.
Thanks a lot!

I saw this post recently when I was looking up "Cotton" information (for an upcoming review).

It got me super motivated!  Took a LONG time....but....I finally beat the second pass myself and saw those darn credits (on default settings).  Whew!  I feel great.

That whole "nobody cares but you, why don't you just give up" thing was hitting me.  But, I figured if I could share it here on the forum...that might make it more special.  Ha ha.
Thanks gang!

I know!  Ha ha.  I have NEVER had a "chip" that didn't work.  I mean....I've had a game or two "freeze" but....it always worked after restarting.  You know?

This one literally just comes up with a white screen. Ugh!
#137
Froze on the last boss.  Then refused to work.
#138
Why did my Super Star Soldier have to break and not this hulking pile of fish dung?
#139
Hey, thanks a lot.  I ended up buying one from someone else on the forum!  So.....it's all good!   :)
Thanks!!
#140
Hey guys!

I was able to get one so....thanks for the quick and awesome responses.

I think the game was mad because I got THIS close to defeating it (especially since I have been trying to since I was a kid).  Oh....OH....it's not beating me that easily!!!!!!!  Muhahahahahah!!!!!!
:)
Thanks again!

#141
Hi guys.  Just to clarify, I am looking for the U.S. version.  Thanks!  :)
#142
Hey gang!

I am looking for a Super Star Soldier, chip only (working). Ha ha.

Anybody have an extra? If so, let me know how much.  Thanks a lot!

Hey Mason!  Awesome my friend.....send me a link!

TurboStar....sure, you can order whenever you like.  I will make sure to save you one.  :)
#144
Ha ha!  I'm glad you like the simple Easter Eggs.  Ha ha.  :)
#146
Awesome guys.  Let me know what you think!   8)
#147
Thanks guys.  I hope you enjoy it........I really try to make them a TurboGrafx collectible!  :)
#148
And...........ALL sent!  The response was overwhelming.  Thanks guys.  You're all the best.  Happy TurboGrafx-ing!    :)
#149
I am actually a "day" behind (due to the holidays kicking my a(#, ha ha!).  So.......no, it's not too late.  I will probably end the pre-order tomorrow about lunch time right as I'm sealing up this phase of the project.   :)
#150
Wow guys...honestly, I am overwhelmed by the wonderful support I have received about this "pre-order."   There is still a little time (will probably end it mid-afternoon Monday) but I was able to secure enough to cover the costs for initial materials.  This helped immensely due to the overwhelming totals of the ole' hospital bills, ha ha.  Thanks so much!

I am hopefully going to have them pressed and out the door by Tuesday or Wednesday.  Here is a rough-cut of the finished cover art.
Thanks again guys.  You're the best.

Happy TurboGrafx-ing!
