@GTV reviews the Cosmic Fantasy 1-2 Switch collection by Edia, provides examples of the poor English editing/localization work. It's much worse for CF1. Rated "D" for disappointment, finding that TurboGrafx CF2 is better & while CF1's the real draw, Edia screwed it up...

Afaik they are working on a new FW to resolve the audio issue and probably some other.

I bought one beginning of the month, 2 weeks later I hooked it up to my white (more yellow) PC Engine, audio routed through my Amp, video to the PVM.
I have to say, it looks quite good - I don't see really a difference with my modded IFU output.

As regards of the audio 'hiss', to be honest, I haven't heard it with any of the CD-based games I tried; even turned up the volume.

So, I can say I am quite happy

TD is committed to resolve the issue. I will most definitely buy one when resolved.

It seems the first units are being shipped.

Nope, is an elaborate reprint.

If the Arcade Duo only contains more memory and no rom, than there is nothing to execute.
Understood, thank you!

PS: Anybody interested in an Arcade Duo (incl. Jewel + card)

In my enthusiastic mood I purchased GINGA FUKEI DENSETSU SAPPHIRE, only to notice, once it arrived, it is an ArcadeCD, while only having a System HuCard v3

Brilliant guy I am, I quickly go in search of an Arcade Duo card, which I found and it arrived safely  [-o<
..only to find out my IFU/CDROM2 setup requires a Arcade PRO  #-o

My question is; what should I see when I insert the Arcade Duo in my white PCE?
Currently I see a completely white screen; which I find odd, should it not show at least something?

Trying to determine whether it is a non functioning HuCard I received.
Does anybody know what should show up inserting an Arcade Duo into a non-Duo PCE?

Well done! I am still working on it :)

Quote from: guest on 01/03/2018, 10:03 AMCost.  HDMI is fairly cheap to add compared to the cost of a good (reliable and low latency) stand alone upscaler.
Problem is that the quality than depends on the implementation of the used upscale HW/SW. While the generic upscaler is dedicated to that purpose.

Though not sure why you would play it on HDMI in the first place.

Quote from: esteban on 01/03/2018, 10:38 AMI am totally biased (towards shootemups) and I have been really pleased with most of the Red Book soundtracks...I don't think you'll find one that disappoints.

So, instead, I think there are some neat comparisons to make:
...
BOTTOM LINE: Having listener to the "standard" versions of these songs for years, I was happy to hear something different.
Glad to hear the RedBooks don't disappoint  :D

Quote from: Nexus7 on 12/31/2017, 12:25 PMI know it would have been a lot more work, but they should have just gone for a 100% replication of the PCE/PC-CD system via FPGA.  This device is still cool, but I'm waiting for someone to make a proper FPGA clone with 1080p out via HDMI.
Why not use an upscaler? There are very good ones these days. Usable for all your older consoles.

Hello

Been a long time TurboGrafx-16 owner, playing mostly shumps on a Sony PVM-2024QM.
Recently received my IFU/cdrom2/pce combo with Super Parodier and I have to say I am sooo pleased with the audio!

I would welcome shmup CD recommendations with good audio.
