Hi there,

You looking for covers that are large enough to print or covers like on the Turbo Station 16 site?

The board is still new since it was changed over from just being a pcengine-fx.com-only board.  Give it some time.  In the mean-time, everyone's help at spreading the word is helpful, and I'm continuing to get the site listed at more and more places (which will help).
#1703
Well, I can't list what I have for HuCards at the moment, but I have every Turbo-CD game (CD-ROM2 & SuperCD) except 2 titles left to get.

TG-CD units are pretty hard to find these days...at least compared to TG/TE/DUO units.  The most logical reasons for this is:

1.  NEC didn't sell that many TG-CD units to begin with because of a very high retail price and the CD games were so-so (but got a lot better later on with high-rated games such as Ys)

2.  Just when the TG-CD started to catch on with TG-16 owners, the DUO was announced and some TG-16 owners waited for that, thus hindering more TG-CD sales.

So by going with the reasons above, one can see why there aren't as many TG-CDs in circulation.

Same goes with the Super System Card...it was mail-order only so that's why you don't see any extras around that often.

Hi Hellfighter66,

To answer your questions...

Topic 1:  You have an ftp or ICQ?  If so LMK.  I may be able to help you out in this area.

Topic 2: What games exactly did you try on HuGo?  I can try to reproduce those problems on my end.

Topic 3: WOW.... thanks for letting me know about Pcenginefx Radio!  I didn't know it was so popular http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/smile.gif ALT=":)">

Looks just like it?  Well, that wasn't my intention (I just liked the colors) but Nuon-Dome uses the "ultimate" bbs system where I am using the "ezboard" system.  Both are great forum engines.

Welcome to this forum.  Feel free to talk about USA/EURO NEC TG-16/TurboExpress/TurboDuo systems and games, however you MUST follow these rules:

Expected Behavior
The Pcenginefx NEC Console Community Forums is a place to hold civil discussions about the NEC line of video game consoles. Heated debates on the forums are welcome, as long as they abide by the established guidelines (listed below). If an administrator or moderator sees that a thread or poster violates these guidelines, the thread may be closed or deleted, and posters may be permanently or temporarily banned from the forum no matter how long they may have been a member.

> Example violations (including, but not limited to): Replying with an image; replying with the words "me too!" or similar; derailing the thread to a topic not related to the original post.

No warez/ISO/ROM/P2P links
Posting or asking for warez/ISOs/ROMs & P2P links is prohibited on the forums and is grounds for a permanent ban.

Nirgends was indeed the first FX game in a regular jewel case (released on 6.28.96.)  The last game to be released in the oversized case was Tenchi Muyo FX, released on 7.12.96.

If you have the PC-FXGA DOS/V version of the card, there probably still is demand for it.  I'd not expect to get over $150 bucks for it however.

If you have the PC-FXGA PC-9800 version, you'd be lucky if you could give it away, as there is practically no demand for it.

Hi Nutribrain,

I can't answer your 2nd question, but as for the first one, that is quite a weird problem.  Since that is an original game, you should have no problem playing it back on your FX.  But let me ask you a few questions to give me a better picture of your problem:

1. How long have you had your FX?  Did you get it used or new?

2. Did you get Zeroigar new?

3. Do other FX games hang?

4. Have you tried to lay your PC-FX sideways and playing the game?

Hi Kaosu,

Sorry for the late reply.  As for the PC-FX, you pretty much hit it on the ball - to really enjoy what the PC-FX has to offer you really should know how to understand Japanese as a LOT of the games require it (and there are only a handful of really good action/shooter/fighting games on the system).

As for prices, units can go from $80 to $200 depending, and games can range from $15 to $300+....usually the games you would want to get that require little or no Japanese are over $100 on the used market (however there are exceptions.)

Hope that answered your questions.

Hi SpaceCobra,

If I remember right, to block you have to keep watch at the two light bars (on top and bottom of the screen).  Those light bars tell you what kind of attack is being used by you and the other person.  If the top bar flashes, then it is a high attack and (I think) you press and hold UP to block the attack.  Same goes for the bottom bar.  There are special attacks which you might need to press a different direction for but it has been so long since I've played it.

Thanks for letting us know about the FTP.  I will look into it.  It is run by a 3rd party so when it goes down for any reason we usually won't know about it until somebody tells us.

As for a private hub, that would be the best thing to do (I agree).  However the most difficult hurdle in making something like this is first getting enough people to volunteer their time and bandwidth to the cause, moderating everything, and communication.

Hi Retekin,

Other than the announcement that a port might be made, that was it. (at least externally)  After NEC made the point that games such as "Bomberman" wouldn't be released for the system, that shot down any hopes that Ys V, Super Star Soldier and any other fun action game would come over to the FX.  A shame.... <p>Aaron Nanto

Hi Jen,

Contrats on your PC-FX purchase!  The Anime Freak titles are a collection of lots of goodies - each one usually has FX game previews (in video form), interviews with voice actors/actresses, playable FX game demos, FX/PCE game database info, a playable (simple) FMV type game made just for the Anime Freak series, karaoke songs from Anime/games, and a episode of an anime series (the ones that come on the CD are Private Idol I think)

As for the TM stuff on AF3, all it is, is a LOT of video from the series...nothing really from the game if I remember right.

...and the PC-FX emu is still slow going...we probably won't see our alpha emu until next year :(

I agree with RURUiNa on this one.  You will get more enjoyment out of a TurboDuo...plus owning a Turbo will cost you less money than owning a PC-FX.  FX games are almost always more expensive (and a LOT harder to find) than Turbo games, plus you got a good library of US titles to choose from before you even get into the hundreds of great Japanese titles.

RURUiNa: Thanks for helping out in the PC-FX ISO area.  The reason that we haven't had a lot of releases for the RIGG servers is because the emu isn't even in beta stages, so nobody would be able to play the game unless they had an FX system (plus, it has been slow going anyway), but thanks for helping people out on your end.

None of the PC-FXGA discs work in a regular PC-FX, so unless you had a working PC-FXGA in your machine and could burn the FXGA CDs correctly, it wouldn't work.

...in addition, the games/demos could be compiled to play in a PC-FX, however this probably won't even begin to happen until the FXer is completed as we are still discovering how the FX works.

Lastly, I believe you are right about the tech school.  There is a Japanese site that I've seen that has FXGA demos and projects, but I don't have the link at the moment...you might want to search google for "PC-FXGA" (make sure you choose Japanese as the language).
