Please bear w/ me - I'm currently one handed and on a lot of pain meds coming out of shoulder surgery...
Last week I decided to build a s-video/composite circuit out of a CXA1645 like I've done at least a dozen times before, only this time I planned on sticking it into a TG-16. I built the circuit, attached the RGB IN locations on the chip to the RGB OUT locations on the TG-16 EXT connector (23A, 23B, and 23C), along with the SYNC IN on the chip to the SYNC OUT on C22. everything is properly attached to their respective components and grounded. In addition, I tapped the Audio from 1A and 1C, and grounded them to the board, as well. There's also a reset button and region chip installed, as well. I powered the console on in s-video and I get audio just fine but no sync on s-video. I try it with composite, same thing. I test it with my turbo booster and I get good video and audio. So, I figure my problem is with the sync pin. After some researching I find that it's actually labeled composite sync, but that shouldn't make a difference, right? Sync should be sync, as far as I understand it. I'm hesitant to take the system apart again, now that everything is soldered and screwed into place, so is there anywhere on the bottom surface of the board that I can tap into?

So, I'm heading in for shoulder surgery at the beginning of the year, and I'll need to put up a decent co-pay before I arrive. I'm looking to sell a couple of items, which I'll be putting up over the next few days. First up is my Atari Jaguar, boxed and complete. The unit comes with an AC adapter, controller, Cybermorph (w/ overlay), RF switch (if you ever need it), and a custom s-video/composite/audio cable.

@ Dynamite - Amperage just needs to be rated at or higher than what the system draws, preferably higher. The fact that the stock AC is taking 10.5v and uses a voltage regulator to keep things ~ 5v across the board should mean that I can get by with a 9v adapter without worrying about undervolting it. I just like to have OEM equipment, for a variety of reasons.
@ Keith - Damnit, I totally missed your post and PM! I spent most of my spare cash this paycheck, and TBH, I'm trying to sell the system shortly (one of those reasons I alluded to above). If you still have one after the holidays, I'll nab it from you.

Hm. I have a Genesis adapter in it right now, which seems to work fine, but I don't know if the lower voltage would have any effect on things like flash carts and the like. I'm thinking not, since it steps the 9v down to 5v anyway, but still... I'll take a look. Thanks.

as to the uf it depends on how much damping you want.
where to hook it..........thats the big question.
the cap or caps should go where the problem noise is (id start with the 5V line)
CE is another, and would need to be a much smaller cap
i suspect a pull-up resistor array on the data lines may solve it good

If the PSU is generating ~750 mA, the power shouldn't be a problem. The Genesis can run off of ~350-500 mA without a problem, I refuse to believe that a PCE needs the majority of the 750mA to run the system without having enough to send a 5v signal to the card reader. Again, I'm somewhat new to the PCE technology - How much amperage is supplied by the cart slot?

So, I know I'm new here, but I've been an active member over at Sega-16 for a while now, and I would like to weigh in:
As an owner of an original Sega Everdrive, Super Everdrive, Master Everdrive and Everdrive 64, I can say with absolute certainty that Krikzz's products not only offer the most bang for the buck, but are made of high quality components, as well. Not a single drive has shown an error in the roughly year or so time span that I've owned the various devices. Like many, I have been waiting for a TG-16/PCE solution that was flash cart based to arrive, and it's nice to know that Krikzz has decided to work on one for us. Like Joe has said, however, he is a Sega man at heart and has opted to deliver an upgraded version of his original Everdrive (which sounds awesome by reading the specs) before he tackles any more projects. That said, I'm confident that he will deliver on all fronts by the time frame he's promised, based on his previous track record. To top it off, he's also gone on record saying the Everdrive-16, or whatever he decides to call it will land somewhere in the 70-80 USD range, which falls in line with his other products. I've looked at the Neoflash cart and it just doesn't compare. I'd gladly wait a few more months and play with the few Hu-Cards that I can, while I wait for this delicious piece of hardware to become available.
To me, it's a no-brainer.

I'm looking to get the actual AC adapter, in part because I like having the original components to a system, and also because I know it'll be the proper voltage and amperage as opposed to a 3rd party product. I've been using a Genesis AC adapter for a while now without issue (it's a 9v supply vs a 10.5v supply, but it works all the same), but should I ever decide to sell it, I'll have the official AC adapter to go along with it.
So I'm guessing that, while probably on the high side, the prices I've seen on eBay aren't too far from the truth in cost, are they?
