The one I've been waiting for a long time has finally arrived. It's a little tattered on the top cover, but oh well. Everything else is in good condition plus I didn't break the bank on this. I almost feel a tiny bit sad for the seller that he sold it to me at low price.

No one bothered to mention Nexzr...come on, it's only one of the best vertical shooters for SCD. Overall it's a well made shmup, not too difficult and loads of fun. Once you beat it you'll keep coming back to play it over and over again.

I love bullet-hell shooters btw. For those who dislike it, you just need practice and a steady hand.

Got these off ebay, MV-1C and Metal Slug X. I got the board for about $60 and the Metal Slug X for $22...I think those are good prices. I'm surprised how compact the MV-1C is I really thought this would be bigger. This actually a first for me, I've never owned anything Neo Geo except their joysticks. Very exciting to have something new to play with. The only downside is I can't play it, I'm still waiting for my supergun to arrive.

I don't think my skills are good enough to consolize this. I can solder and easily do the internal wiring, but building a nice case would be problem since I don't have the tools. Don't got a jamma cab either, really takes up to much space which I can't spare, I'm in a 10x12 sq ft bedroom. Nope, I gonna hook it up to a supergun which should be coming in the mail soon. (I'm crossing my fingers that it'll arrive tomorrow...I hope.) I paid $36 for the supergun I know that's a great deal. The cost is so low because it has no video encoder, just RGB through scart connector and I have a XRGB-2 that will be perfect for it.

I can't keep up with all of ebay's crap changes, how does this 5 star thing work in terms of search results?

As everyone knows, eBay's feedback system changed earlier this year to add DSRs - basically they are 5 star ratings that a buyer can rate a seller on in regards to 4 different aspects, as well as leaving normal negative, positive or neutral feedback:
Item as Described, Communication, Shipping time, and Shipping and handling charges.

That's all fine and dandy, but here is the problem with that: in addition to all of this, and their new changes, they instituted a new search method aside from all the normal ones like items ending soon and lowest price with shipping cost called 'Best Match'. The problem with 'Best Match' is that it's intentions might be good and well, but people as a whole are genuinely stupid, lazy and/or ignorant to know that searches automatically default to this or to change it. As such, if you don't change it, first appearances may show that you have a hodge podge of a search of items that show no order in their ending date, price or shipping costs.

All that aside, this 'Best Match' is based on a members DSR ratings as to where they appear in this, so basically it is a perk for good sellers that keep in good standing to show up at top of lists, and saved email searches that eBay sends out. It is basically easy prey for possible resellers or a person that doesn't like someone to knock them out of that ranking by leaving them 4's or lower, unfairly.

eBay added in a kickback system where certain buyers were leaving positive feedback, but leaving all 1's for sellers, which is considered abuse of the DSR system to purposely sabotage certain sellers. Now, they are being sneaky and leaving 3's or 4's as a result.

Geez this a really screwy system ebay is pulling here. I did notice the searches were being inconsistent, but I never would have guessed it was because of the DSR. I like organizing my searches with "newly listed" at the top, and always the new items with the yellow stars pop up first. Now when I want to see the latest auctions they're all mixed up with the older auctions...wtf.

Why do Europeans always charge so damn much for Japanese games?

I have no idea why the prices are usually higher than the average. My biggest gripe though is shipping costs are sometimes too high for very light items, and I don't like the way their couriers do tracking on packages. I prefer to deal with Japan because EMS is easier to track and always cheaper & faster than the express service from europe.

I've had my fair share dealing with bad ebay seller but yours takes the cake. The spam he leaves on your answering machine is hilarious lol...ah rednecks. Just keep up what you're doing, recording voice messages and backup the emails. All that evidence is stacked against that guy and keeps making worse for himself, so your in the clear. Don't lose sleep over this nonsense.

Yeah I've been checking out the Critics's works and some of them are funny. His video of him trying to decipher the hidden message of AVGN that was hilarious and so was his review of Bebe's Kids. I saw his Wizard review and first half started slow and it wasn't all that funny, but the last half was and I laughed hard. The way ended that review was good too.

I bought a backup PC Engine (just in case anything happened to my Core Grafx II).
It was a white one with an AV mod. I say "was" because it had gone beyond yellow and into the realms of brown.
Quite frankly it was a real shocker to look at.

I figured a bit Plasticoat Enamel paint was in order and this is what I came up with.

Wow, I'm so jealous. I never wore anything that cool during Halloween. Probably the coolest costume I made was a simple robot suit when I was in the 1st grade. I cutout and taped together brown paper bags to create the suit and colored it in with crayons.

I thought so too, but low density floppies (360k and 720k disks) have risen in value since local stores don't sell them. There some sellers that will charge $1 per 720k disk, absolutely retarded.

I bought CD-Rs the other day and was pissed how the DVD-Rs next to it were practically the same price.

Isn't that a good thing? DVD-Rs used to be too expensive now they're as cheap as CD-Rs, you can get 50pks for ~$20. I bought a 100pk for $25 a month a ago, great deal.

I've never watched Votoms before but I see the resemblance. Votoms was out in 1983-84 and Outroyd in 1985, the artist must of been watching Votoms when he was asked to make a cover.

Hehe. That's Outroyd, it's a RPG sort like the original Hydlide. From what I played you roam around taking over enemy bases for booty and powerups. You find new parts to upgrade your robot body and supposedly they're parts that transforms you into a plane or something like that. I haven't got far in the game. The main theme rocks in classic PSG.

It's the Konami Game Master 2. It does alot of cool stuff with konami games like stage select, extra lives, screen captures, built-in SRAM for games like Metal Gear 2 & Contra, and my favorite - save states to disk.

"I'm BAD!" I love that part in the game. Have you ever tried the MSX port? Depressing yet loads of fun to play. It's like playing a cheap handheld LCD game because of it's B&W graphics, lack of music, and stiff controls. Since this on cassette it take 15 minutes to load

There was a game copier setup available for it long ago. It would only do the early games though.

The copier was called MGD2 (Multi Game Doctor 2) it had all sorts of extensions to play backups on various consoles. It obsolete and useless since every game is pretty much been dumped. You'll find them mainly in hands of collectors.

Here the Neo Geo Interface for the MGD2. Massive cartridge that requires several special sram + dram cards which are unbelievably more expensive than the MGD2 unit.

2 packages came in the mail today.

100watt step down converter - converts 120v to 100v. I have 2 of these now...one dedicated to the XRGB-2 and the second for my Jp Saturn and MSX2+. Even though the japanese consoles can handle 110v, I'm not taking any chances.

Multi Scart box - Met a guy kind enough to sell me one for decent price. Can't find these anywhere in the U.S and some european stores don't wanna shipping internationally.

That's really awesome. The arcades on the Las Vegas strip has only a few classics like Galaga, Joust, and Ms Pac-Man. The Luxor casino, Gameworks, and FAO schwartz are a few that come to mind, but nothing in the same leagues as the arcade you went to. I heard Vegas has some good arcades but they're off the Strip and I haven't bothered search for them. I am looking forward to going to The Las Vegas Pinball museum sometime this month. Finished Sonic Wings Special in 30 minutes with 2 credits. Overall the gameplay is...meh.  Actually made me a little sleepy, forced myself to finish it even I was sloppy. I poped in Dynamite Deka afterwards and felt alive again. The Saturn connected to VGA and XRGB-2 w/ scart cable = picture perfect. Dynamite Deka never looks so sharp and bright, better quality than s-video on a TV.

Nice gets rolins. I killed Sky Shark bitd. Such a fun game. Music is great too.

Sky Shark is classic Toaplan shooting and it's fun fun fun. The controls are perfect even better with a joystick and I really dig the music. It's strange though, bits of the music sounds like something off a C64 especially in the 1st stage song.
