Same here. I thought the original on the pce was alot fun but I just don't get excited over remakes. They don't always turn out so good.

Picked these up for $2.99 a piece, even came with dust sleeve and manuals. Bought them at place called Play N' Trade video games that just opened recently here in Las Vegas. First time I've heard of these guys but appear to be helluva alot better than gamestop. They carry a small load of retro game although nothing spectacular, not even TG16 games. I did see a stack of Atari 2600 games and very tempting Intellivision console for $39.99! It's in great condition too.

edit: wait not a colecovision. A Intellivision I got them mixed.

Here's a photo of Hudson Soft's Joycard Sansui SSS with headphone jack that I would like to get hacked for the Duo.

I remember using one these at my cousin's house many years ago. They're great gamepad about the same as the Nes controller, except slightly looser. Here's photo of the japanese box.

peritel  = scart?

Composite video is standard on the pc-engine. If you want scart you'll need to modify your console. Might be worth it though, the picture quality is sharp in RGB.

Welcome to club! If you have to deal with fishy people, always pay with a credit card (mastercard, visa, etc). Credit card companies side with the card user, so you'll most likely get a refund if you get screwed.

The paypal refund they sent you...is it in your paypal account now? You could always withdraw the money to your bank account if you have that linked.

Dude you have the PS1 Zanac X Zanac? Now that one is rare.

Nope. I'd buy it for $90 a fair price I think but most sellers want $120+. I'm not that crazy to spend so much for a decent (not awesome) shmup.

Zanac and Zanac EX were also release on the Zemmix which are extremely hard to find. Those I'll hand over my soul to have them.

ZANAC. Definitely the fav in my entire collection. In case your wondering, the white box is from europe and the game was released on cassette tape. Plays the same as the japanese cartridge but takes 5 minutes to load.

I also have a vintage issue of MSX-FAN from Oct-Nov 1993 that has strategy guide of the original Zanac. Even includes a retro release of the game on floppy disk.

Damn, I really need to get me a 360. I seriously I had no idea there was a BC remake available, and I'm huge fan of the original. I checked out a trailer on youtube looks great, I especially like the idea of grappling objects and your enemies. The 2p action is a plus, already feels like a Contra game.

I can't believe I totally forgot about these, the Capsule Shooting Watch by Yujin. I got these several months ago on ebay, iirc just under $5 each. They're inspired by the original Hudson shooting watch made famous by Takahashi Meijin. It can tells time and measures how fast you can press a button in 10 seconds. My record is 115 in 10 seconds with a single button, no where close to Takahashi. There's 5 watches in all with designs from Adventure Island, Bomberman, and famicom. I have the other two, the original Hudson design and Star Soldier. Now if I can just find the bomberman I'll be satisfied.

I bought a XRGB2 for about $250 but I used a ebay 10% coupon, so only $225. I guess that's good deal. With it I'm going to consolidate all my gaming to a single monitor, my 19" LCD Samsung SyncMaster 953BW. The best part about this XRGB2 is that the seller modified it to accept euro-scart which are easier & cheaper to find than the japanese counterpart. My Sony MSX2+, Saturn, and PS2 are played through scart cables, except for my Nes its using composite video (of course). The MSX, Saturn, and Nes games look great especially with the fake scanlines. The only problem I had was with a couple PS2 games like Mushihimesama and FFXII. I tend to get alot of green/grey lines which was very irritating, but I managed to fix most of it by tinkering with setting on my monitor & XRGB2. PS2 doesn't look as good looking on a CRT but the picture quality is fair enough.

No they are not detachable, it has red yellow and white RCA input in the back plus the RF, what is also cool about it is that even if you lose the remote, all the contrast, brightness and other settings are adjustable by dial.  Its one of the last years these were still Made in Japan, I hope to get some good use out of it.

I was just wondering if those speakers could handle the stress if you were to lay the TV on its side. As in rotate it 90 degrees. If you have no idea where I'm getting at then don't worry about it. It's awesome TV.

A modified Saturn is best ain't it? They cheap and simple mods. I installed a mod chip and region switch on my white console. Now it'll play backups from any region except europe, but I don't care about PAL.

Ebay had some good prices a few years back. I snagged a sealed NAI for $40 from DreamStarsJapan, but at the time he was known by another name. Good times.

The PCE version also has some "adult content" (the cover announces a +18 restriction), but it's rather soft (really, really soft. Shall I say that Kol c.... .. ... ...........?).

The MSX2 is also light on the porn, iirc a sex scene with some tits with no penetration. Very disappointing. I did like the MSX2 version but it only had part 1, and music was sorta inaudible with it's PSG tracks. If it had FM music the experience would've been better.

A couple that I tried were Pinakbet and egg adobo... The ones you're talking about don't sound familiar. I stayed in Tarlac.... so maybe the foods you tried are regionalised. I was told that different regions specialise in different foods... or maybe my family just didn't cook those for me..

The 3 that I mentioned are pretty common all over the PI, your family probably just didn't make it for you. Ask them another time, they're really good.

Quail eggs in pansit I've never tried that but I believe ya when you say it's good. Have you tried other dishes kare-kare, papaitan, or dinuguan (I call it choco-meat ). Those are the good stuff, as long as there is rice I could eat that stuff all day.

Bought 3 gamepads for 25 cents plus $5 shipping. Not a bad deal especially since these are the best game controllers for the PC gameport. The 10 button that looks like a PSX controller has a short in the cable which makes it unreliable, but that's alright. I got two 4 button gamepads in this deal and they're actually better with its smoother d-pad. I do have parallel adapters for my console joysticks but they'e a pain to setup in DOS, but with the Gravis gamepads they're pnp. Finally, I can play Turrican II without using the keyboard.

Everyone loves lumpia, best party food around. The dish that always comes to mind when I think about the PI is champorado. It's basically a hot bowl of sweet rice & milk chocolate. Yummy Ate it for breakfast all the time during my visits.

The GeForce2 Pro is in very good condition, but this model is a few steps down from your Geforce 5200. It's still a solid performer for any PC games prior to 2001.
