Quote from: jordan_hillman on 08/29/2014, 03:40 AMI don't know what you're talking about. . Shrink wrap easily adds another $550 or so in value to any thing. For example, a used VHS copy of Pretty Woman is worth about 50 cents to a dollar. . add some shrink wrap to it, and you've now easily got a treasure worth about $550.50 to $551.00.Oh i see
It's simple science really
Quote from: MrFulci on 08/21/2014, 11:03 PMAlso, Escarioth, I notice it in your Red LED photo, but those cables on the floor, between the recliner and sofa, they're not always out there like that, waiting for people to trip over them, are they?Ah yes, those meddling cords
we moved last year in this new house and the set up i made is rather diferent. so i ended up having those hanging around between 2 couch. Thanks for the info , ill look into this ...it be quite a disaster if my wife fell on the floor with our baby in her hands.
Quote from: MrFulci on 08/21/2014, 08:35 AMEscarioth, what's the table normally used for?It was left here this past chrismas...and since we didnt know what to do with it.. we put it in the basement thinking it be a nice place to hang out for boardgames or drink our souls out.

Quote from: clackattack on 08/20/2014, 05:12 PMI would personally love a scan of Dracula X, dragon slayer maps, Ys III and Valis IIII'll see what i can do

Quote from: vexcollects on 08/19/2014, 12:24 PMThe seller had a change of heart. I now own Beyond Shadowgate! Super nice guy too. It all worked out.And if you ever get tired of it ...
There is a scratch on the disk, but it ripped fine and played fine, so hopefully it doesn't become an issue somewhere in the game.

Quote from: NightWolve on 08/18/2014, 05:54 AMFrom Felghana and on, the Ys III remake, his name has been localized to Galbalan (the cruel marauder from far off lands).Ah, so that's why. I prefer Galbalan over demonicus

Quote from: NightWolve on 08/16/2014, 03:29 AMOh yeah! I've gone back'n'forth on which soundtrack is at the top of the list of the Ys series on this system, and Ys III had the spot for a time. What happens is, you over listen to one soundtrack, get a little sick of it, then listen to the other and then that becomes your favorite of the series, etc. Rinse and repeat. Like right now, Ys IV seems to be a bit enduring to me, but that's maybe because I over listened to the prior ones, etc.Yeah i know what you mean

Quote from: seieienbu on 08/16/2014, 05:56 AMThe US version talks about that blond guy as if he was the guy who killed Demonicus. The Japanese version has a myth about an ancient hero killing an ancient evil and was showing you what happened a long time ago.demonicus...is that the last boss name in the american version..wasnt it Galgalan ?

Quote from: HailingTheThings on 07/16/2014, 11:15 PMJekyll and Hyde selling for more than free is a travesty. lolI wouldnt say any better ;)
Quote from: Miracle_Warrior on 08/15/2014, 08:01 PMWelcomeYeah i notced too. There seems to be a pretty strong contingent of Canadians here. Nice collection you've got there.
i'm not joking..it happened more then once with me just going out
Quote from: Nando on 08/14/2014, 09:03 PMWeird. I lived in Montreal and remember seeing it around quite a bit. This was late 89 mind you. I used to go to the arcade at place alexis nihon. the electronic boutique; or whatever it was called, right next to it used to let one play TG16 games for free.WHen i say quebec, i meant the country not the city

Quote from: guest on 08/13/2014, 06:28 PMAs far as your comments on the Supergrafx, you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. The Supergrafx didn't fail, it was abandoned because the PC Engine was doing fine and holding its own against the Super Famicom. We've discussed this at length over the last ten years. Even if the SGX had been supported, it wouldn't have changed anything because the hardware upgrade was negligible. An extra background layer isn't going to win a console war.aah ?
i guess ill go read some infos about that supergrafx, i saw it a couple of time online but never really got deep into its story Quote from: galam on 08/13/2014, 10:00 AMone thing to say about the game is that its pretty "unforgiving". meaning, there are a zillion ways to die and it will let you progress pretty far even if you miss a critical item along the way. some of the "puzzles" have multiple solutions which keep it fresh too
Quote from: guest on 08/13/2014, 11:30 AMThere are plenty of reasons why the TG16 failed, but get your facts straight and stop regurgitating the "doomed from the start" crap you hear on youtube.I dont agree on that "doomed from the start" too.
Quote from: jordan_hillman on 08/13/2014, 05:21 AMI owned a jaguar and a decent amount of games for it, and let me tell you: the only two games worth owning on that shit box are Alien vs Predator and Tempest 2000. Nothing else is worth a damn. About 9 months or so ago I traded my total Jaguar collection, and a few other things I can't recall, for a copy of Dungeon Explorer 2, Soldier Blade, Neutopia II, and some other kick ass more common TG titles, and I couldn't be more happy.Music to my ears...seriously a friend of mine keep telling me how GREAT a jaguar is...and seriously... every games he keeps making me play...are either ok...or just plainly bad.
Quote from: vexcollects on 08/12/2014, 11:59 PMYep. Radio Shack in Canada. I remember going to Radio Shack when I had my first TG16. I also remember the bin of blow out sale games (in boxes) right before the end.Haha that made me remember something funny
Quote from: FiftyQuid on 08/12/2014, 02:12 PMI left and never went back. My point being, back then Radio Shack had cool and unique items. Now they are just a carbon copy of every other garbage store, at least in Canada.same here... i was going there much more before they called themselves "la source"

Quote from: Arjak on 08/11/2014, 06:16 PMJust don't try to suddenly sell your goodies to us at ridiculous prices. Due to past history, that's a stoning offense in these parts!Nah, don't worry :3 i've kept everything for 10 years now. Sadly fell back into retro gaming just 2-3 years ago. i was told to register here since i love turbografx-16 so much... but i got to tell you ...i found about the Cd part only a few months ago .. i was mindblowed. totaly. I went online to get a Turbo duo R from Doujindance right away....and i ordered the Turbo duo and TG16 bibles from Pix'n love.
