12/23/2024: Localization News - Team Innocent

PC-FX Localization for Team Innocent is released, a pre-Christmas gift!! In a twist, it feels like the NEC PC-FX got more attention in 2024 than any other time I can remember! Caveat: The localizers consider the "v0.9" patch a BETA as it still faces technical hurdles to eventually subtitle the FMV scenes, but they consider it very much playable.

holy nuts!  now this is a ballsy move (and one that i'm quite stoked about - barring they actually make this the first well designed game in the series).

i'm looking to snatch up a copy of kaze kiri that's in great condition.  if you're the human who can fill that gap in my collection, please holler back and i'll gladly trade you some moolah for the game.

i do believe i've finally found a reason to buy a wii.
and, this will get localized.  125% guarantee.

(oh, and if you haven't already heard, production i.g. is handling all of the animated cut scenes.)

shoot, they'd be silly to do so.  i bet this nets them a ton more hits.  bad pub is often the best pub ;)

thanks a ton for the share, and great work.
i'll be printing this out and using it a.s.a.p.

you should holler at D-Lite and see if he's still dealing in jazz like this:

http://www.multimods.com/tgsales.html

a bit back, i purchased this from him:

QuoteRegion-Modded and S-Video-Modded PC Engine Duo-R w/Violet LED:  $310 shipped
A PC Engine Duo-R that has been region modded so you can play both US and Japanese HuCards (and of course CDs and SCDs) without the need for an external adapter.  System outputs beautifully colorful S-Video through my hand-built encoder. Excellent overall cosmetic shape (has been thoroughly cleaned as well).  Controller is fully functional original DuoR controller and is still quite white.  Comes with original AC adapter and new 12' S-Video/stereo cables.
and have been way, way beyond pleased.  now, compare what i got and what i paid to what your buddy's deal ;)
#57
ah, sorry i didn't post feeders sooner (aka before you printed).
if you ever plan on doing another print run, then perhaps this suggestion may be something you might consider addressing - the font you chose for the synopsis doesn't quite fit with the rest of the package design, and even more so the "spirit" and context of the game itself.  i'd suggest you use something less calligraphy-like.  the font probably shouldn't be serifed, either.

other than that...

holy snit!  this is one rad insert you've busted out!
i'll definitely be printing myself one whenever you cats make it available for the world to pilfer (even if you don't change the font - however, that would be icing).

(btw, very slick with the bman code toward the bottom :D )

you plan on doing all of your sales via this shoutbox auction format?  a bit tough (aka impossible) for me to sync my time with a fixed period of auctioning, unfortunately :(

for surely.  and, we'll here the collective wail of all those who've been charging 150+ bones for a copy of the original game up to now.  time to watch their prices plummet ;)
#66
i would say that its arrival in the states is a guarantee.
the translation is already complete - as it was done for the psp port.  so, it's a trivial amount of work for them to bring it here.  and, they know that they'll easily make back the insignificant amount of money it takes to get it going on vc.

Quote from: SignOfZeta on 05/06/2008, 01:12 PMNow the iPhone is way more powerful that a DS, so it could, in theory, do a much better job with its nice screen and all, but controlling it would suuuuuuck, so I'd rather have it on DS.
the iphone is waaaaay more powerful than even the PSP
it's a flipping monster.
but, yeah, it's definitely far less than adequate for controlling games that were designed for d-pad and button controls.

nossir - Glum Buster is a pc game.  i've no turbo development chops (yet? ;) ).  i posted a few screenshots and dev artwork a while back (pre alpha, so they're a bit old) at my deviant art space if you're interested in what it looks like.

being buried in the dev of my own game even more than ever over the past few months - pushing toward beta - it's rare that i get to pop in and see what's cooking here.  and, it's always grand when i get a chance to do so, because this place is always alive with interesting chatter.

great to see you all keeping this goodness flowing.  i love being able to count on finding interesting pc-engine et al info here.  won't be long before i finish up my game - Glum Buster - and can start hanging out here on a more frequent basis.

keep rocking!
(and begging that rondo of blood sees a u.s. wii vc release - the japanese make me jealous.)

back on a blazing lasers kick.  happily.

this is a brilliant new concept.  somebody told me it recently won some grand prize award in a competition.
i'll definitely be buying the full-blown deluxe rev when it's released.

some other developer is working on a slick little toy that incorporates similar 2d drawing and physics.
it's not a game at all.  but, this puppy is full of some insane tech that lets you play to your heart's content:

every single game-playing device that has at least a couple of grand games gracing its goodness.
i've always been in it for the games, rather than the actual hardware that they're played on - so i play and collect whatever box meets that agenda.

Quote from: Keranu on 03/10/2008, 05:34 PMI voted for DoReMi because I just found out about it last night and it looks pretty sweet. It's gonna be translated and brought over here?
i just noticed that too.  i'm pretty stoked, as i've never played it - and it looks rather charming from the vids that i've scoured.
can anybody here vouch for the game?  if not, i'll just go ahead and take the plunge and hope for the best :)

smokes!
i've been away from this place for months, and look at the candy that lies in wait on return!

way to go, ccovell!  thanks for keeping the pc-e flames burning strong, good sir.

i can't seem to find a way to snatch up one of those super pc-e flash devices you linked to (second link), so i guess it's time for me to cave and buy up a magic engine license.

peace!

Why there isn't a super rare $280 copy of this for Saturn on eBay right now is beyond me. It would have been so at home there. I love this game.
of course, i had to look this game up after reading this.
here's a shortcut for everyone else:

the ikaruga and rez news doesn't excite me much personally - since i imported both of those gems the day they first hit the dreamcast.
(did the same for trigger heart excelica - which is definitely not a "must have" - and every other dreamcast shooter for that matter)
however, it's rad that cats who were too silly not to do that now have a chance to atone for their sins

news of the original shooter by hudson is what has me stoked out of my socks:

getting closer to having to buy a 360 now.

Quote from: Keranu on 09/16/2007, 12:46 AMNow here's a fun poll:

What do you think would've benefitted more? The Turbo Grafx 16 having an extra background layer or the Genesis having palette capabilities as the TG16  ? We sorta already have a TG16 with an extra background layer thanks to the Super Grafx, but I'd like to hear comments regarding this :) .
i'd have to toss my hat into the "genesis with tg16 palette" ring.
i'm a sucker for rich color work, so any palette enhancement option is always going to get my vote :)

Quote from: turbo D on 09/09/2007, 12:29 AM...On ebay the U.S. version goes for $130 complete and the Japanese version is around $30 or $40 complete. Haha, big price difference. The cd version goes for about $230...
is that the case for the japanese cd rev, as well?  or can it be nabbed for a similarly low price?
i've always wanted to score a copy of the cd bonk 3 (for the extended 2player gameplay) - but have always just said funk it due to the price.  i'd've never guessed that the japanese version was so much cheaper.

The Turbo version wins by default because it has a nicer looking title screen.

Quote from: Tatsujin on 09/08/2007, 09:50 AMSFC-pads are the best ever made in humans history, as long they work fine!
i second that vote.

i also second the sentiment that the genesis/mega drive 6-pressers are dope.  i love those controllers - almost as much as the glorious saturn pads.
the traditional 3-button pads did double nicely as bludgeoning weapons, however.  and i once held one up in front of a huge spotlight to summon the caped crusader.  not sure if i'd be alive to type this today if it weren't for that game pad (tears up).

Quote from: thumpin_termis on 09/06/2007, 11:14 PM1. Burning Rangers.  It's the pinnacle of what I hate about first-gen 3D gaming.  Getting lost in camera angles, and not being able to do simple stuff like jumping on the fucking ledge right above you.
...
wow, you impress me.  you were actually able to notice that you were getting lost in cam angles and hung up on simple stuff?  heck, i couldn't even tell what the heck i was even looking at on screen...

so, hows abouts some god of war games?  funk them to no end.  talk about hiding your lackluster, poorly-designed, anemic gameplay and mechanics behind a curtain of production values.  those games are 95% canned animation sequences, 5% smack the square button over and over.  yawn yawn yawn.  considering the sheer number of cats who get off on these games, sometimes i think that i'm "not normal" (which i guess i'm really not, but come on...).

'tis the galaxy cowboy.  a sprite from a game design and concept that i'm considering developing once i complete my current game.  i have a few prospects that i'm waffling between though - so i'm not sure if it'll be the one just yet.
(@keranu, appreciated on the nod to radness, btw)

jell-o stage in world of illusion is brilliant, might i add

gain ground = action strategy happiness.

btw, i do love world of illusion (and castle is not bad, either).  however, i'd be hard pressed to claim them "best disney games ever".
personally, i'm pretty fond of capcom's magical quest on the snes.  that game is very well designed and produced in all regards, and is a joy to play.

pass a "funk them" over from me to them, as well
#93
wonderful, folks...

glad that you so ably misconstrued my statement.

i never dogged on the gene's sound hardware with those words.  i dogged on all the weakling composers who never managed to properly harness it as masters like koshiro did.

seems to me like the cock is stuck deep in your own mouths. all that choking is rattling your brains and preventing you from really reading my statement.

anyhow, stupid of me to contribute to banal humor and flaming.  no hard feelings from me toward you.  simply put - i feel koshiro is hundreds of levels above a vast majority of those who composed for genesis/megadrive games.  sure, there are some good to great soundtracks out there - but very few on the same level of koshiro's (opinion).
