So we did the bootie thing with the PCE works games.
what about Volgarr on Dreamcast?
yeah, a burn is easy enough, but why not? cds are cheap.
plus, there would be no legal problems, see the legal notes:

"This Dreamcast version of Volgarr the Viking is freeware.  You can use this software royalty-free for private and commercial purposes.

You can freely distribute copies of this software as long as no charge is raised except a reasonable fee for distribution costs, and as long as this ReadMe file is included with it."

anyone interested in doing a run of these?

Heck yes!  I downloaded and burned a CDr of this gem!  Super fun and more playable than the Xbone version we have.  :)
Jossshhhhh...Legendary TurboTrollX-16: He revenge-bans PCE Developers/Ys IV Localizers from PCE Facebook groups and destroyed 2 PC Engine groups: one by Aaron Lambert on Facebook, then the other by Aaron Nanto!!! Josh and PCE Aarons don't have a good track record together! Both times he blamed the Aarons and their staff in a "Look-what-you-made-us-do?!" manner (extortion/blackmail!), never himself nor his deranged, destructive, toxic turbo troll gang!

I would be interested, but I would definitely double-check with the devs/IP holders in advance to make sure they were cool with it.

Does it fit nicely on a regular CD-R?

for me it's all about the manual. I like a good manual. PICTURES!

So a couple thing to consider for you bartre:

Are you going to do it in DVD style case like the assets they have up, or are you going to redesign it for a CD case so it looks like most other DC games?

You'll probably want an image to stick on the top of the CD as well.

Big thing, will the pressing house be able to work with a CDI file?  I know the people who have done work for Mysterious Song are known to screw up stuff.

I'll be using the DVD style stuff they've got up there - it is a post-death game after all.
as far as the disc, I'll toss something up this week maybe.

CDI files should be pretty well handled by this point, but i'll have to ask i guess.

This game looks interesting. I've been using CD-Rs in my DC for years now with no problems but go for it batre!
