Hey Jibbajbaba!  Thanks for joining the craziness.  Ha ha.  I try the best I can.......I wish I had more time for them, to be honest!   Thanks again!

Jesse and Chany...thanks a ton.  I hope you enjoy it!!!!
#152
Thanks a bunch J!  I hope you like it.

Ha ha.  Blu-Ray quadruple disc special edition + DVD + Digital Copy due in the future (once you guys buy all the regular ones.....muhahhahahahah!!!!)  ;)
#153
Cool, thanks Ryan.  I am trying to keep things pretty "uniform."  You know?  So...when all "six" volumes are done, they are very similar in their design and look (similar covers, just new colors and volume number but when they're side-by-side they fit together.  Same with the insert slates for each game within the DVDs, etc.).  You know?  Almost like a Turbo Video Encyclopedia.  Ha ha.

Plus, in the end.....like ten years from now, ha ha.......my buddy who works in the industry is going to create a box so all six volumes can sit in it.  And, the front will look like the Turbo box (with the TV logo in the center instead of the Grafx logo).  Plus, we'll put a booklet in there with listing of all the reviews on which Disc.  Of course, we might both be dead by then.....but it sounds fun.   :)

It's a fun project.

Yo' Matt!  Chris here!  Ha ha.
Thanks my friend.  I appreciate it!  I hope you enjoy the second set too!

Yo' Ryan!  Praise from the first dude to review all the Turbo Chips?  Hell.....I'll take that!  :)

Thanks MasonSushi!!  You're awesome.

Ha ha.  Hey Esteban!!! How are ya'?

Hey, thanks TheClash603.  Although I hate to "deter" a purchase...you don't owe me anything.  ha ha.  The reviews I do for myself, for the fans and for free (and they will always remain somewhere for "Free" online).   When I can find the time, I REALLY enjoy it.  With that said.....thanks a ton.  I hope you enjoy it!!   :) :)

Ha ha.  Actually, I feel "guilty" charging that much.  I tried to get it under 10.  But, I went for higher quality Discs!  I think it's worth it in the end.

Thanks for your order my friend.  I hope you enjoy it.  They were definitely a "nostalgic-labor-of-love."  :)

Hey guys,

The second volume of my "Turbo Views" series DVD is nearing completion.  It came together REALLY well and I am excited for its release.  The first volume sold great (I was able to "break even" which is awesome because...I didn't create the DVDs for the money but for the fans!).  So, I am offering up the second DVD via "pre-order" to folks who purchased the first AND to the gang here at the message boards until EASTER Sunday.

Pre-Order victim benefits:

- You will be the FIRST one to receive a set! It won't go officially ON SALE until all "pre-orders" have shipped!
- Each set will be numbered out of the amount of "pre-orders" received!
- I might have to raise shipping when they officially go for sale, "pre-orders" get same shipping price as before!
- A Turbo Views post-card with your number included with each order!

I realize these might not be very huge incentives to pre-order.  To be honest, the surgery / hospital bills have finally crept in and, as a result, I do not have enough cash to buy initial materials.  So, this is the true reason I need to take pre-orders this time around.  I hate to "beg"...ha ha...just want to be honest.

Volume 2 is jammed with awesome stuff in this 3-Disc (REGION FREE) set:

Uploaded Content is included:

- Turbo Views episodes 26 - 50
- Turbo Views Import episodes 3 - 6
- Turbo Views Extra episodes 3 and 4

Exclusive special features include:

- 29 isolated music tracks
- 15 "my memory" commentary Tracks
- PC-Engine "Stack" collection video
- Bonk's Adventure on the NES video
- Turbo Views interview with Gamester81
- Blooper Reel
- Over 10 minutes of "Totally Turbo Tips"
- Volume 1 commercial
- Season 1 Intro
- Animated Menus, a dozen Easter eggs, and more!!!!!

I worked hard on making this set even better than the first. I know you will enjoy it.

I uploaded a quick 3 minute PREVIEW to YouTube (it has a few clips of the special-features, it is a PRIVATE link...artwork for Discs and Cover are not yet created...but will be very "uniform" and similar to the first):
The "pre-order" price is $13.00 (+ $2.50 shipping in the U.S. and Canada OR $6.00 shipping to other Countries)

Therefore
ONE copy to U.S. and Canada is: $15.50
ONE copy to other countries is: $19.00

If you are interested, feel free to PayPal: spida1@verizon.net
Please put in the "notes" that this is a pre-order for Volume 2 DVD along with anything else you would like to mention.

Thanks a lot.  Keep in mind, the main show will ALWAYS remain FREE on YouTube!  As always, I appreciate your support of the show and friendship over the years.  The gang here at PCenginefx forums are the best!

Sincerely yours,
Chris Bucci

That's great my friend!  Love the cape!!  :)

Hey there.  Ha ha.  Yes, I had already started working on Volume 2 (grabbing all the high-rez versions of the episodes together, getting some of the extras, and etc.).

So far I have the memory commentaries done and some of the music gathered together for the alternate tracks.  The special features include a mixed interview with myself (and Gamester81 and PeteDorr), Turbo Views tips, edited / cut footage and audio from the first 50 vids, and hopefully much more.

Unfortunately, when I went home for the holidays, I was admitted into the hospital.  It turns out I had gallstones that were blocking...blah blah...you know what...let's just say, it's a lot more complicated than they thought.  So, I am pretty much stuck in PA until things are figured out here.  Therefore, the DVD will be on hold until I can get back home.

I am hoping things will work out well and 2011 will be great.
:)

Hey guys!

I just wanted to wish all of you a happy holiday season and have a great New Year.  Thanks for all the friendship and support!  See you all in 2011!

Thanks guys, as always!  :)

I am not a professional by any means (as a game reviewer, script writer, etc.).  But, I try the best I can in the short amount of time I have to put these episodes together.  I m so grateful for friends like you who always support my projects.
Thanks.
Sincerely,
Chris

Hey, thanks a lot guys.  I am so glad you enjoy the show.  Truly.

I don't get on here very often (not as much as I would like).  But, I tried to mention it to everyone on the Allgengamers.com podcast when they asked me on as a gust.  I'm not sure if I did very well at it.  Ha ha.  But, this forum is invaluable!

Thanks again!

Awesome strategy!  I am going to use that next time I fire the game up.

It's funny....I actually had detailed information about the "flashing crystal" (and how to utilize that with gameplay).  But, as I was cutting stuff out of the review, that section ended up on the cutting-room-floor (two reasons: I lost the footage for some reason of the re-spawning and I thought it would be fun to just mention it and let the player fight that out so they get more out of the game).

Thanks for watching and for the support guys.  You are, as always, the best!!

Hey guys!

I haven't been on the forum for a while (had a huge move recently that pulled me away from most things "online").  I was surprised to see my initial thread was still going on.  Thanks for posting the new updates for me here.....and thanks for the kind words!

I am having absolute fun doing Turbo Views.  I truly am.  It gives me a chance to relive my childhood AND make videos, two things I love, aside from playing my Turbo that is.  And, eventually, we'll get all just-shy-of-140 American released games taken care of hopefully...in probably five or ten more years, ha ha.

I realize that we won't always agree (after-all, it's an opinion based show and they're only ONE opinion).  But, I hope I am detailed enough with them that you see where I am coming from and enjoy them none-the-less.

Thanks again for the support.  Love the forum!
Sincerely,
Chris Bucci

Hey, thanks guys.

Like the show, the DVD was a retro/Turbo "labor-of-love."  I tried to add a TON of extra stuff to make the DVD set worth it.

The main show will always be on YouTube, though, first.  :)

In fact, the next one hopefully will be uploaded in the next day.   O:)

Thanks to everyone for the support and friendship (and also a quick shout to Esteban from this forum who "out of the kindess of his heart" re-designed www.turboviews.com for me).
Talk to you soon!

Well...if we're making our lists...I need a Bomberman '93 manual and the newspapers for Sherlock Holmes.  :)
#168
Okay TRON.

I have a bunch of games on the "back log" (that I'm getting to slowly).  But, I'll put those two on the list!
I just uploaded Bonk's Adventure in case you're really bored today to check it out.  He He!

Thanks everyone.  You guys, as always, as the absolute best!!

Hey, thanks guys!

I try to play the game extremely thorough before making my decision on a rating and starting the review.

I'm with you....I hate people who play one or two stages and then say "this game sucks."  While you might not always agree with my ratings (some people find R-Type's difficulty the "genius"' of its design, I find it frustrating and, after-a-while, not much fun....though I still say it's an above-average game), hopefully through being "detailed" I can stand by my opinions.
You know?

Anyway....thanks again!!!!
Chris

Hey, thanks.  I'm hoping in the spring when I dust off the games a bit (and can get to them........they're in a temporarily different place right now) that I can do a few more reviews of them.  :)

Quote from: geddon_jt on 01/19/2009, 09:52 PMAnother awesome review. I concur with your sentiments totally. DE2 is an awesome game, definitely some of the best cinematics on the system too.

You know, your review style almost reminds me of Rick Steves' Europe on the Travel Channel. Your narration style is strangely similar, you're just talking games instead of European sightseeing. LOL
LOL!  Thanks!

You know, I just reviewed one of my "least" favorite games on the system (Darkwing Duck) and uploaded it to YouTube.  And it's funny........I found myself getting really MAD as I read the script.  I almost turned into the Angry Videogame Nerd.  Amazing how a bad game can do that to you!   :)

Quote from: gat on 01/14/2009, 02:25 PMGive us an RPG review!!!  [-o<
I gotta' be honest, I'm not the "best" at RPG's (unless they're something like Ys or Neutopia, something a little more action-based).  I'll probably need some help reviewing stuff like Cosmic Fantasy 2.

Although........I just put up my Dungeon Explorer II review.......that has some RPG in it.  :)

Quote from: MotherGunner on 01/07/2009, 11:02 PMChris that is a fine idea.  Are there any games you don't own ?  Can you talk a little about your process for video capture ?  How long it takes to put together one review ?  Maybe a list of upcoming titles ?
Hey, thanks for your kind words!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   I really appreciate them.  I'll try to answer a few of your questions really quick.

The only US released game I believe I'm missing is Might and Magic III.  I have a manual though, SIGH!   Anyone have an extra ?  :)

It takes me a while to put a review together.  I start, obviously, by playing the game.  As I play, I capture the footage onto a Digital-8 Tape (to preserve the analogue signal the best that I can).  Then I capture scenes into my computer and as I do I make notes on a Word document of things I really want to make sure to mention.  Then I do a little research to see if the game has an angle I can take in the review, unless I already know it (then I still do research to make sure I'm not full of crap), write the script, do the read and then do the edit.  I really try to be extremely thorough and represent the game as best as I can based on how I feel about the game.  As an "anal" editor professionally, I try to keep things in check and NOT kill myself on them (I could literally do a thousand more things with them than I do and I have to say "okay, it's done, let's move on or else you'll never get to the next one)."  You know ?   ;)

Two are in the works now.........Dungeon Explorer II and.....Darkwing Duck.  Oh, I can't wait to do that second one.  I JUST beat it on NORMAL mode FINALLY (after trashing my controller).  LOL!

Thanks again!
Chris

Quote from: geddon_jt on 01/12/2009, 07:12 PMJust my 2 cents. I think your reviews are top notch - keep them coming. It's obvious you connect with the things that make these games really special. Keep it up! =D> =D>
Thanks so much!  I really enjoy doing them.  It's been a fun winter project (both getting to hibernate at home and play Turbo again AND share the reviews).  :)

Quote from: geise on 01/12/2009, 07:55 PMI don't know why, but I have always passed on Splash Lake.  Which is funny cause even to this day I have always been curious about.  I just have never gotten around to it.  Hell I haven't even seen the game in motion till seeing your wonderful review of it.  Now I want to track down a copy to buy and play.  These reviews are great!  Thank you so much for sharing.
I think you'll really like it.  I always really enjoyed it (and I "never" thought I would back in the day......you know?).  Thanks for watching and for your compliments.  They mean a lot!!

Hi gang,

The last of the manuals I need.......so yes, I'll buy a game and manual together if need be.  Let me know if you have anything.  Thanks so much!!!

Thanks for all your support and encouragement gang.  I'm really having fun making them and it's something I've always wanted to do (I almost did back in 2000 when I dusted the system off the last time......then there was hardly ANYTHING online for the Turbo).

I might need some of your help in the future possibly.  I went through the list and there are definitely about 20 games that I will not be reviewing, mainly because they are of a sport or theme that I'm not confident enough in.   So, might need some guest reviewers sendin' in some scripts.   :)

Thanks again!
#181
Hey there!

Are you still looking for the game itself?  I actually have one with original case and game / sleeve (no manual).  Do you want to just sneak me cash for it (I don't really need anything trade-wise, unless you have some extra empty boxes lying around, hee hee).

Sorry so late, I Just read your original message.
 :)
Take care,
Chris

Thanks for the kind words guys.  Obviously these are personal "reviews" so we're not always going to agree.  But, I try to be very comprehensive (in the short amount of time I have) and very detailed as to WHY I feel a certain way about a game.

That way, at least you know where I'm coming from.......and I don't just say "Eh, this sucks."   [-(
Ugh, I hate that.

I wish I had more time to polish them and do some on-camera stuff and show more......but alas, full-time-job woes always get in the way of the fun stuff.

Thanks again for watching!

Hi gang,

First of all, I've been a longtime lurker here and recently joined so I could take part in some of the conversations.  I just wanted to introduce myself and say hello.

So.......hi, I'm Chris Bucci and yes, I'm a TurboGrafx-16 addict.

I had the system as a kid and it pretty much has become my favorite nostalgic console.  I scooped up games whenever I could in the early 90s and have since become a collector, I guess you could say.   Special thanks to all the great posts and information that you guys have put on this forum.  I have learned so much more than I ever thought possible reading through this place.

Second of all, I decided to dust-off the ole' TurboGrafx collection for the winter.  As I played through the games, I recorded the footage and decided to do short reviews of each game.  Someone asked that I post them onto YouTube and I started to.  I met some really great people as a result.  Since people seemed to enjoy them, I thought I would continue and just wanted to pass the link along to you guys here.  I'd love to share them with you as well.  If you're interested, here's my Playlist at YouTube for them and I'm planning to keep on going so make sure to subscribe:
The TurboViews YouTube Channel
The PC Engine/TurboGrafx-16 TurboViews Facebook Group

Thanks for letting me be a part of the forum and have a Happy New Year
Sincerely,
Chris B.

Hi gang,

I was wondering if you could help me track down a couple TD items.

I need "Might and Magic III" game (complete, with or without a manual as I have a manual for it).
I also need instructions to Bomberman '93 (will buy the full game if need be).

Thanks so much!!
Chris
