Want to buy a TurboGrafx 16 manual and all of the enclosed pack-ins (registration card, ads, etc.)

Sealed manual package preferred.  If not, opened but in excellent shape might  be fine.

Please PM me if you have one!

Looking for the case and manual for the Japanese version of the game.  Anyone have one to sell?

I purchased a first model Core Grafx (with the blue text), but the seller didn't indicate that the expansion port cover was missing.  Anyone wish to sell one?

The original PC Engine units used the PAD-105 or PAD-106 9VDC 1A Negative tip power supply.  Mainly, I'm curious as to whether or not these were regulated supplies, which were relatively uncommon when these devices were manufactured.

I have a 9VDC power supply that is unregulated, and appears to have a voltage around 11.5-12VDC under load from a CoreGafx.  I'm assuming that this is fine, since most devices have voltage regulators.  However, if anyone would be so kind, could you take a measurement of the official PAD-105 and PAD-106 voltage when the console is running?  It can be measured by slightly pulling out the 2.1 mm plug and measuring its difference against a GND on the chassis (The outside of the video plug seems to be fine).

Thanks!

Heh.  I guess some guy has a boatload of those alleged "bootleg" copies of Sapphire.  I ordered one so that I could get my hands on it to further investigate these things.  It may not be one of the "legit" versions, but I think it's certainly a better deal than some lesser games (like Kaze Kiri and Magical Chase).

This guy has sold several of these within the last few days.  I suspect that he'll be listing more as well.  I wonder how many people paid upwards of $400 for one of these, only to end up getting would could be a "fake".

I think it would be fun to try to discover what exactly happened with this game, and why there are all of these alleged "fakes" out there.  Who knows...  They really could be part of a legitimate second print run as described in the above link.

I think it's a good game for me to start using that sealed/brand new Arcade Card Pro that I got a month ago.  :)

I'm really tempted, because I've been wanting one of these, but 've already spent a few hundred bucks over the last few weeks on PCE stuff.  Can't vouch for the seller or the quality of the item though. I just figured that someone here might be interested in this. $100 USD doesn't seem like a bad price for one of these things.

I know that there are some mixed opinions of this game (seems that people really love it or don't like it much at all), but I figured that if I could get it for around $50.00, it might be worth buying.  This title is one of the rarer PCE games, it would seem, at a rarity of "8" on the digitpress site.  It generally sells for upwards of $80.00.  I'm getting the impression that the disk is not in very good shape (by the description), but as long as it's playable...  I normally only buy things in good/excellent/mint condition, but this one is pretty hard to come by these days.

I guess it pays to stay up until 4 am and watch some of the late auctions.  I really didn't think I'd win the aucion (I was only one cent higher than the next highest bid), but was quite surprised when I woke up in the morning to find that I was the winner.

If I don't like it, I can always sell it again.  I don't think it's going to drop in value any time soon.  :)

Just figured I'd share a list of my current game collection.  I hope that others might do the same.  It's interesting to see which games other collectors/gamers have:

I lucked out and purchased a bunch of loose HuCards from some kid a few years ago.  This wasn't long after I had managed to score a Turbo with CDROM on Ebay (I think that this was back in 1998-1999).  I got side-tracked with Dreamcast and Gamecube in the last few years, but now I'm slowly building the Turbo collection, focusing on more PC Engine games these days.

I love this system.  I stopped collecting games for a few years, but now I'm really back into it.  There are so many great Japanese PC Engine games...  It's starting to become an addiction for me to scan Ebay every few hours for good deals.  :)

Some of the "holy grail" items of my collection are my unplayed/brand new/boxed TG16 system, and my mint/boxed Turbo Express, and perhaps Dracula X (on its way from Japan right now).  I have hopes to buy a standard Duo or Duo RX one of these days.  They're sweet machines.

What about you guys?

I recently purchased Ys Book I+II from a seller on Ebay who neglected to mention that there is no inlay in the CD case for this game.  It was delivered in a generic white CD case, with only the instruction manual and game CD.  I've noticed that there are several instances of this on Ebay.

Did this game ship as a pack-in game, or something, like the Gate of Thunder 3-in-1 disk did, without a rear case inlay?  Did it ship in retail boxes without a case inlay?  I've noticed that TTI cheapened the packaging for a lot of games near the end of the Turbo, and neglected to ship Hucards in hard cases (e.g. they just put loose cards in a plastic tray, along with the manual for many games).  Did they do this with CDs as well?

The seller insists that the game was like this when it was shipped in the original box, and was not a pack-in.
