Sweet, nice find!  Oh, what wonders & secrets are still left to be found in PCE games, 20+ years later.

Psychic Storm gets a bad rap??  Man, that's one of my favorite games!

I've known Michael's sister Rebbie(Maureen) Brown since I was a lil kid, but I've never, & will never dare ask her about any accusations made against, well, anybody in the family.  Even shear morbid curiosity......I just can't do it.  I don't want to embarrass her with my morbid curiosity, but, a lot of questions about various members of the family come to mind every once in a while.

Same here, though haven't beaten the final boss yet.  Got tired & haven't had a chance to try again.

Yeah, i hadn't been to pcecp in years, & then went last nite & boom, gone.  And then I find out about Brothers DuoMazov!

Ultimately, you're in the right.  If you don't feel comfortable with her having that party without you guys, then that is up to you.  Even if you're wife was comfortable with the party, I would think she would still support your position.  You & your wife are a team.  That's something my wife & I are still working on 16 years into our marriage.  Making sure we communicate our feelings, & working together toward solutions.  While I might've allowed a child of mine(I don't have kids, we don't want any) have a party in those circumstances, it would seem to me, that erring on the side of caution is a better solution for compromise, rather than going with your wife's opinion.  I'm sure you don't want to be a helicopter parent, but, at the same time, you love your child & want to(rightfully so) protect her.  Infact, that's your duty as parents is to raise a child & make decisions on how a child is raised.  I'm not a believer in free range children personally, it just makes sense that you want to guide your child to a secure future in general.  Everything you say your child can, or cannot do, is something that they take in & can learn from.  Every experience we have in life, everything we taste, touch, smell, etc. trains & molds us into who we are as a person.  I would like for your daughter to appreciate that you're trying as a father, to protect her, & that you care about her safety.

In general, it sounds like you need a nice, calm, relaxed family meeting.  Try to make the atmosphere as relaxed as possible, don't give the feeling that you're pissed off or anything.  Don't raise your voice, even if the rest of the family does.  Normally, people who are shouting at someone who is calm, will eventually cool down.  Try to calmly explain your feelings with your family, & point out how important they are to you.  Emphasize to your wife, that you & her are a team.  There may be times when you'll go with your wife's opinion, but she of coarse needs to be willing to do the same.

I probably will eventually, but right now I have nowhere to put my dvd's.  I'm trying to simplify/streamline my office & get rid of stuff(mainly a lot of Transformers along with GI Joe, He-man, etc.).  I can't even get to my dvd's since there's so much stuff in boxes,  ](*,)  I made a deal with a company to buy that stuff off me, but it's still going to take a while to get it all boxed up right & shipped.  I pray that someday I can't go into my office & actually enjoy being in there!  :derpcat: When that'll be, I don't know.  It's kind of tied into everything going on in my family's life right now, making life extra busy & stressful, hence why I need to laugh!

Vita TV compatible!?  Awesome, I missed that.  One more great reason I chose the Vita version!  I(as a backer) think maybe I'll get the code for the game this friday if I remember right?

One-punch Man is quite possibly the funniest anime I've ever seen. My Hero Academia is a very similar yet equally awesome anime. Both are sure to lift your spirit.
Unfortunately, One Punch Man on Netflix seems to be sub only.  They must've removed the dub for some reason.  I did watch a couple of ep's of Gurren Lagann, it seems to have some good humor in it.

Yeah, I'm waiting for my Vita code.

Boy, I took for granted that it was Guy Kazama, I assumed it was well known, though, Last Alert is one of my favorite games of all time, so, I'm kind of a nut!

I got the CE Vita edition on round 1 along with Antiquia Lost.

Fran is super hot!!  So, this game is connected to Valis & Last Alert, wierd!

I have Dragon Half on dvd.  I wish it wasn't so dang short, would've loved an entire series of that!  One Punch Man, that's on Netflix, almost picked it the other night, but when reading the description, I started thinking it was more serious than I had hoped for.  I'll give that a try along with My Hero Academy(I think I saw that on there).  I've never actually watched it, not sure if it's on any streaming service, so I'd have to find it on dvd, & I think it's a lengthy series IIRC?

Quote from: Joe Redifer on 05/07/2018, 10:31 PMI also backed the Kickstarter/Indiegogo/whatever it was. But I didn't get the LE because I generally don't like LEs. Who has room for a bunch of LE stuff?
I used to get LE's, but, yeah, seriously, I try to avoid them now.  Between cost & lack of space.....just, yeah.

Quote from: NecroPhile on 05/03/2018, 04:00 PMI've honestly not put that much time into it.  Maybe I'd actually like it (or not hate it) if I tried harder, kinda like I've done with Energy and Darkwing Duck.
Yeah, when I first played Impossamole when it came out, intense hatred brewed within me because of the hit box being jacked up.  However, I really came to appreciate the game, if only for the music, over the years.  In a warped way, I have fond memories of the game.

One thing I know, is that bootleg DS & GBA games tend to stop working randomly over time.  Also, occasionally, bootlegs will look significantly different from the real deal in regards to the case thickness.
#20
Yeah, didn't notice any problems, downloaded it & it worked fine.
#21
Yeah, I tried it a week or 2 ago when I noticed it in the store.

Yeah, there is supposed to be an upcoming North American release.  I'm assuming it'll at least be available via Amazon.  Didn't think about the PAL situation, so, yeah, I do hope it's tweaked for NTSC.

Quote from: GoldenWheels on 04/22/2018, 10:55 AMI didn't get a shipping notice that I can find but it showed up Friday afternoon.

And these muther&^%$*&^ bees are pissing me off!!!!
Did you Kickstart it, or did you just purchase it after the Kickstarter?  I Kickstarted it, that might be the difference.  Those who just buy using Pay Pal might get a shipping notice perhaps?

Sweet, SNK is releasing a revision of the Vectrex!!!

I went back n forth between TRU & Babbage's for most my games, bought a few at Die Hard out in the San Fernando Valley, & a few here & there from TZD.  I don't think I bought any from Software Etc., though I do think there was one on the Oaks Mall at the time.  Don't recall buying anything there until PS1 was already out, & I would go in there looking for Jag & 3DO stuff on clearance.  Years later, I got more of my games from Game Dude....besides ebay of coarse.

As for a piece of the 80's, Judge Harold T Stone died yesterday at 65.  That makes me sad.

AT made an SMS/GG clone?  I've seen all the Genny ones they did, but didn't know about that.  Yeah, ATGames....., here's hoping Sega runs a tight ship over the quality.

I can't wait.  I never did get to play through 1 & 2.  I played them both for hours & hours when I purchased each one for Dreamcast, but had other games I was working on at the time, so, never got back to them.  Are they keeping the original dub I wonder?  I don't know that it would be in their budget to redo all the voice acting.  It'd be great if they had 2 english versions.  1 that's nice & professional sounding, & well, the other one, which I enjoy, but, partly out of nostalgia & partly cuz it tickles my funny bone.  I also can't recall if there's been any talk about how the dub for 3 will be.  If they keep the originals from 1 & 2, it might be weird if 3 sounds really nice & polished!

People were getting hostile toward Rover?  Why are people so angry?  What did Nod do that made life for other people unbearable?  Sheesh, set backs happen, that's life people!

Yeah, I think I did hear they changed something about the battles when porting it to the PSP.

They're okay but nothing you'll be whistling in the shower later.  :-"

Quote from: seieienbu on 04/05/2018, 05:57 PMSo, have you played the Feka CD one yet?
Not yet.  I started playing Moonlight Witch on PSP, so maybe after that one.
The English version I assume?  I think I enjoyed that the most of the Gagharv trilogy, though I think Song of the Ocean has the least amount of engrish in it.
#33
I pre-ordered the PS4 version, would be nice if Bonk was in it, really want to see him come back.
#34
I only have a demo of it where you can play only as Goku & Ronald McDonald, wish I had the full game!
#36
Believe me, we all are like kids in a candy store wanting these games in english, but we gotta wait, no matter how many decade....err years it takes!   :derpcat:  Seriously though, I have faith in this project, it'll be incredible when it's totally done!  A lot of blood, sweat, & tears is being put into it.
#37
The dubs are already taken care of.  Tryouts were maybe some 10 months ago, & there ended up being some professional voice actor's who are going to lend a hand for free!  I wanted to be in the game as well, but it's also really cool that there's professionals involved, bitter sweet if you ask me! :derpcat:

Many a memory I have riding my bike down to TRU for Turbo games.  I wish I had some video's of the Turbo section among other things.

However, on that note, here comes KB Toys back from the dead?!?

Yeah, that's kind of what I was thinking.  If it was on Vita, I'd be more tempted, something to play on the go, otherwise I might pick it up digitally when on a flash sale.

General Gaming / The C64 Mini
03/10/2018, 02:03 AM
Just wondering if anybody else around here is interested in the C64 Mini?  I'm looking forward to it, just waiting for info on the Western release.  I'm also looking forward to the ZX Spectrum Vega Plus.....if it indeed is actually coming out.  I like the look of the system & it's games.....none of which I really grew up with.  The only Euro stuff I grew up with is the Amiga, with Shadow of the Beast & such.    A friend of mine has an Amiga with tons of games from BITD, though I recall the games taking forever to load.  I have fiddled around with Amiga emu's, but I'd love to see an Amiga Mini!

Well, either way, I look forward to more PCE progress when you get around to it!

I picked up Super Hydorah & Fallen Legion(Vita).  I just barely missed out on the regular edition of Super Hydorah, really just wanted the game, but, there were still some special editions left, so, I caved & grabbed one of those.  I originally was going to try to get all 3 games, till I realised only Fallen Legion was on Vita.  The other game looked like it might be interesting....but not enough for me to want to add it to my PS4 library. I only have so much space & $ anyways, so, oh well.

Just noticed I got my shipping notice for Sky Force & Croixleur Sigma!
