I had an issue with one I solved by lifting the CE and WE pins and adding 1K resistors in series with the 2 pins
The chip has a certain amount of capacitance and the signals were ringing
The resistors stopped the ringing

What ram did you use?

I use a sony chip: SONY CXK58257AM-12L
The same chip I used to replace the ram in a PC Engine White model that had corrupted graphics and worked great!
But dont know which other ram I could use, other than those lines the IFU works great, anyway I cant read those kanjis, so not a big loss..

Finally!! I make it work... 
Im very happy.. after months and months of hitting myself to a wall](/forums/Smileys/default/eusa_wall.gif "Brick wall")
It finally works!! Now I can save files and because I did the Fram mod they will last forever..
The culprit? a tiny rotten trace that was under that gunk that keeps those botched cables in place, I don't know why I didn't remove it sooner! Yes I know Im that stupid..
But as you can see I still have those lines over the text, that should be bad ram but I already change those, but know what... I dont care, its working now as intended and Im happy with that.. Maybe I will come back some other time...

Last post by NightWolve - 04/14/2025, 08:46 PMAbout the only Duo memorabilia I own is this TTi CD case (fits 12 CDs) which I bought together with my Turbo Duo in the 90's, though a piece of it cracked off on the other side, needs plastic repair glue. Can't find photos of it online, I even tried an image google search but found nothing. I could swear I've seen it shared on Facebook years ago though. Anyway, I thought I'd log my photo here. I keep my best games in it like Ys Book I & II, Ys III-IV, Cosmic Fantasy 2, Exile 1 & 2, Dracula X, Dragon Slayer, Gate/Lords of Thunder, and Valis II-III.
