10/31/2023: Localization News - Dead of the Brain 1!

No, NOT a trick, a Halloween treat! Presenting the Dead of the Brain 1 English patch by David Shadoff for the DEAD last official PC Engine CD game published by NEC before exiting the console biz in 1999! I helped edit/betatest and it's also a game I actually finished in 2023, yaaay! Shubibiman also did a French localization. github.com/dshadoff/DeadoftheBrain

Quote from: guest on 09/17/2014, 05:32 PMHere's some stuff. MMIII book is for the computer game, but I count it as 100% official TG16 product:

Quote from: Mishran on 09/16/2014, 11:48 PMGamePro also released strategy guides titled "GamePro Hot Tips" that had info for some TG games included. I can confirm two, Sports games and Adventure games. Not sure if any more were released.
Awesome. Didn't know about these. Ordered.
What is in that Ultimate Hint guide? I'll have to look for that.

Quote from: Mishran on 07/01/2013, 08:57 AMAll we need is an adapter for the NES zapper or SMS phaser. I don't see how it could be hard to code light gun support into a Turbo game since it all software based. I don't know the first thing about coding though, so what do I know. I'd prefer the phaser though since the dsub connectors are much easier to obtain than the retarded NES controller ports.

Operation wolf style game would definitely be cool. Could always go NAM 1945 style too.

With Arcade card support the turbo should have no trouble handling it. :P
Sadly, an NES Zapper would only work for folks (like me) who still use console + CRT television...folks who use handhelds, computer emulation and modern TV's will not be able to enjoy it.

'Tis sad IMG
Find yourself a small CRT just for lightgun games. I have a small 13" I use specifically for lightgunny goodness. Of course now I have a 27" CRT I was given recently that  I'll use for all my gaming. HD TVs be damned!

I fucking loled so hard.

Germany, you crazy.

Also, I officially claim dibs on the project.  It won't see an ounce of code effort until Atlantean is done, though.

Aside from brainstorming, making jokes, and thinking about hilarious taglines for it.

Auschwitzosaurus Rex.

Aww yeah.
There is your manual cover art.

Japan only?
It would appear so...

Wonder if there is a way to trick iTunes into thinking you have a Japan account? Tried switching my region/country to Japan, but still got the same pop-up.

Quote from: esteban on 06/12/2013, 08:17 AMSTATUS: Isn't it interesting how a good thing (raffle for a game) brings out the peace, love and harmony in our community?

ON THAT NOTE: I'd rather have the raffle go to an undeserving leech who will play the sh*t out of it than Mr. Dust Collector.   :pcgs:

Am I crazy? Or just a bastard? Or am I just trying to stir the pot some more?

ALSO: I love everybody here and I am not directing my comments at any specific individuals. Really. I'm just making general statements.  :pcgs:
Agreed. It's preferred that a raffle go to someone who is gonna play the game like its meant to be, but wouldn't you prefer it to go to a good, participating member of the forums than a douchebag leecher? There just seems to be too many newcomers that, in my assumption, are here just to get free shit. That is why it is best to place restrictions on the raffles to deter such actions. Never know when some asshole might come along hoping to get a loosie so he can keep has sealed copy sealed instead of cracking it open and playing it. Nobody on this forum would think of doing such a thing, right?
Comrade, of course I agree with you. I was just stirring the pot of turmoil and seeing what would bubble up to the surface  :pcgs:.

Sometimes I am L'imbecile. Or, L'antagoniste. IMG
I know, just boosting my post count... :-"

Oh well... IMG
What?
I thought Deletion snagged all four for a total of $10.

Now that I think about it...I may have been overly sleepy.

$2.50 per card seems too good to be true... IMG
Should have swigged a 5 Hour Energy before reading this topic. :P Even $10.00 a piece isn't bad. Hit-Japan has them for $6.00 I think and $3.00 shipping. But this way, they get to you sooner and you never know what condition they are in coming from Hit. I have some games from them that were "B" rated, but came looking like a dog pissed on them. :?

Quote from: Psycho Arkhan on 02/15/2012, 09:23 AMlol.  If I sell Ultima, it's gotta be called Amitlu!
If the Stranger was called the Avatar in U2, you can name him Ratava. Or perhaps Ratatta!

IMG

Seriously though, Ultima 2 is as retroey as a retro game can get.

Ultima on Retrocade! Nah... [-(

Like I said, I fully intend to bring Ultima ][ to the Turbob at some point, with more character to it in towns and such.

While maintaining the 1982 style RPG gameplay.

IMG

And, here is the original title dragon, for maximum DERP
 I think I need a new pair of undies... =P~

Can't blame Jobs for what your daddy did to you as a little boy while listening to "Great Balls of Fire" on his iPod mini, dickhead. Shouldn't take pleasure from anyone's death. Unless it's a deserving deathrow inmate or a douchebag relative.
