Definitely a great series. I just started playing Bikkuri Man and Youkai Douchuuki for the first time, and a few of the songs were already familiar!

The "pinch" gestures are so incredibly unintuitive to me, so I don't mind losing them at all.
Quote from: Psycho Arkhan on 10/11/2011, 10:04 AMTheres a few options for multi workspacing (I've used Crystal Desktop).I haven't tried that one, but the handful that I did try all seem to work minimizing/restoring windows as you switch desktops. It always ends up being buggy. Either the windows don't show up properly, or if they do the wrong program has focus. Maybe this one is better, but all that I've tried has been so hacky that I don't care to try anymore. I'm using Win7's keyboard shortcuts and two monitors to handle things, and it's working well enough.
Quote from: Psycho Arkhan on 10/11/2011, 10:04 AMThere is also some dock nonsense that mimics OSX. I think it was called Stardock. I forget, since docks serve no purpose for me.Stardock is the company, Objectdock is the product. I agree that the dock is totally useless. Of course, I'm a guy who always sets the taskbar to auto-hide, so maybe I'm a bit biased. Stardock makes quality software, though. I use Fences on just about every Windows installation that I have.
Quote from: Psycho Arkhan on 10/10/2011, 05:48 PMA Mac is not more versatile. I've yet to find someone tell me something their mac can do that a PC can't. I don't think I ever will. I'm open to suggestions.I've yet to find a Windows laptop that handles multi-touch gestures on the touchpad in a competent manner. They say that they're multi-touch, but, oh man, are they ever awful. I also haven't found a good solution in Windows for having multiple workspaces/desktops (although Linux handles this beautifully).
Quote from: SignOfZeta on 09/30/2011, 01:21 AMSo is this one still based on running or is this the pit fighting one? It looks like it could be either, from the screen shots. This is the running one.
Quote from: SignOfZeta on 09/29/2011, 03:56 PMIs that the one where it's basically a race, but you can beat the shit out of the other runners? I love that one. Isn't there a US version, Crash and the Boys, something like that?Crash and the Boys is a different Nekketsu game (Bikkuri Nekketsu Shinkiroku! Haruka naru Kin-Medal). There was no NES release of this one in this thread (Downtown Nekketsu Koushinkyoku: Soreyuke Daiundoukai).
Quote from: DragonmasterDan on 09/26/2011, 12:48 PMNintendoAge.com has every NES manual scanned as far as I am aware.Yeah, but Vimm has that sweet 1997 web aesthetic that keeps bringing me back.
Quote from: Psycho Arkhan on 09/26/2011, 10:07 AMInstruction books. They give instructions. Most people apparently don't read them.This. Seriously. I hate seeing games get ripped because the player is too stupid to google up the instruction manual.
Quote from: Psycho Arkhan on 09/23/2011, 08:20 PMif KI sucks, the 3DS will be thrown against a wall.Wait until they push the update that lets you record 3D video. Then you can record it being thrown against the wall in 3D...assuming the SD card can be pulled from the wreckage.
Quote from: Mathius on 09/22/2011, 02:10 PMWelcome! I like the FW website, but it hasn't seemed to help me on my Twin Fami issues. Those disc drives are a pain! The best FDS repair guide that I'm aware of is over at FamicomDiskSystem.com. The drive in the Twin is the same as the drive in a plain old FDS, so the guide does apply. The drives are a huge pain in general, though. I was sure to buy mine "guaranteed working" from a trusted forum member.
