I still can't post attachments!
Anyway, I had a couple auctions end today and the zero feedback bidder hasn't answered emails (I emailed him several days ago) so I know where this is going.
Anyway, anyone interested in buying some games? Or trading?
I'm looking for:
Ginga Fukei Densetsu Sapphire
Aero Blasters CIB
Legend Of Hero Tonma CIB
I'm looking to make room so I'll give good deals if you buy a few games at a time!

so there is some "zero feedback" buyer out there that is bidding on your auctions and not paying?
i will add another one of yours that mysteriously has been relisted after mr. zero feedback didnt pay...

my spidey sense is tingling with suspected shenanigans.
you list three, plus mine is 4. i doubt you got hosed on 4 auctions for these games.
What is that fishy smell?
Hot Tuna.
The Duo lot was cancelled.
The 3 I listed here were all the same buyer.

is the "duo lot" the one that sold for 710?
Yes.
you know that there is a way to give an offer to the second highest bidder right? I've had to do this a couple of times myself when a highest bidder didn't communicate or pay for anything.
Can you list prices? if your going to offer them up here
Quote from: Green on 10/16/2016, 06:49 PMYes.
so thats the one you just responded to me on ebay saying a "zero feedback buyer" wasnt paying.
so to me, that sounds just like the other 3 you listed.
I smell something fishy.

Close your legs
To the conspiracy theorist, I wouldn't be so quick with those accusations. If someone is going to shill their own auctions then the second place bidder would be the 0 feedback guy, not the winner. You'd also see the 0 feedback guy have a ton of bids, slowly and incrementally pushing the other bidder up.
I suspected these wouldn't be paid for though, they went WAY higher than I'd think. Especially with condition considered.
Having said that, I'm interested in a few, sending PM.
Nobody said it was shill bidding, but it certainly could be. It's dead simple to set a shill max bid at the seller's reserve price, making it so the shill will automatically slightly outbid anyone up to that price and ending with a no sale if the 'reserve' isn't met.
But I'm more concerned that he canceled the 'duo lot' for seemingly no reason and has multiple feedbacks where he refused to ship something honestly won and paid for. I'd definitely be leery of buying from this guy.
As for why he didn't go with the second place winner, it's because he'd have to be willing to settle for far less money for the first two lots ($432.23 less on the Splatterhouse etc. lot and $172.50 less on the Riot Zone etc. lot), though the third lot would presumably sell to the sniper for a mere $5 less.

lol... you are responding to jonne.
anyway, i am not sure about the difference in "cancel" vs. the other listings.
he wrote back to me on ebay that it was "cancelled" because zero-feedback buyer wasnt paying.
just like the other listings
the game is afoot
But the 'duo lot' wasn't won by the zero feedback guy.
Quote from: guest on 10/17/2016, 12:19 PMBut the 'duo lot' wasn't won by the zero feedback guy.
but zero-feedback was second highest bidder.
i never looked at the bid history, but this now makes it more suspect that he told me it was cancelled because zero feedback wasnt paying.
and THEN he relisted the lot.
so.........

So how are you selling games from these lots if they are currently back up on ebay? You made your post the same day the lots ended the first time. So you just knew someone wasnt going to pay you and decided to post here but then also relisted all the lots at the same time? And the 0 feedback new bidder has 75% bid activity with you.... Sure seems like someone is gonna get fuked here.

Not necessarily. Often a strategy is employed to outbid the next highest bidder and then offer that person the price at their highest, which it might not have otherwise got to if bidding was normal.

He seems to have listed every single one though, go figure. It's not like they were in nice condition and he's keeping upgrades and selling dupes either, not sure. I recognized it because I was looking for a nice Ninja Spirit and this one has a gigantic tear on the back of the box.

You're pretty lucky. Happens to me probably 1 out of every 50 or 60 sales. Maybe not pretty common but it happens.
Non paying bidders I find depends on what country the bidder is from, I found that bidders from specific countries are much, much more likely to back out from following through with payment.
At one point I was getting so many from one specific country I just had to close my auctions to that country which I really didn't want to do.
Bidders from USA and UK I found very, very rarely didn't follow through with payment, it happened around 1 in 500-1000 transactions.
But yes Green's auctions are very suspicious and also why didn't he offer second chance offers to the next highest bidders in the original auction? that is normally what happens in the rare occurrence the highest bidder backs out.

The 2nd bidder doesn't have to be a shill, that can be the numbnuts collectard you are trolling for... Once they realize that they were bidding against someone who wasn't going to pay, they MIGHT have the brains to turn down the offer.
the strategy is painfully obvious at this point. all his OMG R@R3Z have seen the same fate.
start low to entice bids
shill like you mean it!
see where it ends
relist with stupid high BIN
cross fingers
rinse/repeat
defend self on forums cuz this happens "all the time"
i mean come on, you happen to have 4 or 5 turbo related auctions turn out like this? It's fun to jest, but at this point, you are just insulting the forum.

I think it's just bad luck on this part. I had a $900 snipe that didn't register on the $909 CIB lot and I would have paid. I felt like I was stretching a bit on condition but the vast majority of the CIB TG16 games I see are beat. Can't comment on the other lot but the CIB lot was valid and I definitely would have paid if the winner backed out.

You know why people normally back out on a second chance? It's because they don't want to pay their max bid to win an action where the price reached their limit just because some jerk put in a huge number and didn't pay shouldn't mean I need to pay my max bid (plus many sellers have abused it in this fashion just to get max monies).
If someone offers me a "second-chance" I tell them I am interested, but I'm not going to pay my max. I'll pay the amount I bid + the next increment before the "winning" non-paying buyer showed up and started a bid war that they weren't going to pay.
And you know what most sellers say? "I would rather relist the auction. I think it will go for more than that."

I love that damn song, too. I still have the 7" single I've owned since I was a little kid in the 80's.
Yes, the b-side is the GERMAN LANGUAGE version. I think this was pretty common, back in the day, since I have German version for a bunch of singles (Nena's 99 Luftballoons, for example...)
What's funny is that I can't remember, off hand, if any of my Falco records have German versions....
NOTE: I know very little German, from my grandparents.
