@GTV reviews the Cosmic Fantasy 1-2 Switch collection by Edia, provides examples of the poor English editing/localization work. It's much worse for CF1. Rated "D" for disappointment, finding that TurboGrafx CF2 is better & while CF1's the real draw, Edia screwed it up...

Define pretty common. I've had it happen maybe 2-3 times over the course of 500+ online sales. That's less than 1%.

That is not true.  End of story.  Also untrue is that you can determine a NPB in that short of a time...

You're pretty lucky. Happens to me probably 1 out of every 50 or 60 sales. Maybe not pretty common but it happens.

Non paying bidders I find depends on what country the bidder is from, I found that bidders from specific countries are much, much more likely to back out from following through with payment.
At one point I was getting so many from one specific country I just had to close my auctions to that country which I really didn't want to do.
Bidders from USA and UK I found very, very rarely didn't follow through with payment, it happened around 1 in 500-1000 transactions.
But yes Green's auctions are very suspicious and also why didn't he offer second chance offers to the next highest bidders in the original auction? that is normally what happens in the rare occurrence the highest bidder backs out.

Because the second place shill didn't want to pay either?

Of course I offered this. I find people usually don't buy it if they are given a second chance. Just my experience.

The 2nd bidder doesn't have to be a shill, that can be the numbnuts collectard you are trolling for... Once they realize that they were bidding against someone who wasn't going to pay, they MIGHT have the brains to turn down the offer.

bob

the strategy is painfully obvious at this point.  all his OMG R@R3Z have seen the same fate.
start low to entice bids
shill like you mean it!
see where it ends
relist with stupid high BIN
cross fingers
rinse/repeat
defend self on forums cuz this happens "all the time"

i mean come on, you happen to have 4 or 5 turbo related auctions turn out like this?  It's fun to jest, but at this point, you are just insulting the forum.

I think it's just bad luck on this part.  I had a $900 snipe that didn't register on the $909 CIB lot and I would have paid.  I felt like I was stretching a bit on condition but the vast majority of the CIB TG16 games I see are beat.  Can't comment on the other lot but the CIB lot was valid and I definitely would have paid if the winner backed out.

You know why people normally back out on a second chance? It's because they don't want to pay their max bid to win an action where the price reached their limit just because some jerk put in a huge number and didn't pay shouldn't mean I need to pay my max bid (plus many sellers have abused it in this fashion just to get max monies).

If someone offers me a "second-chance" I tell them I am interested, but I'm not going to pay my max.  I'll pay the amount I bid + the next increment before the "winning" non-paying buyer showed up and started a bid war that they weren't going to pay.

And you know what most sellers say?  "I would rather relist the auction. I think it will go for more than that."

I love that damn song, too. I still have the 7" single I've owned since I was a little kid in the 80's.

Yes, the b-side is the GERMAN LANGUAGE version. I think this was pretty common, back in the day, since I have German version for a bunch of singles (Nena's 99 Luftballoons, for example...)

What's funny is that I can't remember, off hand, if any of my Falco records have German versions....

NOTE: I know very little German, from my grandparents.
