For those that don't know, Bub and Bob are the two cute little dinosaurs from Taito's two widely successful franchises "Bubble Bobble" and "Puzzle Bobble". They've also made cameos in numerous other Taito titles like Champion Wrestler. They cute, ain't they? I've had a bit of a fixation with anything their in for a few weeks now. Starting when I got Bubble Bobble for the Game Gear, and the re-release for the Sega Saturn (which also includes Rainbow Islands). And soon I'll be getting the NES version (complete) in the mail, and now, I ordered a japanese import two pack with Puzzle Bobble 2X and Space Invaders, today. I'll be damned if there's not some kind of plush toys of Bub and Bob or something in Japan, because you'd think there would be considering the legendary status of their first game and their credibility and popularity.
Don't forget this bubble bobble game.

The E! True Hollywood Story of what happened to me

As I reached the peak of my stardom of fame in the 80's, I started hanging around the wrong crowds. Instead of looking for new hot flicks to star in, I slipped my way into the night life of hanging out in clubs with the hottest celebrities and sniffing lines of coke off any woman I wanted to. My drug addiction got so bad that I couldn't even land a role in Munchie and before I could realize it, I was diagnosed with HIV. Time went on and AIDS was taking over my body and my cure for it was to inhale as much coke as I possibly could while playing rounds of Insector X over and over. After beating Insector X for the 956th time, AIDS had won and I laid dead on top of my Genesis (first model of course) with the "Jackin'" song of Insector X looping. But then one dark night, lightning struck my grave and I raised from it! Now in the new millenium, Keranu is BACK and this time as a CYBORGNETIC ZOMBIE and posting on PCEFX once more! THE END!

For those who were really interested, a thunder storm broke my DSL modem and instead of paying $50 for a new one, we switched to a cable internet service.
Well that clears, it up i thought you got a gf or was busted for selling drugs

Any ways you know how ppl get.. paranoid when a person isn't posting for a while  :P

Pac-Man-who didn't stand in line for this the times i went to, TimeOut! When it had it's release there was.
IMG

Discs of Tron-sure the frist tron arcade game was good but i like the theme for discs more.
IMG

Gauntlet II-Another game i put alot of quarters into. While one was a start i like how 2 gave you ,the option who you could play as beside.. it was fun when 4p play it
IMG
IMG
Btw still like these quotes from what the game had:Wizard is about to die! and Elf needs food badly!

Super Mario Bros-when i played this in the arcades i was hooked on it.. then i found out you could play it home on the NES. After that i had to get one not to mention, SMB lay the foundation down for action platformers to follow.
IMG

The Legend of Zelda-my first arpg wich was frist for many i'm sure of it.With, it's puzzle music and gameplay i go back to it from time to time.
IMG

Contra-While i play this in the arcades the, NES version still stands out for being more complete and longer gameplay.
IMG IMG

Ys 1&2-what can i say while my frist turbocd experience was ValisII & Monster Lair, Ys 1&2 story telling its music to its cut scenes.. and how it played blew me away back in the early 90's. It was some thing to show your friends when they had a SNES or Genesis.
IMG
IMG

Samurai Showdown-While SFII helped make fighters popular SNK set the bar with it's first weapon fighter even while it's been out done by the likes of, SS2. I still sit down and play for SS1 fun.
IMG
IMG

MetalSlug-Man this series came at the right time for me when konami contra series was hitting its all time low with contra low ugg. MS gave me that run'n'gun fix sure it wasn't high speed like contra, but with it's animation it's use of weapons and with a "whole lot of action going on the screen... it gave me what i wanted.
IMG
IMG

That's all i can think for now i'd list a shmup but there's so many i like.

Btw i don't need to list.. a castlevania every body here has done that all ready

Quote from: Joe Redifer on 06/26/2007, 09:20 PMYou are so hung up on the MVS, I like saying anything pro-AES since I know you hate it to death as well as the people who use it.

Anyway why would I buy a game that I've never played before?  True, I can afford it, but that doesn't mean I buy shit because people say I should for that price.  Got my ass burned with the shitty Samurai Shodown already, and that was like $5 complete/mint.  You seem to like shitty games, so I'd really like to try before I buy with your stellar recommendations.  Your opinion means nothing to me.
I didn't recommend any reticular game to you yourself Joe,what the fuck is your deal.... I would never recommend any game to you because you already proved my point in your other post how you are one of those Capcom only SF drones, with your red wine and Sf 2 romantic night alone by yourself. As far as MVS,or any "shitty" game I own, Id like to inform you that your soon to be twice dead AES with its broken ass stick and your meager ass collection of games for it do not even compare in quality or value to anything in my total collection of arcade titles buddy. the difference is is that I take it seriously, not just the Neo-Geo,but the whole arcade thing in general. You are just a passer by with a few games on your AES who whines and bitches about anything with a challenge beyond Puzzle Fighter. For someone who's supposed to be in their early 30ies you have sounded alot like a bitchy braggy 12 year old who has dad buy him anything he wants, but he hates everything he gets. Spoiled comes to mind.
Anyway Joe,you stack your AES collection any day of the week and tell me who has "shitty" games. If you honestly believe you have the cream of the crop, your a fuck wit.
Heres my list:
Art Of Fighting
Art Of Fighting 2
Art Of Fighting 3 - The Path Of The Warrior
Bad Dudes Vs. Dragon Ninja

P.O.W. Prisoners Of War    imported
Power Instinct 2

The King Of Fighters '96
Time Killers
Twin Eagle
Victory Road   imported
Vigilante
World Heroes 2
World Heroes 2 Jet
WWF WrestleFest
Soon to be added after they arrive:
Rage of the Dragons,Ninja Gaiden,Sengoku, and Kizuna Encounter.

A few of the games I own are worth more then your entire AES collection. To me the AES is on equal grounds with anything I own,you can judge it all the same. Its all arcade hardware, the AES is just in a plastic shell and the games built in a snap casing to lesser construction quality. Its just a simple matter of you are unhappy with whatever you do get,and what little you do is what you seem to make all your judgements by.

Also, you brag about the AES basically being a rich mans toy, thats how it seems at least, how you can afford it,but yet you have hardly anything for it yourself, just a few of the cheap titles and a broken stick.... I fail to see how you can insinuate me or Tron or any MVS fan are poor for collecting MVS hardware instead.

And for that matter, look at my game list, like I said,I own games worth more then your entire AES collection. The only so so worth item you have of real value is a convert cart of a fucking Neo Turf Masters....YOU ARE NOTHING compared to me on this subject of dropping high dollar amounts on games. And I buy NOTHING anyone recommends. I think for my fuckin self. And there are others with many more titles under their cap,MVS or jamma then I, so go to hell with you baby whine bullshit and self assumed rich boy nonsense. God your so fuckin rainbow like Hammad :P

And for the MVS fans, heres a ugly poor quality pic of my carts.
IMG
Nuff said i'm not gonna get in the middle of this. If Joe wants to stay with AES that's his thing.

Still far as MVS being a poor mans neo for wich Joe stated i call it bs. There are some games that are worth 100+ i should know i've bought a few for that price. Such as View Point and Twinklestar Sprites not to mention a few kits that i have bought over time.

Also setup on mvs can add up if the board is consolized or your if you get a cab instead.

Still when it comes down to the hardware it's the same thing it's just a price difference.

Some perfer mvs becuse the games are cheaper and are not worry about it's looks. Beside wanting, to play the game and are not worry if it holds a value.

While, AES owners want some thing that looks nice and that's convenient to play.... and beside wanting.. a return investment if 'they don't like the game.

Plus when they have the money to burn on it why should the, AES owner care

Ok that's my thought on the whole thing.

Still i can't blame ya for getting upset Micheal i see "that attitude from any one that owns a, AES all the time.

Still i guess you wanted it to work and not worry about it's looks.

Having a, CMVS is convenient since ya just have it hookup to the tv and your ready to go.
Lol,actually it looks pretty nice,to me at least,as its how I wanted it to look, although I am sure others look much nicer when having alot of money poured into them. All the jacks are hidden pretty well under the metal casing. The only really ghetto part right now is the atx power plug wires your looking at....unless you hate wood. I hate sheet metal,it conducts, and plexiglass, cause it can crack and it scuffs easily,so I will only use wood. That will be different here soon. I will be altering a power supply so its just used for this, and the wires will be housed in toobing. I used a real MVS insert, and bolted it down too. I bolted the encoder onto the metal casing instead of what I know people usually do,hot glue it to the PCB. Hot glue can be a real pain in the ass to remove,so if the encoder ever went bad I'd not want to have to pry hot glue off of it. That would suck ass. the paint job is perfect,no runs what so ever. I used high grade car paint.

Hey Tron, you got a pic of you consolized unit? I never asked if you did.
Well that explains it interesting enough i've seen ppl use wood caseing for there, CMVS instead of plastic or metal.

Still i call it ghetto since all those wires and stuff were sticking out. Of corse i wasn't looking close enough to see that "your useing a wood as the base plate

Not a bad use for it either seems more sturdy... then the plastic ones i've seen people use.

Now i'll show you mine i bought it from a member over at neo-geo.com. Since your asking for the picture again.

Pretty much the base plate is plastic and i handle the thing very carefuly.

As for the audio and video it just has composite and component since that's all i need. I never cared for, s-video that much and as for rbg... i don't have a montior that suports it so i thought why bother.

IMG

Btw i wouldn't mind getting a different mvs board one day.

Such as a MV-1C since more compact and will play snkp titles.

Quote from: Kitsunexus on 05/31/2007, 02:37 PMSo I was reading the Splatterhouse entry at Hardcore Gaming 101 (Awesome site) and this caught my eye:

QuoteAlso new to the series is the addition of a timer. If you don't clear a level before the time expires, something bad happens, depending on which stage you're on. This affects the ending of the game, as there are four possible endings you can get depending on how fast you clear each floor. The most startling example of this is on stage two. If you don't beat the boss before the time is up, Jennifer becomes a "mindless beast", and is lost to you. The picture of Jen you're presented with is truly startling, especially for the time the game was made.
This intrigued me, unfortunately there was no screenshot. So I fired up Fusion and went to town, and what I was rewarded with, actually kinda delivered, and would be a GREAT album cover. :) If I didn't already have Kewne from Azure Dreams as my avvie, this would DEFINITELY be my avatar:
