My wife got upset because I took over the controller... and now it's clear...

With the help of Allah: Clear # 24! Riot Zone clear!!!

I liked how each of the first few stages introduced a couple of new enemies. Pretty much a boring game though... I had a lot more fun with Takeda Shingen. The highlight of the game was the cool noise that the first of the two final bosses makes when you kill him!

Here is the final boss battle:

You forgot to mention what game it was!

With the help of Allah: Clear # 23!! Takeda Shingen clear!

I really enjoyed this game. I'm a samurai nerd so I loved the theme of the game, and the swordplay engine was easy to use but quite fun. Once you learn the game it's really easy. It had one of the better endings I've seen so far too!

Quote from: termis on 07/31/2009, 01:43 AMI had to look hard, but Order of the Griffin is awesome.  I can't imagine this one looking better on a PCE cover.  (Just the Japanese characters alone would throw it off a bit, IMO)

He's been taking a break. He said he's a bit dissatisfied with some of the goings on here lately.

With the help of Allah, clear #17!! Lords of Thunder clear!!

This game is really awesome. There's often a lot going on at once. The music finally grew on me also. The final form of the boss is a bit of a joke though, once I found out an easy way to beat him without getting hit.

IMG

Also by God's Grace, Clear # 18!! Final Soldier clear!

This one was a bit of a letdown after Super Star Soldier. There are some fun enemies, and generally more dexterity seems to be required than in SSS, but it was over too fast. The only stage that was hard at all was stage 6.

Triple post!!

With the help of Allah, Clear #16! Ninja Spirit PC-Engine Mode and Arcade Mode Clear!!!

For me the increase in difficulty in Arcade mode was quite significant. I cleared PC-Engine mode in about 2 hours (stage 5 taking about 5 minutes), but Arcade mode was much tougher! All in all an excellent action game. Deserves every bit of the praise it receives!

Double Post!!

With the help of Allah: Clear #15! Nekketsu Koukou Dodgeball clear!!

Played through two rounds of world tournament as well as the quest mode! Once I figured out the distance for kunio's running shot this one was pretty easy. I still haven't mastered the jumping super shots. It's different from the NES version, where you could run any number of steps and do a jumping super shot with every character except paul from the All-Stars. The catching is far less forgiving in the PCE version than it is in the NES version, so the difficulty is a bit higher overall than it was on the NES.

By God's Grace: Clear #14! Shape Shifter Clear!! This one took me quite a while! Had a lot of fun going through it. I really enjoyed the panther and it's unique control scheme. Getting comfortable with the panther was easily the highlight of the whole game for me.

I like how this screen from the ending ties in nicely with the axe games. I should have listened to runinruder and just not bought armor to maintain continuity with the Axe games.

And in all seriousness Rags- is your Pops disabled, or just a fucking slob?  :)  Fuck if my Pops was that nasty I don't think I'd be sharing it with you fine folk.
Allah has blessed me with a beautiful and loving wife, who has inspired me and energized me to try once again to tackle the messes at my dad's place. Maybe it's not right of me to show what his house looks like, but I love my dad and I'm not ashamed of him. The hard part for me is going to be living there again and coping with it. Maybe it's disrespectful of his privacy to show it all but I'm not doing it to shame him but rather just to show that there are other people going through the same problem.

I've got before and after shots of the room that my wife and I are going to be staying in also. And yes, my wife knows all about it.

With the help of Allah, Legendary Axe II clear!! This one was way way easier for me than the first. Got to the last boss on my first playthrough. Finished the deal today.

IMG
I find these games to be the complete opposite- with II having been a much tougher clear than I.  You cleared the board with the berserk chickens- and the other board with the robots- on your very first play?  Not saying you're lying- but I personally find that hard to believe.
Those chickens are easy to hit and easy to keep safe from. When they jump, you can jump and whack'em and they'll fall back down. The fire is easy to avoid because it's in a predictable pattern. The robots were irritating at first but I only died maybe once in each of those stages on my first run, and the checkpoints make it so you start in the middle of the level. It lets you backtrack a bit and powerup if you want too.

So I was wondering if you guys could help me out by providing a 1:1 ratio scan of the following cards?

Kiaidan 00 Spine Card
Spriggan Spine Card
Daisenpu Custom Spine Card
Dragon Slayer Spine Card
Dragon Slayer II Spine Card
I posted Daisenpuu Custom and Spriggan on gamefaqs. Don't have the others though.

Quote from: Keranu on 08/19/2008, 05:30 AMDunno, but I like to challenge myself to extreme eating. I downed a whole Little Caser's pizza, which wasn't that hard. You would expect that to be harder than eating 10 tacos, but those tacos REALLY fill you up and make you sick after the sixth. I'm hoping I can take on a White Castle Crave Case some day (and I've heard two tales of people doing it before).
I used to have no trouble putting away 10 tacos... I remember once back in highschool I was visiting friends... and my friends were in the living room and I went in his dad's room to watch a basketball game... Warriors vs Jazz... I remember Tim Hardaway, who was my favorite player back then, got thrown out of the game for mocking a referee by clapping.

I brought in a 10 pack of tacos when I started to watch the game and they were done by the second quarter.

There's a game I wanted to recommend in the D's ... Dead Connection.

It was never released in the U.S. as far as I know. It's a an awesome game. Basically it puts you on a static playfield, and you have to kill enemies. Not too complex a concept, but the terrain is interactive!!!! It's got a gangster theme from the 1930s or possibly 1940s.

I found this while Keranu and I were goofing around one night trying to find Blood Bros. (we couldn't remember the name, so I was trying random games)
