I hate MANY things.

Gran Tourismo series (except GT Concept) - BORING.
Burnout series - Simplistic, overhyped crap.
FIFA series - will always be light years behind ISS.

I'll cut it short as I could sit here all night.

Legend of Mirror Country?

I was thinking for ages about the Odyssey2 one earlier - but they were called the Philips Videopac G7000 over here, forgot they were the Odyssey overseas. :D

I've got all of the 'Complete Guide to Consoles' editions except the yellow covered one, and 'The Complete Guide to Sega'. Have hung onto em in case they're worth something in years to come.

Mean Machines was one of the finest games magazines ever, I also have all 24 issues, after that it split into Sega and Nintendo editions, and was never as good.

Regarding Golden Axe, they obviously never played the PCE-CD version!

Quote from: stevek666 on 02/21/2007, 01:01 PMHey, would you be interested in selling Image Fight II in the future?
It's an ... erm ... 'evaluation copy' sadly. :(
Just burned it to test the unit. I'd love an original copy myself (had it back in '93) - saw one on ebay recently but it went for a small fortune.

Quote from: nat on 02/20/2007, 11:23 AMNo, this is segasonic44, the 44th individual to use the handle.
Actually I was before the 44th, when I tried to register segasonic back in 1999, it was taken and segasonic44 was the offered alternative that rolled off the tongue best. ;)

PC-Engine Duo status has been upgraded from 'dead' to 'alive' :D. I built a UK spec PSU out of an old IBM PSU (10v 1a), resoldered the diode next to the internal fuse, lo and behold, PC Denjin works :D. Put in Image Fight II CD, and it also works! CD audio seems perfect thankfully. I'd forgotten how bloody hard Image Fight II is, either that or I'm getting old.

Now to track down Cotton, Super Star Soldier, Winds of Thunder, Fighting Street, SFII:CE and Galaga '88 - then my life is complete.

Thanks Steve, I've asked on the gsx repair forum. :) Fingers crossed!

Any other suggestions from any of you techie peeps will be greatly appreciated.

Just like to say hello to everyone :)
I got rid of my Duo in '93 and have regretted it ever since, now after 13 years have finally got another one, which I bought knowing it isn't working. I figured it's worth the gamble as I have a pretty good luck/success rate with resurrecting dead electronics.
It's a Japanese Duo, boxed and in great condition, but it doesn't power up. I've checked the obvious things without success, but discovered that there doesn't seem to be any power getting to the internal fuse when checked with a multimeter. There is power at both ends of the red/brown cable.
I've already trawled the forums for the same problem so I didn't ask something that's been asked a thousand times before. :D

Can anyone offer any advice? I understand that the caps can be dodgy in old Duos? Any particular component that commonly fails? Perhaps the big diode before the fuse - if so how would I check if it has failed?

Apologies for my first post being a barrage of questions, my Duo wants to live again.  [-o<

I've read a lot of the discussions on here and it's great to meet so many PCE fans!  =D>
