Well... it was short-lived. I was going to keep at it, but I have a few other collections I should not neglect, plus extra money goes toward my wedding and an extra plane ticket to see my son. I'm thinking of doing a cross country road trip as well... so I may have to grab a garmin or something.

That stuff is much much more important to me.
If you want to throw a bid at the austion... please fee free to do so.  I'm at work right now, so I can't just toss the ebay link on here (because it is blocked at work).
I know it is item number:  320228060325

If someone wants to post a link, please do so.

Roughly 200 HU Cards
Modded PCE DUO-R (from D-Lite)
TG Express
TG Express TV adaptor
cords... adaptors... etc.
PCE Flash Card

Only 21 hu cards missing for the US collection.  Most are with Jewel case/manuals and all of them have plastic sleeves
Neutopia 2 CIB (great great box and manual!)

over 100 PCE HU Cards.
A few great ones in there (Terra Cresta II, and others).

Good stuff in other words.  :)

The reserve is low (in my opinion... in fact they almost hit it)
But if any of you just want to use the BIN... I'll give you free shipping.  :)
(That BIN is there for those that feel like they just MUST have this lot... I think it will be gone soon though as that reserve is about to be reached).

Let me know what you think.

I started playing BioShock recently.  Although I haven't played Timeball/Blodia yet... this screenshot reminds me of Bioshock's hacking screens:

:)
Can it be really THAT bad?  I'll have to try it out soon.  I wonder if I ordered that one from D-Lite or not.  I guess I'll need to check.
#4
No worries... It came in today.  5 days isn't too bad across country on the holiday rush.

:)

I'm very happy with my stuff... as usual!

Thanks man!   =D>

I think my stuff is going to be here in a day or two!  :)  I can't wait.  I got the Duo-r hooked up to the big screen right now!

I'm not that good at searching on the yahoo auctions.  Now... since the shopping mall changed their search thing I can't figure it out at all.  Nothing.  I used to at least sort through 50 pages of games.  I can't figure that out anymore.  lol

When I saw this item... I simply thought they sold headphones with the game.  I thought it was cool... but did not think it to be anything rare.

What exactly is it?  And... how the hell can I search on yahoo japan now.  I can't even get to the PCE games or hardware (which were the options I always looked at).

Thanks!
#7
I saw this and was going to bid on it.  I could not find any information on it though... so I left it alone
#8
I played it on my PCE Flash card... and that's why I've wanted it for a while now.

Great game!!!

Well... here's my list.  I'll start with the Turbo Grafx stuff... and then it will go into the PC ENGINE stuff.  My US list is detailed as to what has cxases and what does not... etc.  It talks about the ones I still need and what not. The PC Engine stuff is just a list of what I have.  The majority of these are in there jewel cases and with instructions.  I just have not sorted through that list as of yet because I don't care if the PC Engine cards have jewel cases and what not.  Enjoy!:

PC ENGINE STUFF:
Huge update coming soon. I just bought a PC Engine Duo-R that was Region modded with S-video.
I have a ton of games coming with it as well.  FINALLY... I get to try some CD based games!!!!

I'll list these soon... it is a bit tougher to list these due to the JAP names and whatnot.
Right now I have 29 HU cards.  1 Tennokoe Bank. A PCE Engine Duo-R (Region Modded)

I placed an order for over 50 other ones.  Lots of different sports stuff... but that's okay.  I like the variety of the HU Cards and I like to play different versions of some of the baseball games and strange stuff like Horse Racing.  LOL

$45 shipped for all four of the games....

I think that is a pretty good price.  $11.25 a game!

:)  So I basically picked up a Terra Cresta II for the same price I got a Gradius for.  I can't complain.  Thankfully I didn't spend $125 one time when it was offered to me.
#11
Sweet!  I got one on the way....

I was watching an auction on ebay.  I ended up with 4 games... 3 of which I needed:  Terra Cresta II (Loose), Legend of Hero Tonma, Vigilante, and Beball (the last three with the instructions/jewel cases)...

Less than $45 shipped!

:)

I'm happy!  I get to replace a Hero Tonma I sold a while back when I had about 20 PCE hucards and said "I'll never collect the japanese games... ewww"

(Now look at me!)

Quote from: D-Lite on 12/12/2007, 01:38 PMI've gone through so many games now I can make out the kanji on the spine well enough for most games
LOL

I can imagine.  You know... I'll sit here and look at the threads and whatnot... and then I'll go to Yahoo japan... and try to read that stuff.  No way in hell!  I'm mainly a HU CARD guy... and can't tell half of the stuff on there.  But it is cool to look at all of that stuff....
#13
the only thing I hate about these sales:

When I get a but load of games and take them out of the cases... I hardly ever remember what the name of the game was!!  lol

That sucks ass when you try to make an excel sheet.  I've still got about 20-30 unknown games because I can't figure out what the heck they are.  LOL

Oh well.  I guess that is the price you pay.....
#14
Yeah... what is the shipping like.

I was thinking of trying out a few auctions over there.

How hard is it to simply get a loose copy?  What is the price range I'm looking at in order to add that to my collection?

Thanks

I'll check that out tonight when I get home.  Thank you for the heads-up.

I wasn't even aware of the Out Run game until D-Lite made his list.  I missed out on it though.
Anyone got one for sale????

Quote from: D-Lite on 12/04/2007, 05:40 PMOh, I'm curious.  How many people made use of the Excel file?  Just wondering.
I used it.  Very helpful.  I usually just copy and paste into an Excel file anyways... then I do a few sorts and then I'm good to go.  It is much easier trying to figure out what you want/need
#21
Big order sent your way... 70+ games if I recall....

I didn't add the '% off' thing that you added.  Sorry about that.  I also see that Kato and Ken (the $3 version) was spoken for.... I want that $5 version!  :) :) :)

I think I did a quick check and saw something like 12 on my list already spoken for.  I wish I could have got to the list sooner.  I wonder how many I'll end up grabbing.  Thanks... email sent already....
#22
Crap!  I'll be at bowling when the list is posted. :(

I'll try to grab some stuff when I get home
#23
Cool!  I can't wait to see the new list.   =D>

:)
#24
I send him another list I wanted as well... but like you all said have not heard back from him.  That is cool though... as I do the same thing:  I get busy and have to take a "leave" from the internet for a few days.  Sometimes it is really nice to get away from the internet!  :)

I'll keep an eye out for the new list though!
#25
Sweet!  I got about 45 or so HU Cards in the mail yesterday!  You can't beat that!
I think I'm somewhere near 150 or so HU CARDS... counting my US Hu Cards that is.
#26
I may send in an extra order soon.  Not sure yet.  I'll check with what I got and what I have coming from ebay.  Then I'll soon you another email.
#28
What are there... 5 games for the supergrafx?  Unless I find a cheap one... I don't see me grabbing one anytime soon.  Would love to play 1941 sometime though.  That's one arcade cab I wish I had!

Dean, you da man. That's just what I wanted to hear.
God!  How the HELL am I supposed to save up for a wedding with the words "and tons more coming actually"?

Oh well... looks like I'll convince her for a trip to Toledo, OH rather than Italy or the Bahamas.  LOL  Think she'll go for that?

Perhaps I can convince her that we should go to Japan.  Then I can hit quite a few stores in that area!  :)  :)  Now THAT could be good.  Although... I already know she will not allow that to happen.

Dean... I'll be watching your list.  I know for a fact a lot of this list is already gone with my order (well... mainly the cheapo hu cards).... but I'll be ordering more soon.
#30
How does P-47 compare to 1941/1943?
#31
Roger that....

I was wondering about that.
From what I've read 1941 is pretty good (a bit on the costly side though)... But I heard 1943 wasn't too shabby either.
#32
Will they work on the region free PCE Engine Duo-R?

I think one of them is for the Super Grafx (1941 perhaps??).  I know I tried to play it on my TG Express a while back (after I put it on my PCE Flash Cart) and it would not load up.  I need to dig it out again and give it a try on the system I got from D-lite.

So I guess my question is... will the Supergrafx games work on the system I have?
I understand that the Arcade games will need the arcade card... but I think that is pretty much the only things I can't play right now.  Let me know if I got my facts wrong.

Thanks
#33
I bought a PCE Flash cart a while back.  I'll have to try it out soon, as I never tried it in my PCE Duo-r yet.  I wrote up a pretty nice review on that over at Atariage.  It then ended up on the seller's forums.  No issues there... I enjoyed it quite a bit.  That was the first time I got to play a few hu cards I didn't own.  First time I played Galaga and Splatterhouse as well.

:)

Well worth the buy in my opinion.  I can't believe I have forgotten all about that thing.  That NES cart looks pretty nice
#34
I can't wait to get these!  I'm looking forward to adding all of these games to my collection!  Perhaps I can get more later... for right now... I'll have to stop myself from spending over my limit.

Buy/Sell/Trade / Games I'm looking for
09/29/2007, 10:22 PM
Right now:

Space Invaders
It does not have to be complete.  Hu Card only will be fine for me.

Got one coming from ebay.  Surprisingly cheap as well.

Still Looking For the Below:
PC Engine hori fighting stick
Umm... I don't need the box.  LOL  Just a good WORKING stick!

Out Run
P-47
1943

Don't need them complete.  Hu Card only will work

I'll update this list from time to time

Thanks
#36
Yep... I sent an email... I figure he'll get to it when he can.  I'm not in a big hurry.  LOL

I figured I'll have to update my list, but that's the way it is.  No big deal to me.  I kind of wished I would have checked back sooner then I had to see when his big sale started.  I could have grabbed a few other games I was after.

Now... well... I placed a bulk order... and I'll see haw many I can get from it!  :)

BTW... today is NCAA football... that is more important.  LOL  Go Huskers!

Quote from: turbo D on 08/23/2007, 12:50 AMI think that neutopia 2 is the only turbo chip with blue ink on the back. Its like when the cd games came in white cases. strange, huh?
I looked through my US Hu Cards and have two others that have blue ink on the back:

Hit the Ice and Chase HQ..... Both are by Taito
#39
I've got most of the US HU Cards... so I've played those. But there are some good choices out there on the PC Engine side of the house as well.  I already have SFII and a few others mentioned here.

I think I figured out a few games I want.  Some are costly though... yet others don't appear to be.
I think some of the ones on my 'to-get' list are:

Populous
Son of Dracula
Valkyrie No Densetsu
Kyukyoku Tiger
1943 Kai
1941 Counter Attack
Galaga '88
Gradius
Burning Angels
Kato Chan & Ken Chan
Lady Sword
P 47
R*Type Part-2
Salamander
Space Invaders
Time Cruise 2
Devil's Crash (just because I want the uncensored version)
Splatterhouse (Same reasons as above)

(What's a good price range for some of these games?
#40
I see... I thought the 4-in-1 was a hu card.

LOL  I love those Hu Cards... one day I'll migrate to the cd side... but I love those little plastic cards!

How many Hu cards are out there on the PC Engine side?
#41
Quote from: guest on 08/19/2007, 08:35 PMGate of Thunder 4-in-1

Dungeon Explorer II PCE
I got a question on these....

First... what's this 4-in-1 Gate of Thunder?

Second.... If I play through the Dungeon Explorer on the US Hu Card... Would it be safe to say the actions (gameplay) will be basically the same for the PCE counterpart?

I have collected Hu Cards for the most part.  I only have 3 cd based games, so I don't know much about the cd based stuff.  Yet.
#42
Sorry... I forgot to give you an idea on what I can play.  I just got a PC Engine Duo-r from D-Lite (Haven't played it much though... been busy at work).  So I can play just about anything!
#43
So... being that I'm new to the PC Engine scene... which games offer more bang for the buck?

This could lead to another "Top ten" blah blah blah topic... but perhaps it won't.

Mainly I was looking to see which game did you buy for little money... but then found out that the actual gameplay is awesome?  Give me a few of your favorites... in both the Hu card and CD formats.
#44
She's a good girl.  She embraces my Atari and Turbo Grafx collecting.  I get my Honey-dos done... and then i can do what I want.  LOL

Not a bad deal.  Plus... nothing prides me more than her asking me to hook up the Atari so she can play some Kaboom!  :)

DLite:  Great prices on your stuff there.  But... you already knew that!  :)

Yeah, it looks like the slipcase is the more abrasive style that came with the later games, not the silky smooth slipcases that came with most of the earlier games.  I hope he gets AIDS or something else just as funny.
I like the slipcases that are like that.  I kind of like the feel of those.

More on topic....

I just posted mt TG US Hucards needed list in the other forum.  I think I will mark off the Bonk 3 for sure if the PC Engine is only $20 or so.  That's amazing!  Pretty much the same game... can't beat that.
#46
Well... Here is what I need for completing my US Hucard collection.  I'm not looking to buy a lot of stuff right now (especially the high priced items)... but eventually I was looking to grab some of these items.  Especially the lower-end things... and cases and manuals.  If you have spare HU Card jewel cases... I would be interested in those so I can make some cases for the games that did not come with Jewel Cases.

Eventually I will probably just mark off Magical Chase and a few others from the lists.  The PC Engine equivulants will work just fine for me.

Without further ado... here's my list.  Just keep me in mind if you got some extra stuff.  Right now my interest is towards the PC Engine stuff... but I know I'll eventually like to grab a few more of these games.

I was just looking at IPODS... but I really can't justify a 80GB ipod like yours.  I only need about a gig or two to handle most of my runs (2-4 miles a day) and my gym workouts.

Who knows... my fiance may reconsider sometime and make me grab one for our road trips.  Umm... yep... I got engaged last weekend.

This is a great month for me!  :)
