i converted this Hori Fighting Stick PC over to work with my Turbogafx 16.it is a Joystick for the PC Engine.keep a eye on ebay and grab it up if you can.it is a great Joystick.works great with Street Fighter 2 CE and all the arcade card fighters.it is a nice one.

reminds me of some of the enemies in keith courage in the underworld. you know, the enemies that look like guns.

does it act the same way with any game or this one in particular? a poor contact on the hu card can also cause this or it is possible as well as the joystick port.might try any other controller than the one you have.these are the only ideas i have.one other thing, are you using a multi tap or single controller.my turbo tap has worn contatcts and it behaves this way until i jimmy the plugs a bit.

Quote from: Joe Redifer on 10/22/2008, 07:24 PMGraphics look awful, but it could be fun.
i thought it looks pretty good,it is miles better than the original on the pc engine and the turbo.of course it won't be the ground breaking title that the original was.i hope they kept the story line intact.

i got the second hori stick in,looked at the wiring on the stock controller then used the pin out posted by a website i found, the pin out is the very same that Duo R posted.it works great now.i tested it playing Kabuki,Street Fighter 2,Fatal Fury Special and Art of Fighting.it works great on those games, much better than playing them with a 2 button pad.i will convert the second stick shortly.thanks guys for the the info, mostly Duo R.i can post directions and pics if anyone is interested in doing a conversion on a Hori Fighting Stick PC.

not yet, what i did was i took the cable from a expired turbo controller and i disassembled the pce hori and spliced the wiring from the turbo stick to the hori controller at the white block.unfortunately i forgot how the original hori wiring was placed on the white bulkhead connector that goes to the circuit board.i have another hori connector coming and i should have it this coming week.i will post pics how i did the conversion.i need to look at the un converted controller to determine how the wiring pins is pinned out on the main board.once i get it i will post pics of the stock controller and the one i am converting, once i get the controller properly modified and working,i will do the extra controller.the stick will get a good workout as i have never had the pleasure playing the pce versions of street fighter 2,art of fighting, fatal fury special and Kabuki IttouRyoudan.i look forward to that.

i also forgot the original spiggan.there is too many but so much of them belong in the top tier.

you forgot ginga fukei densetsu sapphire that is a rockin' shooter and easily the best graphics.too bad this game came out fairly late and was not released here.
i have played sapphire and i can tell you it is pretty good.gate of thunder, blazing lasers, gradius 2 lords of thunder and air zonk is pretty good stuff also, psychosis is a trip in itself.super raiden and the hu card raiden is decent, space harrier is the best home port other than the 32x version and..... there is so many cool shooters on the turbo/pc engine.r type complete is a good one and the cd version of super air zonk is kind of disappointing.
#11
my copy of gradius 2 came with them.don't know of any others.dracula x witch i bought new and sealed did not.

i cannot seem to join there at the ic 2005 place at all, even though i have filled out the form properly.do they have a email they can be reached at? i have tried using both IE and firefox as a web browser but it says "make sure you fill out the form".even though every field with a red asterisk is filled out and everything is legit.do they have a phone number to call for ordering?

i have played the sega cd version of snatcher but i would like to be able to play the PCE version.there is some differences between the two,at least where i have managed to hobble up to on the PCE version.

if that is a diode,it should allow current one way but not the other way.set up you vom to do a continuity test.probe it one way with the leads and see if you have continuity then switch the leads and probe it opposite that you had already done before.you should have continuity one way and infinity the other way.

i have the genesis version and the Pc Engine version,i can tell you this and it is my opinion.the pce version of street fighter 2 ce blows away the Genesis version.graphics and sounds wise.the controls on both versions are tight though.as far as the snes version goes,it is more of a toss up.the snes having some edge in the sound and graphics.never really played the snes version much though.

cool beans,i have the arcade card and a 6 button controller after i get either a reverse duo tap or modify one.i have the game itself on the way.it was a great find as it is new and sealed.thanks for replying so quick on it. :D

is this a good game?what is it about? is it a fighting game? anything you guys can tell me,please fill me in on it.thank you.

Duo R,have you made a duo adapter using the diagram you posted? i used this one and it is wrong, the stick should work if it was correct.

Quote from: PCEngineHell on 09/17/2008, 09:05 AMYou will prob just be better off restoring the stick back to its original self, and just doing a reverse Duo tap so you can use Pce/Duo pads on TG.
how do you do a reverse duo tap? do you have a link to the diagram to make one or can you buy one?if so,where can you get it?sorry it took so long for me to post pics of the stick.

here is a picture of the modified stick and the turbo unit and games that i have that use it.i did get it to work somewhat but i found another pin out diagram.i will use that diagram pretty soon.

it would be cool to take a working but busted up sgx and take the boards out of it and put them in a turbografx 16 case.talk about having a "sleeper" for hardware.sleeper is a term used by someone taking a plain looking beater type car and putting in a real fire breathing engine in it,hiding and not advertising the gargantuan horse power so to speak.
#23
can you still buy the neoflash 64 and 128? that is one of the coolest things i have ever seen.there is many times i have been playing a hu card game in magic engine and wished i could play it on real hardware.
#25
just wondering if this has been done by anyone here? this is a 6 button pc engine controller.i have tried a couple of times and so far i can only get 5 buttons to work and the joystick does not work at all.any help will be appreciated.

just like the thread title says.my turbo is working fine for the moment and it has done me well since i bought it back in 1990 but i have been reading about the lens failures in the duo and a few in the turbo cd while it seems to be rarer on the turbo.i was thinking of picking up a spare in the mean time.any places to get one?
