I agree, this guy is actually selling at a decent price. A working Duo for $300 or less is a fair price these days it seems.  Boxed seem to go for closer to $400, Which would make the DUO easily one of the higher resale value system from the 4th generation! I got a TG-16 controller from this seller for my now functioning TurboGrafx. Just need a system card for that CD attatchment now...

Thanks for all the good info! This thread really is demistifying the Duo for me, and I see a few other members as well!

Well, that explains why my DUO had none of the great pack ins I saw mentioned on wikipedia! TDZ sniped them out of my box! That kind of clears up alot of confusion for me.

I recently got my TG-16 w/CD attatchment working. I had a screwed up controller port where the control plug broke off in the systems port!  just need to find a system card for the CD rom drive. I can't remember if I got one with it. I bought it off AOL classified for like $100 with all those games. I'll have a well working DUO and TG-16 CD system.

Being my first post, I am hoping that I get away with some common question and don't ge the search police (if this board has them) after me.
I'd like to know what all the different Retail packages for the Turbo Duo were. I have seen pictures of Duos with different colors and read about systems with pack ins.

I bought mine from Turbo Zone Direct as new old stock for $300 (or was it $400?) in the early part of the decade.  I had bought a broken TG-16 with the CD attatchment in 99 that kept taunting me to play it pile of games it came with. I had to get something to play the many games I got with it! So I searched through some very old EGM magazines I had from the early to mid 90s and started calling all the old game shops listed in the clasifieds in the back. Eventually I found TZD and bought the Duo.

Mine has a Silver/grey box with a small pictures of what must have been Air Zonk on it. I still have that box laying around somewhere come to think of it. The system is all black. I've seen other Duo that are more charcoal with a green power switch and a purple CD door button with Duo written in purple. What's the difference?

Maybe a sticky could be put together to explain all the known retail configurations and what they included with photos for the TG-16 and DUO. Much like my usual internet hangout, RX7Club.com, has a sticky for the FC saying what each year of it came with and all the changes that occured.
I could search, but there's no discussion in that!
