It's been a year since I've been to Game Trade, but I'm sure they have Turbo stuff.

This place also had an amazingly large selection of systems and games.  I would be surprised if he didn't have some Turbo stuff.

I am definitely a gamer.  Maybe I'm a gamer with collector tendencies?  For example, if I stumbled across a box of games for $20 at a garage sale or thrift store, I would pick them up.

On the other hand, at MGC I had a great time looking around at the sales tent and could have picked up Little Samson and Surprise at Dino Peak but no game is worth $400/$500+ dollars to me (unless it were a full size Ms. Pacman or Elevator Action!).  I ended up only picking up Zillion for SMS and Sword of Vermilion for Genesis.

I am way too much of a cheapskate to even attempt to collect the R@REZ.

Hello all!

As is customary, I thought I would throw together an introduction post.

I've been an on again off again game player/collector since the 90s however I sold most of my stuff back in 2007 when I thought I was done with this whole video game thing.  Then, in 2010, someone gave me an NES along with a small pile of games which reignited the collecting/playing spirit.  Many, many, many, games and consoles later, here I am.

I recently got into TG16 collecting after getting to play a bunch of TurboGrafx at the Midwest Gaming Classic.  After a few SHMUPS I knew I had to get one.  Since finding a TG16/Duo in the wild or even at my local gaming stores is pretty much impossible, I resorted to eBay and picked up a TG16 with Pac-Land.  The RF that shipped with it was an NES RF adapter (that didn't actually work) so I ended up modding two USB header pins and a set of composite A/V cables to allow for composite video which has worked well.

Since then, I have picked up Kieth Courage and Final Lap Twin (Quest mode has me totally intrigued, though I haven't been able to win a single race).

I anticipate that collecting for this system will go slow due to the higher prices of games, so I'm looking to be a bit selective about what I pick up and try to get things that I'll actually, you know, play.
