Voltron, fuck yeah! I've been watching that with daughter. And sometimes without my daughter.

... And I bought some lions. Don't judge me.

It's a good thing you can have more than one system!

Or, you could buy it on a system that isn't dead since it's available on all of those.

For those not in teh chatz Twek basically tries to run Saru out of town every day, while I insist on keeping him as a sex doll. That's just the way it works.

Yes, I'm crying since I get to buy physical games on sale for $20 instead of them sitting in the digital store for $60 forever.

I agree with the early Xbone outrage, Microsoft was being stupid and thinking they could fuck their customers just because they could.

They have since righted the ship and i generally buy Xbone versions of multiplatform games.

I love the PS1 but Jesus Christ those units from the first few years were pieces of crap. Thankfully they are easy to repair now.

The video output is more of an afterthought, I think. The primary purpose is to be a ODE, and they knew that they needed to have at least audio output for proper sound. While you're doing that, you already have easy access to RGB and composite, so all you have to do is add a DIN and a few caps/resistors and you have a cool extra feature.

Unfortunately, it seems that there is a design flaw and the RGB output is pretty noisy. They're working on a fix. I haven't received mine yet to see for myself.

I agree with most of the guys here, the regular 2 button pads are generally the best and there's not a lot of difference between them. I've been using a Avenue 3 lately instead since I like the extra button, it feels largely the same but the controller is bigger so it may be more comfortable if you've got bigger hands. I'm undecided since with the two button pads I have my index fingers over the top like a SNES controller as my preferred way of holding it and I can't do that with an Ave 3.

I don't really get the love for the Shuttle pad. It's a fine pad, but I like the regular ones better.

I never could get into Lords of Thunder. I traded it for some psp stuff back when that seemed to be a good idea.

Quote from: HuMan on 12/31/2017, 08:25 PMTo be fair, All-Stars has the best version of SMB2 and SMB3.
There's a rom hack that fixes some of the physics in the original game. I love it.

You can still buy them on Amazon.

The worst part is that it runs in 480i instead of 240p so it looks worse than VC titles on a sdtv.

Having the books that are the best there is, I do not explain how this forum is this idiot.

This forum is pretty shabby, you ask something and you respond idiotically.

680 original games pcengine, one question, answer of children or fools, juas.

If someone wants to respond again to your friend's imbecilities, maybe he laughs, I do not.

I ask here, waiting for an answer to a question, waiting for someone to answer, that the truth does not cost so much, it seems to me that it is already full of places, where the idiots are happy, is this a forum dedicated to the pcengine or a forum for idiots?

I thought that only the Spanish forums were full of stupidity, I see that it is not like that.

Now I ask.

Sylphia, madou monogatari and brain dead, were sold with the registration card?

By my hands passed for years, many of them, and none has had reg card, some friends of mine also have them, with spine, but without registration card and on the internet there is no picture with her neither in Japan, yahoo, ebay, europe , nor in auctions sold or current.

Thanks to who knows how to answer a question, we will see if anyone knows how to respond to a QUESTION.

It doesn't have component but it has a Genesis 2 av out so a HD Retrovision cable will work.

Quote from: guest on 12/07/2017, 02:22 AMMy old boss was always pushing me to get into this. He invested thousands and thousands into this apparently after watching some documentary, and now his Facebook just consists of him posting "Told you so" status's and memes.

I'm still waiting to get invited to his yacht party.
The problem I see with this is that the value is going up like crazy, but it means nothing until it's cashed out into real currency. A smart person could make a lot of money, but I think most people that are buying while it's high now are going to stay just a little too long until the bubble pops.

The first few people who cash out make a ton of money. Then some whale cashes out. Values drop like a rock, now the people just getting into it this year that bought in with real money just gave up a ton to those first few who cashed out and are left with nothing. And this happens long before most people get wind of it and have a chance to check their computer.

I would have said Chaotix, but personally not my thing. Like a stubborn dog on a leash.

Kolibri is also rated as amongst the better games for the system. But I never know wtf I'm supposed to be doing.
I used to collect 32x, and I agree with all of this. I mostly just play Virtua Racing on it though, I love that game. Also, the ports of Space Harrier and Afterburner are fantastic. Probably the best you can get without emulation or paying a ton for the Saturn ones.

The Super NT appears to be much smaller than a real SNES, so yeah shouldn't cost more than a few bucks to ship. Welcome to Analogue!
#28
While they weren't totally exclusive, Nintendo and Rare were pretty much in bed with each other since Battletoads. They ported Battletoads to pretty much everything, and the only major release on other systems was the Genesis Battletoads/Double Dragon, which was probably because of the partnership with Tradewest.

I'd say the Nintendo partnership was as good for Rare as it was for Nintendo. Rare's games were mostly very good under Nintendo's watchful eye, and they've been mostly awful since they shacked up with Microsoft.

I just got a PC-FX a couple months back myself, for the silly price Rover gave me I'm enjoying the small handful of good gaijin friendly games it has.

Welcome Digmac, and enjoy yourself. Not everyone on here is an asshole. I mean, I certainly am, but others are not.

General Gaming / Re: retro freak ripping?
09/01/2017, 03:42 PM
The first thing you need to do is update the firmware now, they fixed a lot of stuff.

Most of the time when mine doesn't recognize a standard game it's because the cart is dirty, but I also heard many people say the old firmware had a lot of issues that were fixed.

The Retro Freak usually works with any standard game, it just gives an error if it's not in the database but still plays. Maybe you should send me an Atlantean Huey for me to test out.

They feel better than my real SNES pads. They probably are identical, but the real ones have 20+ years of wear.

Got the PCFX Friday, been playing the hell out of Zeroigar. Thanks Rove!

Yo Rove, I bought the system. If you'd prefer to cancel the eBay auction transaction and for me to pay you outside of eBay to avoid fees that's cool.

Quote from: TelcoSurveyor on 08/15/2017, 07:52 AMDepending on the size of your hands, you may find the NES30Pro to be a bit small. I like the controller, but my hands cramp up after a while of playing.
I'm the opposite. My hands are small, so the SNES controller is one of the few that I can play for hours without cramping, I can't say the same for the PS4 controller. This thing is a godsend.

Quote from: guest on 08/08/2017, 02:40 AMYou're correct, I played the GG version. I didn't know the SMS version was easier, thanks!
The boss himself is pretty much identical, but there's so much extra screen that you can easily see the boulders coming and position Sonic where he needs to be to avoid them. I don't think I ever beat him on the Game Gear until after I had played the SMS version enough to have the boulder patterns memorized.

Quote from: esteban on 08/05/2017, 07:06 AM^ It *would* be nice to know if the supercapacitor needed to charge more frequently as it aged....
I think so, I've had some older CD units that wouldn't keep a save if they weren't turned on after like a week or two. Meanwhile, my recapped (including the super capacitor) Duo has held a save for months with no issue whatsoever.

I don't really like most of the ports, when I play them I just want to play the Genesis version instead. That said, the Sonic games aren't ports, they're new games, and they are mostly great. I particularly like the first game, it has some great tunes. Also, the SMS versions of these games are better than the GG versions due to increased resolution. That first boss of Sonic 2 is near impossible on the Game Gear and a piece of cake on SMS.

I always heard Castle of Illusion SMS was better than Genesis, but I've never played that one.
