Hi Folks

Can someone clarify for me if the print booster takes an ink cartridge / special pens or does it use everyday inks?

I am just wondering if there are replacement consumables available before I purchase one.

Buy/Sell/Trade / WTD: PCE Magazines
08/24/2011, 03:25 PM
Hi Folks

I am looking for PC Engine Magazines to add to my collection: Dengeki , Marukatsu, PC engine Fan Etc.  If you have any up for grabs can you send me a PM with what you have and your asking price.

Prefer to buy from the UK due to the weight / postage costs.  However I may still be interested if shipping is not to high.

Cheers.

What the hell is with the last boss in Bomberman '93 ;-)

This is when a game goes from being enjoyable to frustrating then to total give up!

Is it just me who gets like this with games?
#107
I have played YS  up to the point where in book 2 you end up in the Solomon Shrine section.  I have been in canal west to the point where Lilia and companions turn to stone after you get the master key from her.

Then I have explored the locked doors in the surrounding area and have found the Magic of Timestop and the Iron Shield.

Now I am totally, totally lost ..............

After randomly wandering around for near 3 hours I have looked at the walk through over at game FAQ for the first time.

http://www.gamefaqs.com/turbocd/918280-ys-book-i-and-ii/faqs/7622

I think I am at the start of the section headed "Subsection 5: Draining the Canals"

The guile says "First, head to the room where you got the password" and I have no idea where this bit is (I have not played the game for a few weeks do I cannot remember!)

After  hours of randomly wandering around I ask you guys n girls for help!

I have just come across this video on Utube showing how the removal of the CD housing can fix a read issue!
I have not tried this myself so I cannot vouch for how successful this fix is!

Hi

I have picked up a few PCE guidebooks and I am wondering if these were published by the same folk who published "Dengeki" magazine

Hi Folks

Has the export function of pcedaisakusen been removed?  It no longer seems to appear under the profile section.

Thanks.

Hi

I have noticed over at http://namida.com/kaminarimon/hes/ that there are some HES files listed for CD/SCD titles.

Am I correct in presuming that some CD titles contained Chip Tunes in addition to CD based Audio?

Cheers

In my PCE collection I only have around 20-25 games that are complete with Spine Cards all others are without :-(

Rather than me having to re-purchase most of my collection would there be interest in a collaborative project on this forum to scan and share the spine cards that we own with the goal of creating a complete scanned set?

Hi

Please can someone clarify for me the packaging for the "Artist Tool"

Did this come only as a loose hucard with the "print Booster" hardware or could it be purchased separately?

Thanks

I have just been browsing my new guidebook for necromancer and it struck me that the title image of necromancer is similar to that of the boxart used for Darkseed on the PC

Quick Query relating to where to pick up the sync from for an RGB mod on a Core Grafx.  I have generally taken the sync from pin C22 on the expansion bus as per the mmonkey mod

http://www.mmmonkey.co.uk/console/pce/rgb.htm

However I have just noticed that the sodipeng mod seems to take its sync from: A22

http://artofwar.free.fr/dossiers/dossier_modif_sodipeng.php

Hwbook has "C22 as Sync Video" and "A22 as Vid"

Can someone please clarify :-)

Hi all!

Apologies if you know already but for those who only use this section of the forum and do not check out the "PC-Engine/SuperGrafx Discussion" I thought I would share my post regarding PC engine and TG16 site links.

https://www.pcengine-fx.com/forums/index.php?topic=8373.0

I hope that you find these useful :-)

Hi

I have a Hori Arcade Stick and I would like to connect this to my PC via USB.

Retro Kits have a USB kit for the TurboGrafx

http://www.retrousb.com/product_info.php?cPath=25&products_id=51

Will this work with a Japanese controller? Will the pin outs be different?

Or will the following be a better option?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Hi

I have been looking around to try to find out what VOL 1 of the Face series is.  All I can presume that this is "Hani in the Sky" is it, as I cannot find any reference a Vol 1. title and "Hani in the Sky" is the only Face title that I am aware of that does not have a vol. number.

Also the code for the title is also "FA64-0001" which also seems to fit.

Am I correct?

I have been looking around to find information reading the different System card versions and their differences.  I have compiled the following list from several sources (listed at the end!) and thought that others may find this useful.

Please feel free to comment and correct any detail.

Accessing saved data management menu:

To access the save data management menu press "Select" on the splash screen.  The following options are shown on a menu (top to bottom) Delete, Format, End

System Card 1.0

* Bundled with the debut Japanese CD-ROM system release (Not released in the US)
* Also available for purchase
* Lacks CD+G support,
* Only card that will allow the CD version of Altered Beast to play flawlessly

I have read a few sites that say that version 1.0 of the system card has a secret code that unlocks a simple memory viewer and debugger.

Does anyone know the code to access this function?

Looking at my PC Engine collection the worst game that I own has to be "Power Gate" released by pack in video on Hu Card.

Do you have any titles worse that this in your collection ?

Looking around on the web there seems to be 2 popular ways to add an RGB amp to a PC Engine.

The first is the one posted on Gamesx

pce_rgb.jpg

and the second on Mmonkey

http://www.mmmonkey.co.uk/console/pce/amp.htm

Does the Mmonkey one without the caps etc work as well as the Gamesx one?  comments please.

Hi

Can someone help me in finding out what Volume 1 of the Masaya (NCS) set?

I think that it is "Gaia No Monsho"

Is this correct?
