Back in (uh the eighties/nineties) some pc engines came into the u.k and because of the pal/ntsc issue had to be modified, but they were not done properly. Apprently this is quite common for pc engines in the u.k. It's a damn pain and I hope all you American people realize how lucky you are! :)

Anyway, I have one white pc engine which plays games fine, unfortunately the graphics look like commodore64 graphics. I am not kidding. I think its been a shitty pal conversion, it's rf output. I know where I can get it fixed, its gonna cost 40 pounds..just wondering if anyone here can fix this problem?

Thanks..

I'm really not interested in anything that came after the 16 bit era (make that, not interested in the slightest). I played an x box once lol. I have never played a ps3, wii or 360 and don't plan too! Gaming for me, went totally downhill after the 16 bit era. I just don't like 3d games.

Anyone share my feelings for what came after 16 bit? It seems , that 2d gaming is very much a thing of the past. But, what do I know? I never go into gaming shops, never pick up any games magazines..I'm totally out of the loop , with regards to anything that came after the Playstation.

Off-Topic / The road to Hong kong..

My brother is going to Hong Kong, with his gf (her family is from H.K). I've noticed quite a lot of Pc engine games, systems etc from hong kong on ebay. Does anyone know, any district or shops that sell Pc engine stuff?

This forum doesn't seem to be too busy, so I'm assuming if there is a Pc engine homebrew scene, then its quite small. Most old consoles and computers seem to have a homebrew scene. I'm not too familiar with most, but know that the Atari scene (from 2600 up to the Jaguar) is thriving. Do we have any coders here? or anyone making new pc engine games?
