[PCE/TG-16|CD/SGX Discussion / Alien Crush secret glitch?]

I was playing some AC tonight and when I was in the bonus room with the sculls I noticed the ports that eject the ball were glitching a bit so I got the camera and this showed up.. it looks like the Gunhed ship with dark colors. I think it appears in the top hole but I was messing with the camera and didn't catch it very good. Any one else have this happen?

I noticed I got an extra ball when I killed it.
Lucky I had the ipad next to me to catch the glitch, I thought my game was about to self destruct.  It played fine afterwards so not sure. I'm gonna try to get it to happen again here...

[Localizations, Games, Apps, Docs / Gunhed FX1 (romhack)]

Gunhed FX1 rom hack is a modified version of Gunhed/Blazing Lazers
It is modified to make the game more challenging and give people who played it many times something a little different.

The patch is easy to apply you just need the rom.
Instructions in the readme.

Don't expect a different game though this is my first rom hack. I just altered some things to give myself something different to play once in a while instead of the original.

Changes are:
Only have 1 ship/life
Disabled 1 ups
No continues
Ship and weapon colors changed
Slight modifications to hud
Some sound fx have been changed or muted if annoying(blue comets)
Power up behavior altered (no sway)
Only need to put the difficulty code in once for all difficulty settings to be available
Speed starts at level 3 instead of 2
Disabled sound test screen do to level select cheats
a few other small things possibly

Let me know if you find any bugs or problems, and let me know if it works fine on an everdrive (I haven't got around to getting one yet) I tested this in the three emulators and didn't find any problems yet.

If you don't need more of a challenge it may be fun to play through a few times and see how far you can get.

[PCE/TG-16|CD/SGX Discussion / Ys Map Prints]

Here is an update on the Ys maps I was working on a few months back.
(They were discussed a bit in two other threads but wanted to start a main thread.)
Decided to finish my 8dp tg cover stuff first and that took a little longer than I thought but I got it wrapped up and worked on this recently.

Everything is printed now just have to test some cutting methods and cut them out. I made 50 of them.
I mentioned in the other thread I was working on 2 other Ys items.. check the pictures.

The 4 items that will be in the Ys pack are
- Ys Map -Clean version

These will be rolled into a box
They are all printed on pretty thick paper/cardstock  similar to a gift card or magazine cover.

[High Score Records / "Blazing Lazers" Ultimate Challenge]

This is a high score challenge for Blazing Lazers with some specific rules, for the regular main high score thread see here:   https://www.pcengine-fx.com/forums/index.php?topic=4157.0

Ninja16608 and I got to chatting on rules we thought would level the playing field and stop the use of any tricks to up your score. There are also a few rules that have a higher standard of proving you didn't cheat like video taping the play-through.

This challenge is designed for experts and is open to everyone.

Blazing Lazers Ultimate Challenge
Rules
1-Must be played on original hardware with original game (no everdrive) (no pal system 50hz)
2-Must be recorded with video camera (make sure the score is in focus) (just to be clear only has to show the screen for the playthrough until you reach the end then see rule #8)
3-Normal Mode (no codes obviously)
4-No boss trick (no letting the boss named TriClops live in level 1 and level 9)
5-Can only die with continue gels (Spheres) (No deaths where you restart)
6-Eyeballs mid-boss on level 4 should be killed as fast as you can. (It must be killed by third wave if you let the third wave happen on accident it can be subtracted)
7-No boss grinding for points
8-Pause the game after you kill the last boss when "Area-9 Clear" is shown and take your camcorder and get close up of your score and also show the original game is in the console. Show your set up a bit and try and include the connections and anything to further validate your run. if you like show your controller or take a picture for forum. then unpause and let the ending roll a little bit.

It's been around for a while but I just recently updated it adding a pattern background and more dramatic lighting among a few other minor changes.

[PCE/TG-16|CD/SGX Discussion / Avenue pad 6 story]

So I got 2 Avenue Pad 6's off of craigslist recently and  was cleaning them up. Both have some pretty good scratches on them. As I was scrubbing the top section/face plates I noticed one of them had the protective plastic film on it so I'm like cha-ching brand new faceplate under here... as I begin to peal it off it gets stuck and I pull harder and eventually it comes off leaving residue/marks on about 20 percent of the face in different streak like sections. no big deal I'm thinking got the goo gone ready, let it sit a while, scrub it and no result. I use laundry soap next to get the goo gone off still not the slightest bit better, then i try alcohol..nope, so I whip out some plastic cleaner..negative, plastic polish with grit.. still nothing happening except its starting to change the finish a little. meanwhile I'm also trying this on the other face to get a couple of deep scratches out. ends up looking sh!tty on both. (game over man) Well, I ended up just wet scratch padding both faces in one direction to get a brushed aluminium look ..eerr only on plastic (which I've done before on black acrylic) ended up looking pretty good/OK. The scratch pad ended up wearing off the marks. It was like the protective film bonded with the plastic in certain areas or something. anyways sorry no pics of the ordeal.

I hope this is just an AP6 problem and not anything else TG related with protective film.

Has anyone else had anything similar happen?

I'm currently working on the 8 disc poly case template for the TG CDs and figured Id also post here to help get feedback from TG fans
Any feedback is welcome, you can see on page 3 I also posted shots of how the cases look in real life.
I'm sure many of you prefer the original cases but it doesn't hurt to have options of custom casing.
