Hello. A friend of mine found a working CD-i in his closet. It has a Sega adapter with it, but it doesn't work. So I totally need a working Sega adapter or a decently priced controller. Might even settle for the crappy presentation thing, idk. We just really wanna eff around with this thing. lol

...or maybe someone would be interested in trying to fix the adapter I already have?

Is this console worth getting? Should I be asking myself that question? I kinda did already. Kinda. From what I've seen there seems to be a decent amount of games to justify a purchase. Maybe...

But I don't know.... also seems like its kind of a pain in the ass to get a properly functioning console for a "decent" price.

If I happen to get one I have no intention of buying any of the games unless they're super affordable, which doesn't seem to be the case with some of the extra wow variety.

Read on the interwebs that some games require a floppy disc along with the CD to play... so that's fun? Have to buy an external floppy drive..? Hopefully find the stuffs to put on blank floppies? Yay.

What do you peoples think? Should I really even bother? Or maybe I should buy hookers and blow instead?

What the piss even is a fair price for one of these fellers? I looked at sold listings. Kinda all over the place. Seems quite a few are for ones with problems. CD laser failing, floppy drive belt needs replacement, maybe a recapping or something.

Hello!

I'm like looking and stuff for someone to make me some *Sparky level of quality* reproduction front and back tray inserts for Beyond Shadowgate for my naked Jewel Case Dual.

I would prefer them to be sourced from a high quality *Nulltard level* scan of the original, what was it again? Effing 300 dpi or something? I can't remember, but yeah that thing or something. lol

But if nobody can do that thing and stuff, would accept properly done OMG prints on good ass paper using this? :

Also, I know it has one side tab scanned, but I don't see a second for the bottom. I honestly don't remember if I've ever seen a copy of this game from the side as to see the tabs. Were the bottom tabs just left blank and black or something? I know other games have the main title on top and the subtitle on the bottom. Or maybe like Vasteel, I remember it saying Vasteel on top and Working Designs on the bottom, but how was Beyond Shadowgate, I'm curious and stuff.

Also-Also, I would love a reproduction poster if possible. OMG this would be amazing, but I have low expectations as to getting this cute masterpiece. However, if this can be a thing I would like it to be folded the same as the original or maybe rolled up? As long as it isn't folded in a way that makes two separate fold creases, that would be naughty.

If anyone is able to help, it would be greatly appreciated and I'll give ya money or possibly other stuff if you want. I have some extra Turbo games sitting around. Nothing too special, but yeah.

I like totally stumbled upon a US Turbo Duo pad. Well, actually it was given to me by a friendo that owed/still owes me stuff/mons because of a trade from a long time ago. Yay!

It's in pretty decent shape, maybe a little dusty, but that's okay, right? I tested it the other day for a while playing Mergical Chasu and Cyber-Core, seemed to work just fine.

I figured someone here would want it more than me since I don't have a US Duo, just a PC Duo-R.

What I'm looking for like alot is/are the manuals to Samurai Ghost and Neutopia II, I've also kinda been wanting an Avenue Pad 6 or whatevs, maybe trade this thing for like some uncommon games or a few commons mix-matched with a controller, idk, just throwing ideas out there.

[NEC Console Resource / Hey You Guys, I'm Like New And Stuff! (Yay) ((You're All Cute))]

  Hi! 

I'm normally Sir Lurksalot of Lurksonia on forums here and there and such, but I totally decided to make things official since I likes the Turbografx/PC-Engine, I likes it alot. "Funny" thing though is that I did not grow up with the console, I was all about dat Sega as a little dude. I had a big Bro who was all about the NES family including NES, Gameboy, SNES and 64, but I was all like "Nah.. SEGA." This was mainly due to him being a butt and claiming "Our" first console, the NES, all to himself. Even though it was like ours or something. I had to fake being sick and stay home from school just to play Mario+Zelda, total butt, right? Anyway, fast forward a little bit and BAM! I totally got a Genesis for X-mas one year and it was WOW!

So there's that... Let's get into why I came here. I had a friend growing up who was into the SNES and was all super rich and always had like oh idk, every game imaginable. There was one game that stands out, one that had a certain little caveman as the star. One game that for the life of me, I couldn't figure out what it was until I stumbled upon it years and years later on the youtube.

Conclusion? Yes!

I'm into fighting games. Fighting games of old and new. I've played 'em all. Well, maybe. I'm currently into BlazBlue and stuff. Anyway one day, maybe back in early 2010 I was looking at footage of the original Street Fighter on yourtube when I happened upon a certain review of a game entitled "Fighting Street." I was like "Wow, Street Fighter had a home console release under a different name, oh, wow!" lol So after watching that review, I browsed the user's channel, a one Spida1a, omg he's great. I found a review for a game called "Bonk's Adventure" and was absolutely frozen. I had found the character from the game that I couldn't remember from my childhood. I was so happy. I watched all his reviews and started really liking some of the games. I was then on a mission to find a Turbografx, luckily I had a friend to help. within about a month or so, my friend came through for me with a loose Turbo console that he had obtained at a convention! Yay! ...I had to find an ac adapter, rf cable and controller on my own though. lol

So yeah, I've been into the Turbo/PCE since then and stuff. About a year after playing games on the original Turbo, I picked up an S-Video/RGB/region-free modded PC Duo-R with a brand new CD laser installed from a seller on ebay named doujindance. I'm sure someone on here knows that guy, yeah? He's really nice. Yay!

At some point nearly everyday I think to myself "Why the eff couldn't I have know about the Turbografx when I was a kid? Why?!"
