Damn that idea is cool.

Quote from: Johnpv on 01/21/2018, 05:01 PMSo the PC version got delayed again, it seems that there were some calls being made that are on PS4 hardware but not found elsewhere.   Which I guess was causing framerate issues, so they've delayed the PC version and are handing it off to a different studio to finish the porting it seems.  The translation patch will still be out on the 30th.  Hopefully this means that all of this stuff is caught and the Switch version doesn't suffer from any of this.
I'm kinda getting tired of waiting for the PC version, may get a refund and use it as reason to get the switch.

THE START:

I don't quite have everything in yet, And I got to find a way to mount the PVM, but I at least have the start of stuff moved in.  Still, 4 more consoles and a ton of random games and accessories to move in.

Yeah you hit one topic down,  I think this is actual answered over in the Tech section of the forum in one of the threads.... but I can't find it sorry.  There are several members here who can answer your question but may not look here.  NecroPhile can

Necro, if you read this you'll be wanting to move this topic over there.

Yeah that sounds like Tats Group.  They generally seem to let those kind of things fly until enough people start making a big deal.

I would say they are a member here . . . I think I sent something to that name once.

Quote from: seieienbu on 01/09/2018, 01:10 PMSo, I ordered an Everdrive on black Friday and it still hasn't arrived.  The last update was it passing through a facility in Kiev on Christmas day.  At this point I'm wondering if anyone else's order is taking forever, if I should email krikkz, etc.
Mine just arrived last week.  Mine routed through Poland though.  It very well be caught up in the ports (possible with the weather too).  Port Elizabeth here in NJ has been a nightmare.  I'd look into it if you don't see in the coming weeks.  BF may have been busy but it sounds like yours was already shipped.  I would say rule of thumb is 2-4 weeks after it leaves Europe for me when I have things shipped from there.
so I'm guessing it will be in your mail box pretty soon.

Great work Ark. the synth versions is a really nice add on to see how this came together.

I may need to start emulating the MSX

There were a couple sour grapes in the Kickstarter comments though, one guy got on my nerves bad so I offered him a refund. Didn't hear a peep from him since.

As far as the new name goes, if Yuki gets popular enough then those old demo discs might wind up on the eBays
Yeah this is the problem with kickstarters.  but ehh only a few people upset is good.  and everyone will get their games and be happy. For a first project and seeing it through all these problems I give you a ton of credit.  Thanks for the project Saru.

Quote from: guest on 01/02/2018, 10:40 AMIf you weren't such a crybaby bitch, you'd have followed the link and found that they DO talk about Obama's golf too.  We all know that Obama (and Bush, Clinton, etc.) golfed and spent lots of money on personal travel, but the fact is that Trump is doing both at a faster clip than any previous president.  It's not hypocrisy to mock the dotard after he bitched REPEATEDLY about Obama's golfing and vacationing and promising that he would do neither.
Given the utter nonsense he's been posting I doubt very highly he more than skims anything that he's actively arguing against.  I'd wager the odds of him actually reading an outside source is slim to nil.  Why would RyuHayabusa bother actively engaging when he can just cry victim while making personal character attacks?
absolutely insane. . .

The entire goal of liberalism today is to tear down every aspect of Western Civilization in the name of diversity and guilt and rebuild it into some communist hellhole.
I find it interesting these two thoughts come together. I've read many things here and here is just some thoughts not just for you but everyone . . . I'm sure there will be disagreements to this and I look forward to considering them. Empathy is a powerful thing.

I understand what you are saying, but maybe just maybe is it possible the other side feels the same way? that Conservatives only care about keeping things good for themselves and not the greater good?  You know where the real hellhole is, it is the thread like this where we fight each other digging in deeper and deeper without looking at the other side. This is my problem with the whole thing right now.

As far as Trump let me say Trump acts (for whatever reason) like a brazen, over the top "good old boy".  That doesn't mean he is the devil or sending us down a path that is wrong, it means he acts not as dignified as I think a person in his position should.

I also don't think it's fair to say that only liberals are interested in tearing down society.  A lot of the Republicans current actions, all this "action" Trump has taken, (Idk if all the credit should go to him) have been in many cases merely to abolish everything the Democrats put in place over the last 8 years without regards to whether it should be discussed further or not. Neither side is intrested much in building anything up.

I also think much of his policy has been to the benefit of corporations and not to small businesses and people.  While this is great for investment economy, it's not also healthy for long-term greater good. Every person should at least have the shot at being treated fairly and not being taken advantage of by people in power, it's never going to happen, but we should strive for it.  What's life if you settle for beer and watching fantasy on TV?  And saying that people should be treated fair and just does not mean that I am saying you need to have some sort of (white) Guilt, or even that people should get advantages for being downtrodden, it means we should treat the homeless with the same rights and respect as you or a millionaire.  And people should be held accountable when they break that responsibility.  The bill of rights means nothing if it's not treated with responsibility, discipline, and reverence.

For me personally, I feel like both sides just let me down as do the people on both sides.  On one side we want to spend without oversight on programs that people take advantage of, and generally, regulate industries into having to keep prices extremely high, but on the other side I have people who also want to give those companies and people breaks which only increase my taxes over time, or increases the deficits. Meanwhile the infrastructure of our nation is being completely ignored, and the growing debt and inability to compromise means that there is no plan or money to help alleviate these types of problems.

Quote from: seieienbu on 01/03/2018, 04:50 PMOh, I'm being dumb and sarcastic.  Yeah, that doesn't show up well over the internet.  I think public utilities are great and I drink water out of a tap.  I don't think that competition would make me enjoy water more or feel that I'm getting a better deal.

My big point is against the hypocrisy of claiming that competition favors the little guy.  Coca Cola could afford to compete, sure, but a little guy probably can't.
OH crap, sorry I read that totally from the totally wrong perspective.  ](*,) ](*,) ](*,)Nevermind ... moving on  :-"

I have generally agreed with a lot of what you have said or understood it but, I'm not sure what point you are trying to make? ... Coke is a very large corporation.  and What water company are you talking about? Water Utilities are also much different than a water deliveryman.  Sorry I am sure I am missing something . . .

To each their own but I enjoy the hell out of PS-1 and 2, despite never having them as a kid.  N64 sucked then and does now compared to other systems of the time, but i still have fun with it.

I can't even keep track of all this. SRSLY hurts my brain.
Tis simple, Galam was the man.  he spent many an hour lording over PCEFX.  then one-day DoxPhile came round and corrupted Galam and made him a little less evil so he changed to Agent Orange.  Increased pricing, noobs, and gauging further ate at Agent Orange's soul and soon he just became regular old bob.  but deep down Galam still lives, and we all eagerly await his return comrades.

Also seriously though that ROM hack is the BOMB!

Quote from: VmprHntrD on 01/01/2018, 12:27 AMThanks.  That's what I meant about the terraonion device.  I'm also a Neo Geo owner so I'm familiar with the NeoSD crew(Terraonion) and knew of that device and I believe it is actively for sale right now.  Converted to the local money with shipping it would set me back $300 vs $100 for the Everdrive.

Given what the disc drives costs, their fragility, and the media in general due to how things have escalated horribly in the last near decade it seems almost financially responsible to buy that thing.
Sorry, That's why I didn't elaborate the first time. I thought I misread when you asked about the emulators. .. ( i was referring to the SD3 and everdrive) feels weird given the way this works . . . quasi emulation . . . sorry tangent, anyway we were talking about the same thing all along.   the everdrive isn't bad either for a cheaper chip/card only option.

The price thing is what I was getting at, a duo can set you back quite a bit before you buy games,.  If your looking just play then you have the trouble of burining disks, or buying an everdrive anyway.  for the same price, you can just have the emulators...

anyway sounds like your on the right track, since you have the experience you should be able to navigate quickly.

My suggestions would be this: (for anyone thinking similarly about starting/restarting the system)

I want real hardware / a mix - > Duo/Briefcase (possible region mod) the disk drives haven't had quite that many issues yet.

up to 95% of library

I want to play games -> pure emulation or the SD3 with a coregrafx/PCE/Turbo. (of course, time will tell how reliable these are, but given the group behind it, it seems like a really good new option)
PCE/Turbo with everdrive (hucard only but cheaper)

up to 98% of the library  (note you can get 99.9% with a supergrafx)

I want teh best -> Talk with the people and modders here about the best setups for picture, audio, mods, ect.  be prepared for the community lashback of not another person looking to pump themselves up to dump the system or leave it on a shelf and doesn't care about the system.

I got 3 more:

PC/xbox - Dust an Elysium Tale - Great little 2d platformer - excellent story, great animation, a little short.  the game can be cheap and little hard to handle in places on the more difficult setting,  worth it if you can find a digital copy.

PC - Doki Doki LIterature Club - a random Virtual Comic / Dating sim - I won't give anything away but it's maybe somewhat of a parody.

PCE - Magical Chase (easy mode)  - was just trying out different DUOs with issues with my new TEDV2 and played through it.  I am going to revisit it on harder mode before considering this an actual clear. I see why some call this game overrated.  still had fun.

Quote from: VmprHntrD on 12/31/2017, 12:37 PMThanks for the heads up.

I popped that cherry finally the other night from a nice deal from Japan.  I had this $100 gift card so it was just $50 shipped.  Got a CG2 in excellent shape with no parts or accessories missing, also came with 3 HuCards too in little plastic slips (Galaga, Doraemon puzzler/action, and Space Invaders.)

The emulator?  You speak of everdrive or terraonion device as physical emulation, or actual computer emulators?  I actually own a copy of Magic Engine still I got back when it first released 20 years ago~.  Problem is that one won't run an ISO/CUE file as it likes to be pure but I know burns work. :)

By the way how long am I going to have to keep answering those dumb questions and doing that verification junk every time I post?
not that long.   generally just the first few post, there was a bot issue for a while. . .

Emulators still exist, but there is a pretty good option that's coming out/came out if you want to play CD games and Hucards with added built-in video enhancements.  honestly, I would suggest this over most of the other options.  add it to that core you get and boom, most of the library is open to you.  we'll see how they do in the hands of the general public, but looks like a really nice option so far. That's a small list. Two of them aren't even from the US. One of them was done to stop illegal file sharing through P2P programs. As for the others, yes, some companies do questionable things but that didn't stop after 2015 either. Companies are always doing things to give themselves advantages and that's why they're taken to court. Like I said before, it's not as though all regulation of the internet is suddenly gone.
Ehh. I actually have hope that things won't become that bad.  I do worry that in order to see "Multi-MEdia ITEM A"  I'll have to buy service A.  This already true with things like Netflix exclusives, but I worry it may expand to entire channels, websites, or other things (Ideas) that shouldn't really be "Exclusive".
I believe the only reason the world technology continues to grow so fast is the movement of open ideas.  Now there are downsides to that as with everything, but I'd rather see more openness than closed off ideals.

I used to have an online presence heavily back in the back half of the 90s and then some only to recently resurface.  Long ago I had a Duo along with a nice library of goodies between formats and decided recently I'd like to get back into things, but at a smaller scale to start with a Core Grafx.

I heard this was a nice resource of information and I've forgotten a lot, and my old favorite places like tzd.com and others appear long dead.
WELCOME. please enjoy.

The guys in charge of this now check daily!  It's generally pretty fast now.

A core with the SD emulators is not a bad idea, most if all of the games for a fraction of the price.  If you are looking to play games, you can't wrong with that.

Yep, the 90's early 2K stuff is mostly gone, but there is a bunch of stuff here.

For the Record: I have found that Democrats are generally quite against immigration and have been for decades.  Most of their, recent so called support is just to oppose the opposite side.

Also I find Rich people aren't the issues, Corporations are.

If either side go there heads out of their asses and stopped fighting with the other side maybe we'd actually close up some debt

Then again keeping people divided works wonders for those that use it

SO after 3 months, it looks like I am just a few days away from getting my own home.

NOw as you all may have guessed, the most important thing is to start planning the game room.  =P~ =P~  Food, heat all that stuff can wait. I've been looking at a lot of the game room threads and have a good idea on how to display/store the games and consoles, but there is one thing I can't decide on yet:

So my question to all you boys and gals out there: What do you sit on while you game?
a Couch, chair, virtual cushion, bean bag, floor, Esteban's lap?

Any suggestions on how to keep the room as useful as possible? (in other words, so I don't look like a jackass when people come over)
