Quote from: Keith Courage on 02/25/2015, 07:18 PMI'll post some pics when I get home from work later tonight. the color matches up perfect on most duo but some not quite so much do to the body color darkening over time.

So systems that still have good color will match up nicely.

I did notice that that back end of the cover that is nearest the center of the duo touches a little more than the originals when openeing and closing but it's really not that big of a deal.
The color match is something that I knew that would never be perfect simply because of the age of these systems.  I did try and get it as close as I could though.  Take a pick of the area you feel like it too close.  I can use that info to modify the model for the next batch.

Quote from: rcantor77 on 02/25/2015, 04:19 PMOh man, I coudl really do with one for my loose Duo but I fear the postage cos to the Uk will be far too much to make it worth doing.  :x
I can send it first class rather than priority mail and it would be much, much cheaper; it would just take longer to get there.  I'll get a price quote and send you a PM.

Quote from: Keith Courage on 02/25/2015, 03:45 PMJust received two in the mail. They look great. Not quite as nice as the originals but definitely a pretty close match. I'm am pleased.
Lets see some pics!  I want feedback on fits and finish so I can make them better!

Jesus fucking christ... I can't believe some sucker actually fucking paid $1560 for this lot.  These instant collectards are fucking driving up prices on anything and everything. When will the madness stop?

I'm going to put a dog turd on ebay and list it as RARE and MINT just to see if it'll break 4-figures too...
What a chump.

Quote from: esteban on 02/22/2015, 05:08 PMUPDATE FROM AARON:

Each case will be approximately $90+$3 shipping.

Order 5 or more, $89.50+shipping.
Oh yeah, I forgot the cases are 24K gold plated.  BONUS!
No platinum option?

On another note:  I know that some people have made switch their TE over to a rechargeable pack.  I can make a custom battery door that will hold the battery rather than having to just shove it in and have is rattling around.

Quote from: cjameslv on 02/23/2015, 09:39 AMAhh very nice, the dye also seems to be very uniform too. You did an awesome job getting these doors made.
Thanks!  Now buy one!

Quote from: poponon on 02/23/2015, 12:12 AMman I really want this but I've been spending too much lately. I hope you keep making them in the future
I can make them at any time.

Quote from: cjameslv on 02/23/2015, 01:28 AMOK my monitor must be out of whack cause this and the duo doors all look bright silver but i am hoping that is supposed to be black right?
Not really black but more of a charcoal color (like the DUO and the TurboExpress).
#214
Wut? Two products in the same night? I now have replacement battery doors for the Turboexpress/PC Engine GT ready to ship!  They are duplicates of the stock door and fit exactly like it should. They are color matched as close as I could get it so they should look OK. They are $24.75 plus shipping ($5.25 in the US, more in other places).  I have five ready to go and can make as many as people will pay me for.

Also, I will do special requests.  If you want a unique message on the lid, the zig-zag omitted, or something else just let me know.  As long as it's not something crazy it will only be a few bucks more but there will be about a three week lead time to get it printed.

Quote from: Keith Courage on 02/22/2015, 07:33 PMThis is great. Now we need someone to upload the dimensions of some DUO hu card covers :)

Please?

Could I have taken any longer to get this done? Man, I need to pick up the pace. Anyway I finally got off my ass and finished up the first batch of DUO card doors.  They are about as close fit and finish as I could possible hope and they should look better than the missing one that is currently on your DUO.  I have FIVE, count 'em, FIVE finished ones and five more that are being dyed as we speak? I can make as many as people want and if this first batch sells well I will stock them for the foreseeable future. How much are they? Welllllll, they are $19.75 plus shipping.  How much is shipping? Welllll, it is $5.25 in the US and who know elsewhere. Pics or it did not happen:

And if that isn't collectarded enough, here's proof
Somewhere, Nulltard's cardboard alert just went off.
Indeed... it can be seen from space!

Victory Run and The Legendary Axe have significantly different boxes than the rest of the orange label titles.

Me! Me!

I got my Turbo, Turboexpress, Turbobooster Plus and many games from a now closed department chain call Brendel's.  They were a big NEC electronics retailer back in the '80s and '90s. My CD-Rom came from J&R Music World.
#226
I have a few black ones left and now I have a few white (undyed) ones available.
#227
Got my box today!  Great job!

It wasn't me, but I did request a cover, twice, via PM when they became available.

No problem, of course, I figured you were busy. :)

But, I still want one, if one is available. :)
I have replied to you at least once.  I figured that you must hate me with the way you are toying with my feelings.  Check your PMs again.

Scan the French CD-Rom system manual.

Wow, I have never seen a French CD-Rom box before.
#232
I'm going to work on some SuperGrafx style everdrive covers. I'll send PMs to those that have shown interest.
#233
I took a look at all the orange label boxes that I have (I'm missing 5 of them) and I noticed that only Victory Run and The Legendary Axe are a totally different style on the rear.  I wonder if those two games are the actual first launch games.
#234
Quote from: DragonmasterDan on 01/16/2015, 11:20 AMThis is the case basically everywhere. The Duo, the US CD add-on and Express in particular were not big sellers in terms of volume and weren't commonly found used and cheap in the wild in the first place. The best way to get them cheap was to find dead units some years ago and have them repaired or use the repair information found on this forum to fix them yourself.

At this point everyone is aware of how to fix them and lots of people who seemingly had no interest in the platform for the 20+ years systems and games were on the market suddenly became interested because resellers are making quite a profit flipping stuff. It's an unfortunate state of affairs but if you're looking for the US hardware besides the standard TurboGrafx 16 system you're probably going to have to go to the internet and pay internet prices for it.
I got lucky and found a local "retro game tech" that had no idea what he was doing with turbos and blew out all of his "broken" stuff dirt cheap.

Quote from: Gentlegamer on 01/11/2015, 01:56 AMWhen I get a Turbo Everdrive, I'd want an undyed white cover to match my Duo-R.
No worries, I have another batch on the way just for the people that want white ones.
#238
One thing that I have noticed is that the earlier orange label games have a slightly different box than the later orange label games.  With that knowledge someone with all the orange label boxes could at least narrow it down a bit.
#239
One more day on this and I'll do the drawing!
#240
I'm having another batch of ED covers made so those of you that want white (undyed) ones I will have them in about two weeks.
#241
Quote from: csgx1 on 01/10/2015, 07:15 PMNice. Any idea if the cover will work in the Super Grafx?
From the looks of it, probably not.  It looks like the latch for the hu card is on the opposite side.  I can make a different version that will fit the Super Grafx though.  It's easy to do that.
#242
Quote from: CGQuarterly on 01/09/2015, 11:54 PMHey Jelloslug, any chance of getting one of these that hasn't been dyed?  I think the bare white would go better with my Duo-R.
When I order my next batch I can leave some of the undyed.
#243
Quote from: Duo_R on 01/10/2015, 11:37 AMNice, so snap in stays on pretty good?
Yep, it snaps on and stays on nicely.
#244
Quote from: aurbina on 01/08/2015, 11:58 AMDoes it have space for the usb port?
No, but if you can give me the details of the location I can make a version that does.
#246
Quote from: Duo_R on 01/07/2015, 07:06 PMExactly, we need some more cool stuff to burn money on! How about printing a Shuttle Controller? Someday it might happen! ;-)
Any part that someone can send me I can model.
#247
Just in stock: I have a few white (undyed) covers in stock now for those that want to match to their PC Engine.

It's about freaking time: I have the first batch of printed Turbo Everdrive covers available!  I have 10 of these bad boys done and I can make as many things as needed.  They are $18 shipped in the US and a bit more outside of the US. You will get a cover and a reset button.  The cover snaps on the Everdrive; it does not need to be glued but you can if you want.

Quote from: jelloslug on 12/30/2014, 09:41 AMNow is your chance to get rid of all of those copies of Keith Courage and TV Sports Football!  I need to replenish my stock of cheap, loose games so if you have some extra cheap games, let me know!
What is your intent with my childs?
I rehabilitate broken turbos and when I place them in a new loving home I would like the new turbo parents to have something to play.
STOPZZRRS!!! For gods sake man have mercy, do not let there first obey experience be tv sports football! Keith courage is ok but shit have a heart
That's why I always include three games.  One "good" one, one "meh" one, and TV Sports Football.
