Quote from: SuperDeadite on 04/07/2014, 07:38 PMNot quite finished yet, but for now:Those SSD's are awesome. I have one at work, the boot times rock for sure.
Zalman Z3 Plus
Corsair HX650 (Gold)
Asus H87-Pro
Core i3 4340
8gb DDR3 1600
MSI GTX 770 Lightning
32gb SSD (for booting/windows only)
1TB HDD for other installs.
LG Super Multi DVD drive
Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit
Still needs a floppy drive, capture card, and a 2TB HDD just for video recording and editing but those will wait until next month. Currently very happy with this rig, it runs anything beautifully, and thanks to the Asus mobo plus tiny SSD cold start to desktop is under 5 seconds.
Quote from: SuperDeadite on 04/07/2014, 09:58 AMMy 8 year old lappy finally died, decided to build a machine. Originally wasnt really going to build a gaming PC, but I simply couldnt say no to the super discount I got on this beast.so what are the full specs of your new rig?
Quote from: NightWolve on 04/06/2014, 02:49 AMNot really a tattoo fan (unless you're talking the little dwarf guy from the Fantasy Island TV series), but I thought this one was really good because of the technique to simulate 3D.I wonder if it's a real ink or a photoshop.

Quote from: SamIAm on 04/01/2014, 12:18 PMYes, it's for everything. It's going to go up to 10% in October 2015, too.Yay for games?
I'll have to resist going off on a full tangent, but the government needs it. Japan's debt level is the worst in the world, at over 200% of the country's GDP and over 20x its yearly tax revenue, plus the government has spent more than twice what it's brought in for several years in a row. Everybody knows that a currency crisis is coming, it's just a question of when.
The good news is, if the yen tanks, the cost of imports will plummet for US gamers.
And so, back to games.
Quote from: SamIAm on 04/01/2014, 11:17 AMSales tax increased from 5% to 8% on April 1st.OUCH! is that for everything? food, clothing etc? Sucks to live in JP , damn.
However, it's technically a "consumption tax" and only applies to goods being consumed in Japan.
So anyone purchasing Japanese goods outside of Japan is supposed to be unaffected.
Quote from: blueraven on 03/30/2014, 10:31 PMHave you been playing Xanadu? Kudos like 3 months late to Necro! +5 turbokarma points.I have, mainly the action parts for now, and studying the pixel art. This game is SOOOOOOOOOO PRETTY, and the action scenes are solid.

Okay... that one's not so much cry-worthy as it is cringe-worthy.
Quote from: thesteve on 03/27/2014, 10:53 PMAnd the lack of energy will be masked and exploited by the powers that beYou can look at the history of Argentina and Venezuela, up to current day Venezuela; to get an idea as to how some things will go down, economically at least.

Quote from: guest on 03/24/2014, 11:47 PMDon't get me wrong; I love the Dragonlance world. However, I think they weaved a WAY better story with Death Cycle. Where as Dragonlace was straight up Tolkien like lore and quest. Which I may add, that's where The Wheel of Time seems to go at first, until it literally bitch slaps you into amazement. Battle scenes in those series are amazing!Quote from: Nando on 03/24/2014, 05:10 PMMighty compelling. Their Dragonlance stuff was what got me into reading the Fantasy genre back in middle school. I won one of their books at a bingo tournament held at my local library.Quote from: JoshTurboTrollX-16 on 03/24/2014, 05:07 PMThe Death Gate Cycle series by Tracy Hickman and Margaret Weis.+1 Dare I say this, I like them better than the DragonLance books.
