I'd like to pick up a six button controller one day. SF2 just feels wrong on the standard controller.

Quote from: turbokon on 08/13/2014, 07:35 PMNo, audio and video are seperate circuits therefore different sets of caps.  Replace them all.
Ok. Was waiting for a confirmation from one of the real modders (unlike me).
#203
Probably should. It's just I'm pretty sure I have a spare 4.7 uf cap that will fix the video. Wouldn't have to order any extra if that one could possibly fix it.

I know there are a couple threads about TE repair stickied, but I couldn't find an answer. Got a TE yesterday and just got a fresh set of batteries. Turns on but screen is black and no sound. Could one cap be effecting the unit from working? Meaning if I change the cap in the video circuit, could both picture and sound work? I know there could be a lot of variables but just wondering if anyone can answer from experience.

Might be a while before I can work on it, so also wondering if I should just go ahead and change out all the caps while I have it open.

I entered the Ukraine tracking number they gave me into USPS and my Everdrive is at least in the US. Took four days to make it from shipment to clearing customs in Ukraine. Was hung up in New York for a couple days as well. Mine should be here soon and your order not far behind.

I read it in Retro Magazine. They talked about a bunch of retro consoles and gave their own top ten games for each system. Was a special edition and not their regular issue.
#207
Psshhh. What do the Japanese know about fighting. Or fighting games. Or what Americans want.
#208
I'm looking around the house for 6 AA batteries that have enough juice to power my newly acquired Turbo Express. :)

Quote from: guest on 08/12/2014, 08:44 PMDiscovering that SMS had Mortal Kombat 3 released on it and the poor turbob didn't even get MK1.
I read today that the exclusive rights to MK were offered to TTI (or whoever owned it at the time). Guess we know how that went...

My Gate of Thunder finally arrived. Pretty sure it was delivered on the back of the world's slowest snail. Oh well, it's here.

Nintendo didn't allow third party companies to develop games for other systems. They would have stopped doing business with Taito if they did a port.
#212
I've never played the DS version, so I can't say.
#213
Yeah, I've never really heard anyone say they don't like Mario 64 either. I never played it as a kid and only really started playing it a few years ago. I believe it's a good game, but some of the graphics have NOT aged well. I think it's the worst graphical representation of Mario. And when that's the main character of your game, that's a bad thing.
#214
You guys should stop talking about the TE. You're making me want to get one...
#215
There's no music in the video, yet I still have that catchy (annoying) song stuck in my head. Thanks! Guess I've played way too much Bubble Bobble.
#216
Dang. Do you live next door to the guy? That was quick shipping. Or did you get it in advance of the orders?
#217
I feel like the Everdrive will somehow teleport into my mailbox and never actually enter the postal system. That weird number is like the number you get at the DMV. Just waiting on that number to start the teleportation.
#218
I ordered a bit before you guys. Got a tracking number but it's not in any format I'm familiar with. I keep checking back to see if it has updated to a USPS number but it hasn't.

Blazing Lasers. Just as good as advertised.

Jack was my favorite. Was totally convincing playing a 10 year old in a 40 year old body. Was also great when he was a senior in high school...and in his life.

Awful news. Still hope it's not true.

Edit: coroner report above. Guess that's it. :(
#222
Eager to play this one when my Everdrive gets here.
#223
You can paint it with black vinyl dye. It bonds to the plastic.
#224
Not certain, but I imagine you run the hair dryer over the card for a while to possibly reflow the solder. Wait till someone important confirms that though.
#225
I continue to be amazed at what can be produced with a 3D printer. Sometimes I feel like we're in the future. Where's my hover board?
#226
I ended up using these for my mod. http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=16637366 Put a little solder on the pins and slipped these over them. Heated up solder and had a solid connection. Not the most professional way, but my soldering skills had diminished since the last time I soldered. Had to make it work somehow. :)
#227
Just put a little solder on the pins before hand and connect the wires to that. You could even have the wires pre-tinned as well.
#228
^ Very cool that you make HuCards. Are they original games or ports?

Quote from: Redfield1 on 08/10/2014, 05:27 AMIs it normal that i still didn't get my invoice ?
He said all invoices for this round have been sent out. You'll have to wait for the second batch.

And thanks for letting me know, Arkhan. Now I can stop frantically checking my inbox for an invoice. Not that I was doing that or anything...
Thanks for the answer.

And sorry for the disturbance.
It's all good. All of us are eager to get a copy, even Nulltard. He just has his own special way of showing it.

Have you sent out all the invoices for the first round of orders?
#232
Had a meeting at work and placed my order two hours after orders were being taken. :( Guess I'll have to wait until the second run.
#233
In the end, they didn't really make this for us - they made it for kids today. These kids will hate the next generation of turtle movies that come out when they're older.
#234
Please put me in the raffle. Have a few sleeveless cards.
#235
I have a pretty big N64 collection but have been thinking about selling off most of it and just keeping a few that are actually good. Picked up around 130 boxed N64 games about a year ago. Got them from a guy who used to own a video store and I couldn't pass up his price. Most of the games aren't very good and have not aged well. There are a few good ones but man are there some bad ones too.
#236
I know the week is over but I finally got a chance to really spend some time with this game today. Got to level 5 and a score of 1,188,080 before I died. Used the remaining continues to get to the boss of level 6 twice but couldn't beat him. Have never made it this far. The TG has my shooter chops up lately.
#237
Are you having problems with the HuCard pins or the circuit board pins no staying connected?
#238
I wasn't in the Group Buy but I'd be down for getting a cover if a bunch of people went in on it together.

The Wiz
#240
Did anyone see it? Heard it wasn't terrible but wasn't good either.
#241
***Spoiler alert***

I love how Bowser is a skeleton after you beat the game the first time.

I love the random brass band at the end of the song. Had to be an out take that they decided to keep.

Both.

So, uhmmm...yeah. Anybody ever find a TG game in an abandoned mine, phone booth, or truck stop bathroom?
#245
I don't do garage sales much around here as it's mostly baby clothes. When I do go to sales, I always ask for games and specific systems whether they have any on display or not. Never really ask for TG, but maybe I should. Just figure people in my area aren't cool enough to have it. I'm not cool enough to have it either. Maybe one day...

This. Is it glued on or pressure fitted?

You said you weren't trolling. Thought it was your ad for some reason and you were defending yourself. My bad.

And Null, let's change the song to Whistling in the Dark, mmkay?

Quote from: johnnymad on 08/07/2014, 09:00 PMAre these for sale yet or is this just a test run?
Which part?  All of them are close to being finished.  I will probably do one more test run of each part to finalize the design.  The biggest hurtle is going to be matching the gray color on the DUO door and the Turboexpress door.
I'd be up for the Everdrive cover at least and maybe the DUO door and TE battery cover.
