also - don't let collecting be your guide. Hunt down stuff you want to play and play it. Don't worry about the rest. Fun games are fun.

That's the plan for this system. Sometimes I spend more time hunting for NES games than I actually spend playing them and some of the games downright suck. Don't want that to be the case for the Turbo. Once my Everdrive comes in, I plan on playing them all and doing some kind of simple review. Will probably review them on DoxPhile since there's already a thread for each game.

I skated a lot when I was a teenager. Was more into riding down large hills than street skating. Never really got the whole ollie thing down either so I was pretty limited.

Stopped skating completely when I got a concussion. Was going down a hill and didn't see that there was a chain laying on the ground after the curb. Made it to bottom of the hill and next thing I remember, my face was in the center of the street. Probably flew about 5 or six feet. Most air I've ever gotten in my life. Haha.

To be perfectly honest with you, I haven't found any turbo stuff in the wild not since the 90s. Retro Gaming Stores sure, but then again you will be paying out of the arse 90% of the time with them and at that point you might as well go to ebay. I will say the stuff I did find at my local pawn shop will make some of you laugh and cry at the same time. Lots and lots of cases with mismatched games, a turbo tap, 5 new turbo sticks, and the legendary tg-16 to duo converter. I can't recall what I paid for all of that, but the turbo sticks were like $10 a piece.

I'll give you $11 for one of them turbo sticks. I'm sure you've kept all of them, right? ;)

I'm constantly stopping at thrift stores and flea markets looking for video games. Been checking stores for about 8 years but really only started focusing on games the past 3 or so. Have found games for many systems and the consoles themselves but never anything TG related. Any of you guys find anything good out there?

This one is a game I really want to love, but I don't. Nothing wrong with the game though. . Its got good music and amazing g graphics for its time. The power up system is flexible if a bit confusing at times, and there's hidden difficulty modes for added challenge. But I find the stages a bit too long for my tastes and lose interest long before the end. Even if its not my cup of tea, its one of the essential Tg shooter.

It's your avatar though. Aren't you supposed to love the game in your avatar?

Not to hijack your thread, slinky, and spam DoxPhile propaganda.... but over there each game has its own dedicated board (which is displayed on the game's info page in the game directory).   also on each game page is a link to view each and every scanned magazine page on which a game is mentioned.

These are features which currently exist. Planned for the future on each game page (ETA: 12th of never) are user ratings (graphics, sound, etc... and will be sortable fields in the master game list), user collection management, and wtb/wts marketplace.

Incomplete how?  GoT came on a 3 in 1 disc in a white CD case with 3 manuals (no box or case art). If you're after a <$65 CD shooter game, you may want to explore the PCengine library.

Just bought the Everdrive so I'll be good on HuCard games for a while (once it arrives from Germany). I have $65 in my paypal account that I'd like to spend on one or more Turbografx CD game(s).  Only CD game I have at the moment is Sherlock Holmes. I've been thinking about picking up Gate of Thunder but the only one online that I can afford at the moment is incomplete. Any recommendations besides GoT?

Everdrives have been ordered! I'll be tracking it once i can do that. Retrogate estimates around 15-20 days to ship to the U.S. But it obviously could be longer. Sorry for the delay on purchasing them all but it is done! I'll keep everyone posted when i receive them and that sort of thing.

Also Rosser, i need your address. So please PM that to me when and if you see this. If not I'll just bug ya a little later, i just like having everything organized and ready for when the time comes to get these shipped off.

Whoops. I thought the OP was talking about a DUO which has the DIN connector ( or whatever it's called) that ends with RCA. Thought he meant the DUO was modded to have female RCA jacks. My bad.

Very good to remember to attach that 7805 regulator back to the shield.  I forgot once and dang that regulator gets HOT, very quickly.  Burned my hand on it.  I'm smart.

Yeah. I didn't have it attached when I was I was confirming that the region mod worked. Started noticing the heat coming from it and turned it off in a hurry.
