@GTV reviews the Cosmic Fantasy 1-2 Switch collection by Edia, provides examples of the poor English editing/localization work. It's much worse for CF1. Rated "D" for disappointment, finding that TurboGrafx CF2 is better & while CF1's the real draw, Edia screwed it up...

Quote from: nat on 12/14/2010, 09:01 PMI'm just the opposite... KC's underworld music is the shit. I remember when I first got the system, playing the game for the first time as soon as that underworld hit I was like "Holy shit the 16-bit era is gonna be epic."
.
yeah dude the bass is like ... bnnbnbnbnbnbnbnbbnbnbnbnbnbnbnbnbnbnbnnb

it kicks ass.   All the underworld tunes are sweet.

Keith Courage is sweet in general.

I think its the best pack-in game ever.  Fuck all the haters.
Really? It an ok game but compared to Super Mario World or Sonic the Hedgehog it mediocre. Shit even Altered Beast is better. Though the music is Pretty kick ass

Nope.  Frappr was bought out by Platial and merged with their similar service, which has since been shuttered.
So is anyone going to put the list up somewhere else

Quote from: SignOfZeta on 12/18/2010, 09:50 PMI'm interested in seeing if this thing with people collecting only US games (currently TG-16 and Neo Geo, but it might be spreading) will burn out completely or if its here to stay. I find that very strange. It would be one thing if games for these systems were actually made in the US, but they shit's all Japanese by nature. The US versions are tainted, artistically, IMO, in the case of TG-16. As someone who actively imported in the 90s I eventually stopped buying US games completely because the selection sucked. In the case of the Neo they are irrelevant since there is no such thing as a localization of a Neo Geo game (usually). All regions are programed into the original game.
If this group does stay around the price of the US version could stay high for a while =(. I just recently started collecting TurboGrafx games and i guess you could say im part of this crowd. But the reason ive only collected US games is because thats all ive been introduced to here in the US. But I think im going to have to make my first import with cotton.

Its a damn shame people will pay $1000+ for the game, because it looks like a great shoot'em up. I love all the vibrant colors in it.

Quote from: nat on 01/08/2010, 10:49 PMIt's only been within the past year that the game skyrocketed to the ridiculous price it now fetches. Certain people (they know who they are) can be thanked for playing a part in that.

In 2008 I bought a US copy of the game, with manual, for $165.
Who are those people?

I just recently picked mine up about six months ago. I'm a bit younger than most people here as I grew up with the 64. I learned about the system through spida1a and Happy console gamer, I instantly fell in love with the system. It just has a charm that makes it so fun to collect and play for.

I have just started to collect for the turbografx and the few games I've bought have been from ebay. They have been a little bit on the expensive side. I've seen a lot of other users bash ebay and I was wondering where u guy got your games.

I just got my first turbo Grafx and my only games are Keith Courage, Dungeon Explorer, Blazing Lazers, and Legendary axe. I was wondering what some good starter games were.
