Localization Legend "Supper the Subtitler" has "joined the club" in being targeted for CD-pressings by bootleg master Tobias/PCEWorks! His projects like Private Eyedol, Galaxy Fräulein Yuna 1 & 2, etc. are now being sold on Chinese factory-pressed CDROMs...

A bit on the small side,  I'll keep my eyes open, sometimes ebayers will post really high-res photos of covers.   Thanks though!

Got Wonder Momo cleaned up.  https://i.imgur.com/ebNh3t2.png    Looks a little over sharp on screen but should look perfect when printed.

If anyone has a scan of Valkyrie no Densetsu's cover (or even a really clear, high-res photo) that'd be amazing.

So took a break from the jewel case inserts (read: got distracted).   Wanted to stick my loose Ordyne card into a case so I threw together a Namco HuCard cover template.

Some examples using this template;

You can download the Gimp XCF template, including with the font here;

Quote from: esteban on 10/02/2015, 08:23 PMSomeone needs to scan/take better pictures, but here are old photos that illustrate the UPC's on the back of HuCARD cases...I should have taken a pic of all the spines....you can see the different publisher logos/brand aesthetics and color palettes...
These are great, I've found eBay really useful for the barcode stickers as well.    Found some clear shots of Taito and Masaya spines, going to add those next.    Once I've got a couple more of the profilic companies done I'm going to extend the hinge-side end to replicate the fold-over sticker, and probably the barcode stickers as well.   That way people can print inserts that replicate the look and feel of the early HuCard releases (before they had insert artwork).

More insert repros, nice!  Are you this guy's long lost twin brother?  :mrgreen:
If I am, my parents have some explaining to do  :-k

Quote from: IvanBeavkov on 10/02/2015, 12:05 PMNice work there sostrich. Would you mind if I added some of those spines to my template? So people can have even more options.
Thanks!  Once I have the full-res versions finished, I'll PM you.

Also, If anyone has additional photos of HuCard spine-label styles for other companies, don't hesitate to post them.

Hi All,

New to the forums, pretty new to PC Engines as well.   Recently cobbled together a PC Engine + Briefcase + Non-working TG16 CD system.  Can't wait to tear apart the CD Drive and rebuild it; the guides in your technical section are incredible!

Anyhow was bored and started making a custom cover for my loose System 2.1 card.  I know it's mostly useless, but I like having small cart/chip/card games in cases so they don't get misplaced.  When I started working on the cover I was having a hard time finding the many fonts used by NEC/Hudson on their cases, so I ended up re-drawing the CD-ROM System logo... was having fun, got on a roll, and ended up re-creating a whole pile of logotypes and spines.

This is a 50% preview, which hides some blemishes in the 300dpi version.  I still have come cleanup I'd like to do before publishing the XCF file.  If anyone has other variants they'd like to see added, let me know, if you can provide a clear photograph or a very clear description I can add it to the template.

PS. Here is the System Card 2.1 front cover; couldn't find any scans so just ended up re-drawing it from the art on the system card, and a blurry photo I found on eBay.   Could probably use some tweaks, but I'm mostly happy with how it turned out.
