   Hey everyone, so I went to the Socal Retro Gaming Expo last month and I went with some Turbografx games to trade. I went to Pat The Nes Punk's booth and he had a Turbograx CD traveling case with Docking Station for $150. I showed him what I had to trade and in the mix was the Bonk 3 repro I recently auctioned off. When it opened up my bag and pulled out my box of TurboGrafx stuff first thing on top was Bonk 3 Repro. Pat immediately saw it said "oh you have Bonk 3". I replied "No it's a reproduction I purchase but I recently got a original Bonk 3 so I'm just looking to trade it away". Pat looked at it and thought it was pretty cool he was really impressed that it said it was a reproduction. I thought he kind of played dumb about it since he had it in his hands and then on the podcast said they were in PSP sized cases. They are smaller and better. Anyways Pat was a nice guy I traded him a sealed Sonic Spike(Mint) Cadash in case with manual (Mint) and Adams Family in case (Mint) and $45 for the Case and Docking station in great condition. Still has the protective film on label and has both latch buttons.

  In my opinion these repos are worth every penny if it fits what your looking for. I have all HuCard games except Legend of Hero Tonma and Magical Chase so I purchased these from Turbokon. Plus with Sparky's end labels it just looked weird not having them in my collection. I'm 40 years old and I just like physical copies of things that I collect. In my opinion emulators ruin the fun of collecting. I enjoy the hunt and capture of games I've wanted. I'm never going to pay $4,000 for a game. So for the handful of games  I want that are outrageously priced these repos work great for me.

       Yep good game. I just ordered 1941 and Aldynes 2-n-1 repro card. Someone walked off with my original Aldynes and a couple Nintendo carts at a recent get together at my place. No more friends of friends in my game room. TRUST NO ONE!

One thing you need to take in to consideration is that Gamdude sale prices are for complete games  and also just HuCard games. I've been going to gamedude for over 20 years. Sometimes I find games complete with manual and HuCard case and some times just the HuCard. Prices are the same if complete or just a HuCard. So don't base your prices solely on Gamedude prices. For example look at Magical Chase at Gamedude it is $279.00 with box and instruction manual or without. If you can find a Magical Chase in any condition for $279.00 don't hesitate. I know I will never see a Magical Chase at Gamedude for that price. They know what it is worth. It won't ever make it to public sale. But sometimes they do make mistakes. For example 3 months ago I found 4 sealed Buster Bros at GameDude for $24 each located in the import section. I bought one, then I went back 2 weeks later and they were in the Turbografx games for $39.00. If your lucky you can get a game complete in box for loose prices. So go out and search local game stores in your area first before purchasing on ebay. In conclusion doing research definitely is the best option. Don't buy the first thing you see, unless you know what your buying. Good luck and good hunting.

           OLD TIMER                                                                                                                                                                 I was a super lucky kid in the summer of 89 at the young age of 13. My best friends mom worked in the marketing dept. (i don't know who for) in the computer/video game industry and somehow she acquired a Turbografx about a week before public sale. I remember going over to my buddies house to spend the night and play games and watch movies when his mom walked thru the door holding the Turbo. We had only seen a couple of articles about the Turbo in some videogame magazines. We completely lost our shit. Even though we only had Kieth Courage we didn't stop playing all weekend. It is one of my best gaming memories. I ended up getting my turbo for Xmas 4 months later. I played turbo for years.I never got the turbo cd attachment but I did pick up a turboexpress thru a trade with a buddy in high school in 94.  When I turned 20 I sold all my video games and systems thinking about the future and using the money toward moving out of my parents house. After a couple years of regreting selling my stuff I found a web site selling NIB TurboGrafx and NIB Turbo Express. I pretty sure it was in the year 2000. Turbografx were about $50 and the Express about $60. I purchased one of each, I should have bought all I could but I didn't ever think the Turbografx prices would climb so high. I picked up a Pc Engine Duo in 2010 because I wanted to play turbo cd games I had and start collecting Japanese hucard games. Last year I pulled the trigger on the Supergrafx, cool system. I only need 1941 to complete Supergrafx collection and Darius Alpha since it upgrades the graphics. But those games are very expinsive. Thanks for reading. Cheers!!!
