I ordered one (v2.4) yesterday. I have a doujindance modded Duo-R, so wish me luck.

Anyone have an idea of how long it usually takes to get the ED once it's ordered?

I just wanted to publicly say thanks for all of your responses but a BIG thanks goes out to mickris who not only have me an amazing deal on his Duo-R but, shipped it fast as hell, packed it really well and even threw in a couple extra PC Engine games so I could test the region switch!

Can't thank you enough my good man. This Duo-R has a new home where it will be played like crazy.

PS - Holy shit Rondo of Blood is incredible in this thing!

Gratefully,
Klytus!

Played some more Devil's Crush this weekend on my Turbo over RF.  blegh - but it's for the review!

I got the Duo-R in on Saturday, but Halloween prep got in the way and I didn't have time to set up the shooting room for the unboxing. So I'll be shooting that tonight along with some RGB capture of Devil's Crush. I can't wait to open that baby.

It's looking like the review will be posted tomorrow guys:)

I don't know if a poll is needed. Seems pretty unanimous so far lol. Good tip though for next time.

I wish I has Splatterhouse - that would the TRUE no-brainer!

I also have to consider that I won't actually get to post the video until Sunday or Monday, so people may be "done" with Halloween by then.

I've played all of them at some point and i think I actually beat Vigilante in the arcade way back in the day (took all my $$). I never did have a Turbografx - but I just got one earlier this year. I typically have to focus on games I'm reviewing, so I have not played through all of those games yet, but I did spend a lot of time playing Devil's Crush.

So far that's the top candidate!

Hey everybody! So in celebration of the PC Engine's birthday, and the fact that I should be getting a modded Duo-R in the mail (thanks mickcris!) tomorrow, I wanted to review one of the few Turbo games I have for my channel. It will be the FIRST Turbo game reviewed on my channel as well - and I want your help in picking which game to review!  My selection is small right now, but the choices are below:

Blazing Lazers
China Warrior
Devil's Crush
Keith Courage
Legendary Axe
Legendary Axe II
Vigilante

What say you pcenginefx?!

Wow that's incredibly generous of you! Very cool. No need to enter me, I just wanted to give a giant thumbs up to MNKyDeth

Hot damn that is a good deal! PM incoming.

I'd be mostly using RGB SCART to capture for my channel, so the S-video thing doesn't bother me too much. I don' think he mods systems with both anyway - at least not typically.

I really wanna buy one from someone on here, but the prices I've seen are about $50-100 more than one of his systems, even after shipping (granted, I've been on here for a couple days so). I'm thinking of just getting my US TG-16 modded for RGB and then grabbing a RGB-modded Duo-R for imports and CD games. Skipping the region mod altogether.

Just curious - does doujindance use the Obey chip?

Listening to Episode 1 now. I'm really digging it so far. I can most definitely relate to pretty much everything so far although I guess I'm just a few years younger, which made a difference back in those days! This timeframe was absolutely my most formative years in gaming.

Thanks for the welcome everybody! And Captain Power was a kickass show and toy line. I can't believe it didn't last longer - especially since EVERY kid back then knew about it.

Quote from: MasonSushi on 10/24/2015, 08:15 PMI got a doujindance RX system about 5 or so years ago. It works great. Not sure if his quality has dropped here recently.
His eBay feedback is also impeccable, so maybe I just found the most critical posts. Thanks for letting me know first hand!

Hello everybody,

My names Dave. I just joined the forums but I've been to pcenginefx many, many times over the years. I've always been jealous of Turbo owners and I was finally able to land a US TG16 earlier this year. I've wanted one since 1989! I'm really psyched to have one and I am of course looking to build up the library over the next few years.

I've been a gamer my entire life, and I just started a retro gaming YouTube channel earlier this year. It's been an incredible experience so far to say the least. I'm also trying to be pretty active in my local gaming community when I can. I recently was part of an awesome team of people who helped launch North NJ's first retro gaming con, A Video Game Con (AVGC), which was a huge success btw:)

I'm looking forward to chatting with you guys and possibly meeting some of you at local cons. Later!

Hi guys! I'm Dave, I am new here. I am looking to buy a region modded Duo-R or RX with an RGB mod as well. I've been wanting a Turbografx since 1989 and I finally grabbed one earlier this year. However, I have a youtube channel for retro gaming and I want to capture gameplay, which I can't do with my un-modded TG16. I want to keep the TG, but also want to be able to have one system to capture Turbo Chips, HuCards and CD games.

I am always checking out doujindance's ebay page, but I see on here that his mods might not be of the best quality. I'd like to work with someone reputable on here if possible.

Please let me know!  And if you happen to be in the upstate NY area I will be at the RetroGameCon next month at the AVGC booth for an in person transaction - just throwing that out there.

Thanks!
