@GTV reviews the Cosmic Fantasy 1-2 Switch collection by Edia, provides examples of the poor English editing/localization work. It's much worse for CF1. Rated "D" for disappointment, finding that TurboGrafx CF2 is better & while CF1's the real draw, Edia screwed it up...

Nice. I purchased one in disrepair recently as well as a capacitor kit.

I found the kit itself had many components which did not precisely match the original ratings, though they were the correct form factor for the most part.

I targeted the ones for video first as that was the most pronounced problem (audio was present, though feint). Still no video.

I ended up ordering some more equipment to continue the soldering work that I am still waiting on, but hopefully the rest of the repairs will go smoothly, the last capacitor I replaced did at least lead to improved audio volume.

It is very precise work though, not quite as small components as a current era smart phone insides, but it feels much more cramped since some of the components are so large in such a small volume.

Very cool. Is there a way to trigger reset over the USB debug port?

Or maybe documentation on what features it has for development?

Does anyone have any references for using the USB port on this for debugging and development purposes?

I looked around a bit on the forums but have not found too much so far. It would be nice if it could trigger the reset button and such via a protocol for automated testing.

This is interesting; and for the Duo it looks like.

Well done!

That said, why not use the PC-Engine Memory Base 128 or Koei SAVE KUN KH-1001 instead?

They can be used over the controller port, no internal modifications required.

I am guessing the author is already aware of the Ten no Koe as well. Though clearly a Backup Booster is not usable with a Duo, there are other options for those needing more save space as far as I can discern.

I may be missing something though!
