I find that Verbatim CD-Rs do not read very well in PCE cd systems. I use Sony CD-Rs as they are the best quality left on the mass market(Target carries them) that may help you.

I like my 3DO I have a FZ1 and an FZ10 I prefer my FZ10 as the laser is more reliable. But there are a few good games worth playing. Also most games are very cheap even CIB. I would stay away from Goldstars versions.
Let me know if you get end up getting the systems I would happy to give you game recommendations and talk about accessories.

This!  I received my AVS yesterday and fired my everdrive up and I am certain this is the way to go for you NES fans.  I have pretty much liquidated the majority of my game library and picked up everdrives for the Master System, Genesis, Turbo, NES and SNES.  I am feeling so liberated

Hello All,

I am wondering if anybody on the forum know anybody that repairs Panasonic 3DO's.

Here the situation I pickup a 3DO FZ-1 from a local retro store, it reads retail games fine but will not read any type of burns. I tried three different media types(Sony,Memorex,Verbatium) all burn between 2x-10x to no luck.
From my research it means the lazer is tired or worn out.

Please let me know if anybody does this kind of work for lazer replacement for these 3DO systems.

I would recommend Keith Courage here on the forums he did some of my caps and did a spectacular screen upgrade for me. As for the batteries I just went with good recharge able AAs and I get great battery life with the screen upgrade. Good luck with it.

I recently had my Turbo Express Modded with the 3.5 LCD.

I use the system all of the time this was a great upgrade for me.

If you are going to use the system regularly I would heavily recommend doing this upgrade it will make it 1000 times easier to look at.

I have a duo rx and I have used Memorex CD-R burned at 10x for a while no with no issues , I did try verbatim and it had read issues. I try to still get as many real games as possible ,but your right some of the ones I would love to have real are out of sight on price . I would also be interested in what the more senior members of the forum have to say on this subject as well.

Just want to thank everybody for there feedback I contacted Keith Courage and he is indeed still doing the 3.5 in upgrades. I will be shipping to him shortly to get this upgrade and I am looking forward to having a much better viewing experience with my Turbo Express .
