I've noticed on my Samsung LED Smart TV that composite looks great for my TurboDuo. Not as good as HD as we all know Turbo is lower resolution but pretty good for what it is. Most of my systems look pretty good on the Samsung TV except for my Genesis which looks like crap. So not sure if it is the system there but I will be trying another Genesis soon to see if I can get improved picture on that one. So, maybe a lot depends on the type of LCD/LED TV you have?

I must say MNKYdeth is a solid stand up guy!

Quote from: guest on 06/07/2016, 06:02 PMCan you play CDs? L-dis is decent and can be had on the cheap. I think I paid $12 shipped
Yes I can play CD's. I have a TurboDuo.

I need a new game to play. 😃 What do you think the best shooter is for under $50? I'm talking Ebay prices unless you are selling. 😉

Quote from: gynt on 06/01/2016, 05:19 PM$230, capped amd with box is cheaper than you will find on ebay, but that doesnt mean shit.
is it WORTH $230 to you?  thats the question.
the box is useless, so who cares?  paying a premium for a box is dumb.
be patient and you will find one cheaper, possibly with a few games.
Well I guess it depends if he wants the box. To a collector, the box is worth a premium. However, most people buying systems don't care about that. Box or no box, I think it is a good deal. Who knows how long you will have to wait to find another one for the same price or less? You might be waiting a long time...

Quote from: jbeedham on 06/01/2016, 04:18 PMWhat  do you think a Duo Tap is worth?
I wouldn't pay any more than $10-15, the price of a PCE tap.  Without flipping it over to read the label, can anyone even see a difference?
Are all the PCE tap's white? I need something black to match my TurboDuo.

Quote from: jbeedham on 06/01/2016, 04:57 PMBTW, I used to own a TurboExpress and a GameBoy back in the day when they were new. TurboExpress is simply awesome and blows the Gameboy out of the water any day of the week.
Hmmm I don't know about that. Game boy is pretty damn awesome.
In respect to games, there are some pretty damn awesome games on the Gameboy and that's why I owned one. However, as far as graphics and sound goes, TurboExpress is better in my opinion. Plus it was just insanely awesome at the time that you could play the same game on your TV with a TurboGrafx and also on the road with the TurboExpress.

Back in the day when the TurboExpress was still being sold in stores and I got one used I couldn't find the AC Adapter for it but it does take batteries. So since I couldn't find the official AC adapter I ended up buying a Universal AC Adapter from Radio Shack.

With a Universal AC Adapter, I could toggle the voltage and whatnot on there. This ended up working better for me as I could carry one AC adapter for both my TurboExpress and Gameboy. Only catch was they ran at different voltages so I always had to remember to change the voltages. I remember the Gameboy ran at lower voltage and there were a few close calls where I forget to change the voltage and I thought the Gameboy was done for sure but luckily it still worked and it was never permanently damaged.

I just checked and cheapest one on Ebay is $299 without any mention of being recapped. I don't now how much a recap is on one of these things but that's gotta be at least $50 worth of labor. If you want it. Get it. Seems like a good deal.

BTW, I used to own a TurboExpress and a GameBoy back in the day when they were new. TurboExpress is simply awesome and blows the Gameboy out of the water any day of the week. Also, the TV tuner was awesome when Analog stations still existed.

So as far as serial numbers go do we know if the Japenese CD systems were counted in that same serial number scheme?

Quote from: guest on 05/29/2016, 07:41 PMLol, he's trying to get $350 for a non-new AES Magician Lord. :P
What you see is the Japanese Plastic Case version of Magician Lord which is more valuable than the American version. FYI, last American version I sold for around $110.

I'm gonna start offering a cash bounty. What  do you think a Duo Tap is worth? I knew I should have bought one of these 15 years ago...  :-k

Bump for the price drop. It is now $68. Ok I know it is not much of a price drop but I plan to drop the price $1 per week until it sells. So in 68 weeks it will be free. ;)

Don't forget to factor in shipping on those auctions as I'm offering free shipping. Sorry if price seems high to some but it looks like I have the best price online right now for a sealed copy as far as I know. I couldn't bring myself to tearing the seal open so I decided to just sell it. Also, I have a job and quite frankly if I wanted to give this thing away I would have dropped it off at the Salvation Army.

You guys are funny. This is actually the best price that I know of for a sealed copy unless you win that one auction.

Selling a sealed copy of Alien Crush for $67. Free Shipping in the US. PM me for a quote if you live elsewhere.

Buy/Sell/Trade / WTB: Duo Tap

Looking for a Duo Tap. Let me know.
#18
I don't care if they are aftermarket or what. The connector is/was some sort of industry standard. The stereo video cable I was using  on my Duo went bad (but I saved it if you can repair it) so I stole the Mono cable from my Neo Geo CDZ  which uses the same connector. So I need a Stereo Video AV cable.

Password system rather than backup ram saves?
Passwords have probably turned out better in the long run. I couldn't imagine trying to crack open a HuCard to replace a battery. Also, if there weren't passwords how could people cheat?

Any more copies left?

Just looked at the screenshots. Is this game something like Final Fantasy or Dragon Warrior?

So I grabbed my TurboDuo out of the closet last night and was going through and testing all my games. I must say that Dungeon Explorer is awesome and holds up after 25+ years. I definitely have to find a Duo Tap so I can share some multiplayer goodness. One reason I really like this game is because it reminds me of Gauntlet.

I'm looking for a Stereo Audio Video Cable for my TurboDuo.
