Well, seen as it wasn't released in the western world and not owning the manual i was looking online to see if anyone had worked out who's who player wise and what their relative strengths and weaknesses (if any) were. And i found an unbelievably dedicated site on this one game.

Searched this site and it was mentioned a decade ago but i think its worth a repost.

Its a hell of a site. Not sure if they are still doing continental meetups though.

Any other fans? it feels about 65% of the way to being super tennis and plays pretty advanced for the time imho.

Two player simultaneously would have been choice. I take it rocky didn't arrive until the snes version?

cant see what nightwolve guy wrote so i'm gonna assume its a warm welcome/apology for getting it wrong and hurting my feelings. lets just wipe the slate and move on. I got me some lobbying to do!

Quote from: otterboxer on 08/27/2016, 08:00 AMThanks for the info. Not a random person fwiw as you alluded too twice. And i'm not lobbying i was curious in case someone had taken it upon themselves to do a translation for either game and i was missing it while searching.

Nazo no masquerade was being translated according to romhacking but was kind of abandoned as far as i can tell.

If anyone else has any thoughts that's cool. Just don't try too hard to read between the lines of my question it really is just that, a question.
You have 22 posts and have been a member here all of 2 weeks according to your profile.  Unless I'm missing something, you seem like a rando to me.  A thin-skinned one at that.
nah i just dont tolerate crap on any forum. be my ignore buddy?

hey, i know about romhacking.net (like most on here i expect) but are there any other sites specifically for pce translations? i've looked about but cant really find any.

Mainly wondering as i cant read japanese and really want to get into both Nazo no Masquerade and Benkei gaiden and as far as i can make out both are pretty much abandoned projects on romhacking.

pretty fresh to the scene but i was like hell yeah! when i devoured Bomberman 93 recently. Also Magical chase is of course awesome as well as the SF2 port and i cant stop playing Devil crash.

yes! i'm also a pocky and rocky fan so it gets my vote. It is pretty brutal at times. I wonder what it would play like with a joystick rather than a standard pad. Anyone played it with an ascii stick or equivalent?

in the uk it was almost non existent. I knew about the pcengine express before i knew about the pcengine. I remember seeing it in a magazine and being amazed at the thing and the price tag.

Up here in Cheshire was mega drive country. quite a few peeps had a super nintendo but sega had the edge sale wise imho

Just copied this from my Krikzz post:

Well a friend lent me their win laptop and i think i've worked it out.

3 of the cards now work after formatting in the verbatim program below, Sd formatter seemed to only format to fat16 which was strange and after trying various options within it i gave up. the Verbatim program has no options whatsoever so its format to fat32 or its nothing. And it worked! go figure.

In Linux i could format to fat32 via gparted or just in disks but for whatever reason it mmust produce a fractionally different fat32 outcome. Anyway hopefully this helps someone in the future. Dont give up on a card and throw a wobbly like me because regardless of size/brand/sdhc or whatever it might work if you put it through the verbatim program or sd formatter.

So on the end, same problem as in this thread:

http://krikzz.com/forum/index.php?topic=5484.0

Here's the link from that thread to a program called Smartdisk fat32tool:

http://www.verbatim.com/index/search.php?words=fat32+tool

thanks goombakid and thanks aloram and thanks kerr avon.

Just for posterity's sake and for anyone else (as its going back tomorrow) I've tried 5 different micro sd cards: 2gb no brand 4gb toshiba, a 4gb and 8gb samsung and a 32 transcend for good measure. A mixture of classes and sd/sdhc etc after 8 hours of trying different things im giving up.

Quote from: guest on 08/18/2016, 11:49 AMIn the future, buy direct from retrogate.

The first thing to try is replacing the bios/drivers on the card. Only download them from retrogate.
Those are the files i've tried and gamesconnection.co.uk is a registered dealer of krikzz's products.

soooo i got a 2.4 turbo everdrive in the post today (bubble-wrapped in a shredded cardboard box, not cool gamesconnection.co.uk!) it appears ok but after trying to set it up i'm getting an error screen (error 38) ive posted on krikzz's boards as well but thought someone here might have had the same prob?

ive got an unmodded coregrafx i have tried different mem cards formatted different ways and have downloaded multiple versions of the files needed and tried placing the os.pce file and the TEDB folder everywhere i can think of. No joy.

ugh, was really looking forward to it as well. Not important but related to the post the card itself is a tight fit and a bit of a bitch to remove that's normal though right? the pcb is somewhat on the thick side.

any help much appreciated.

You have been entered in the raffle. Good luck.

Also, R.I.F.
its dawning on me that this is indeed the case.

And what stops you from loading said homebrews to a SD card and loading them? I have several homebrews on my non-usb TED.
nothing i guess, its available for a reason though otherwise the guy wouldn't have implemented it. Have a good one.

Quote from: otterboxer on 08/12/2016, 02:47 PM...is it worth the little extra for a 2.4 with a micro usb port?
What it is for anyhow? I got the 2.3 b/c I'm a cheap bastard and can wait the extra loading seconds.

Historically, krikzz puts his everdrives on sale during Black Friday.

thank you both, yes an everdrive is on the cards probably after a couple of other bits but just while its mentioned is it worth the little extra for a 2.4 with a micro usb port? just thinking on a little and where and ehat i might be doing a year or two down the line with it.
#24
ok thanks both. The center negative/positive thing has me in knots though as i thought it was important with an imported console but ok thanks for the help. ta

new old coregrafx owner here for advice mainly and i suspect to make my self poorer (but happier obvs) Other "retro" (ugh sorry) consoles just don't do it for me. The punchy little form factor, and the interesting + weird catalogue of games drew me back into gaming.

I've already brought dirt into the proverbial house by posting a question before saying hello so forgive me.

also 7 red campsite.

:( First post and its a questions is that bad or good. anyway hi!

I'm a new old coregrafx owner and rather than plunge in and get a step down converter for the J power adapter i want a new generic replacement.

Having looked around i know what i need. 110-220 ac/dc center negative, 9v dc 1amp etc etc. But having just wasted money on ebay after being sent the wrong adapter (again) i thought id ask on here in case anyone knows of an alternative to ebay. definitely want a new adapter i know old megadrive ones are supposed to work but i don't have one lying around.

any help much appreciated.
