Yep! and from chrono trigger, Neon Genesis evangelion.     ^^

Origin comes from the holy bible ; one of the 3 Kings of the east. Caspar, Melchior and Balthasar.

duh, that sad, those Xak games looks really good. I just felt on an english translation patch for Xak III. I wonder if both 1 & 2  have been translated too. !?

QuoteInterestingly enough, although you stated that it's not Neutopia, the first boss (easily reachable within 20 minutes) spits fireballs with minor homing ability. However, it's a dragon, not a medusa or any other kind of recognizable female adversary.
That the dragon right ?

In my memory, the room was bigger, there was a red theme.. I think it was lava surrounding.. And the room was alot bigger.

QuoteBy the way, Melchoir00, you mentioned it wasn't Exile because Exile had side-scrolling scenes. Are you sure you just weren't confused with the overhead scenes in Exile for towns?
Only thing I remember is the fight against that boss since we both tried to kill it without sucess. I remember that the fireballs could move freely , overhead view as much as us. I think fireballs were also homing a little bit.

QuoteAre you sure it wasn't Ys and you just thought it was a card because he had the super system card in his system?
Mmm, do you mean that in order to play Tbgfx-16 cds you also need a special Ucard ? This could mean that Ys is the game, even if I didn't saw any disc manipulated.

Theres a medusa or something similar throwing fire balls in Ys ?

thx for the help so far,

It's strange, Crusader of Centy graphics look familiar to me. Visualy, the game was looking very good. But I really doubt that the game I played was on a sega system. At that time, I had a n64 and a snes system and one of my friend had a sega genesis system. So, I knew both nintendo and sega products. When I came in his house and saw the game console of that guy, I couldn't put a name on it at the fist sight. + i remember the little red sun logo.

So I am pretty sure it was a turbo grafx 16. Meaby it was not a ''rpg'' meaby it was a ''action/adventure'' game. Like zeldas, alundras and stuff. Any overhead action/adventure game with dungeons and boss throwing fire balls (not obligatory women-serpent, simple women, or serpent ? very hard to remember sry..). Player and boss hp bar was displayed.

QuoteThat "3D" term was really throwing me off.  Basically you mean an overhead game, but one that has absolutely no scrolling?
 sry I didn't knew the right term after all. We only played the game 15 - 20 mins and the only thing I remember was a overhead look with a boss girl serpent trowing fire balls.

The game system looked quite ''exotic'' to me so I doubt it was sega MS or Genesis since both sega and turbograf have are black.

I will try too :

Golvellius (SMS)
Golden Axe Warrior (SMS)
Crusader of Centy (Genesis

Thx alot NecroPhile,

Yes, well I mean 3d by being able to walk freely up, down, left right, etc. Like ff serie and zelda. Generaly the game texture is 2d sprites and the camera is fixed.

The medusa thumpin_termi showed looks quite familiar but the gameplay in the fight was not static, was not at first person like dragon warriors/quest. I remember that we had to dodge the fireballs and there was some obstacles in the room. Could someone give a list of every 3d adventure, action, rpgs on the TGx16 ? There are like 10 or less right? I tried many of them, also tried Exile since it has a desert theme. Unfortunately, this game is a 2d scroller when comes fights.

Thx alot guys,

I tried many SMS rpgs and I really  doubt this system was the one I played. Neutopia 2 ? Its meaby this one.. I played neutopia 1  and so far nothing looked familiar. My memory is quite unclear but does the tower nodtveidt talks is around a desert or something similar?. I remember that there was a kind of desertic theme in that place.. Does it take less then 20 mins to get on the top of the tower with the medusa?

I'll look for a working neutopia 2 for my psp. Everyone I tried so far crashed the emu. Thx again guys, I'm quite sure we solved this mystery..  [-o<

QuoteSo you're 90% sure it was a TG16, huh? Right now, I can't think of any 3D rpg for the TG16 other than Order of the Griffon and Double Dungeons. Maybe your memory is hazy, perhaps it was a SMS you were playing.
Yep, its a possibility, Its really hard to remember clearly, we played meaby.. 15 min.  SMS look unfamiliar to me but let's assume it was the good system. I'll do a research on this system too,

Its was not a first person RPG like dungeon master. And its was not a 2d scroller like mario. Yes I tried dungeon explorer but I am not quite sure about this one. The blue stats screen at bottom tells me nothing.. :-k The game I played was showing the player and enemy hp bar a lot like Ys series. I can remember that the game was stored in a card.

Thx alot guys

I am desesperatly searching a game that I once played on the Turbo grafx-16.

It was something like 12 years ago and I only played 1 time ! since the guy moved few days after..

The game was a 3d rpg - action game quite like zelda (not a scroller). The game visual graphics were much more realistic-mature looking than zelda or neutopia (something near castlevania). The only game sequence I can remember was playing in a dongeon room and fighting against a women-serpent boss who was throwing fire balls. I can't hardly remember if the boss hp bar was displayed but I think it was. At that time, I didn't knew anything about he's black game system. 90% certain that it was Turbo grafx 16. The game was stored on a card not a cd.

Thx alot for the investigation!  :P
