I think you should be ok.

Quote from: rainbow_bright on 07/16/2008, 06:45 PMLoad and reload are not bad albums, they just aren't what anyone wants from Metallica. They just seem to have lost the magic, a long time ago.. Can they get it back? Who knows..lets wait until the new album comes back. By the way, whats Jason Newsted up to thesedays? is he still in Voivod?all someone has to do is force feed james hetfield 2 bottles of jack daniels and everything will right its way.
Quote from: JoshTurboTrollX-16 on 07/16/2008, 06:22 PManyone even remotely interested in Metallica's new album this fall?my opinions exactly. the media promised the st anger travesty was supposed to be like old metallica. which is so was not. didnt even bother with that some kind of monster dvd either. my faith in metallica diminished after the black album. the black album was so-so but load and reload really sealed the deal on metallica losing their testicals.
I am curious, but thats about it.... after the travesty that was St. Anger its hard for me to believe that this band can actually create an album I could listen to.....
Good Metallica Albums?
Kill 'em all Thru Justice for All.
The Black Album was .... O K
After that......... SUCK
Quote from: SignOfZeta on 07/14/2008, 11:15 PMSuch a tricky question. Most new non-ironic "metal" is just fucking terrible. I do like (old) Maiden, Helloween, Stratovarius, etc but that Death NuMetal shit that is so popular now days is worse than the cock rock that killed metal in the first place.hahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahaha.
And Slipknot can suck it.
Quote from: Mithos on 07/13/2008, 05:51 AMGot my second batch. Thanks!2 seperate orders and both arrived to a happy buyer.
Quote from: ceti alpha on 07/14/2008, 05:50 PMI've always been more prone to industrial. The most "heavy metal" band I got into was Ministry. Though, I love Black Sabbath, Led Zepplin - i.e. 70s metal.ministry. excellent stuff. the very hard edge of industrial, almost metal.
Quote from: Mithos on 07/11/2008, 03:05 AMyep i handle business privately. pm me an offer.Quote from: cloudstrife on 07/10/2008, 10:29 PMHow much for ys book 1 & 2 w/ map regualr tg-cd version? You might get a better response if you shoot him a pm....

Quote from: PCEngineHell on 06/19/2008, 02:50 PMwell, i didnt use a plain bubble mailer. and i dont use them either for that simple fact. its like mailing in a plastic bag.Quote from: Dreamcaster on 06/18/2008, 08:27 PMQuote from: PCEngineHell on 06/18/2008, 05:24 PMIm doubtful every game you have shipped, has arrived safe and sound if mailed that way. What you prob had was alot of people cutting you slack for cracked jewel cases. No one here wants their stuff shipped in that manner. Seriously, scour the threads here for shipping complaints, and you will see that. Use better packing material. You can nab small boxes at Wal-Mart for under a buck that are perfect for shipping jewel case sized items, and they have room for bubble wrap or shredded paper material. Invest a little cash into better protecting what you ship, because you damn well know shipping nice expensive items in a flat mailer with two thin pieces of cardboard does not really cut it.and if you dont know what you are talking about then its best to not say anything.
Just because your not on ebay now doesn't mean you can just crap out on shipping good with no fear of negative comments being made. And now your on a forum where people will express their distaste in this kind of behavior when they see it happen or reported. Also, per your friends advice on this thread http://www.rfgeneration.com/forum/index.php?topic=7430.msg108582
maybe it would be best for you to go elsewhere. You obviously don't care for our opinion on it and clearly stated what you think of us.Quoteit seems pcenginefx members expect too much. (example: $25 for bomberman 93 for tg-16)The longer you stay here the more you are going to hear what peoples opinions on fair pricing and good shipping are.
did anyone say it was 2 thin pieces of cardboard?
NO THEY DIDNT.
the case was WRAPPED in cardboard. that means cardboard completely wrapped around the case and also overlapping. the tighter the package the best resistence to shock. like someone mentioned putting a small piece of bubble wrap in the center reduces shock because it thickens it. same thing with wrapping in cardboard.
just keep your comments to yourself dude. and he didnt say he was upset with the transaction. you simply took one statement and blew it way out of proportion. he even said it was all in very good condition.
your not going to buy from me. and i wouldnt even sell to you after all of this anyways. so what you have to say means jack squat. so you can quit your attacks and go bother someone else that cares.
you must be a tiger with the ladies. haha go play in the sandbox, big people talking.
"The longer you stay here the more you are going to hear what peoples opinions on fair pricing and good shipping are."
-your the only one making a fuss.Quote from: Lochlan on 06/17/2008, 06:12 PMThe game was wrapped in some thin cardboard and placed in a plain manilla envelope (no bubble wrap). I was shocked that it wasn't damaged in transport, but maybe Mike knows something I don't about the secret art of folding cardboard.Dreamcaster, read that quote well again. He was not congratulating you on your lackluster packing job. Incase you did not know this, and this applies to anyone, typically at postal hubs mail will come down conveyor belts to get sorted, and alot of time the people have to grab and toss it fast to keep things moving steadily, and lots of impact does occur as well as crushing from heavier items.I would recommend that people tell Mike explicitly that they want a cardboard box.
I got to see last nite at a guys house I used to deal with (who happens to run hub to hub routes for USPS) what kind a damage this type of sorting can do in extreme cases,as he showed us a Hyper 64 Sam Showdown cart that was damaged due to poor packing in a plain large bubble mailer envelope. The metal casing got all bent up and dented and he had to use pliers to bend it back into shape so the cart would fit on the Hyper 64 system.
This is simply not a good way to ship expensive items, esp if the person is paying for packing materials and shipping.
You can whine and bitch about me saying this all you want, but it doesn't change the fact thats a piss poor way to ship.
Quote from: Sinistron on 06/19/2008, 12:37 PMI'm not the president or anything- but as long as you're entertaining offers which it seems you're doing now that's fine by me. That was my only problem that you'd say "pm me an offer" while having fixed prices in mind. Don't think we're all out to gang up on you -- that really isn't how it works here- we appreciate new sellers but are wary of some of the new ones who run in just for the quick buck. I'll check your list again now but I don't know- I like all of my hucards loose and I have a good many of the games on your list. Either way good luck with the sale.yeah i remember the message on ebay. i cant remember other than that either. and WEEN DOES ROCK!!!!!!!!!!
PS- I checked through my ebay purchases and email and it seems that perhaps I didn't buy from you in the past after all- which confused me because I have a memory of pming you "ween does indeed rock"- I thought it was connected to a purchase- but now I can't recall the actual outer context.
Quote from: Paisa49 on 06/19/2008, 11:56 AMI got both the games I ordered from Dreamcaster very quickly, and they arrived in pristine condition. Purchase with confidence, and he is willing to bargain on his prices.see guys im legitimate and very easy to work with.

Quote from: PCEngineHell on 06/18/2008, 01:27 PMYou are missing the point. The way you shipped it may have been cost effective and cheap and lame, but if you are actually trying to fool yourself into thinking its a safe ship method,it isn't. It really isn't nothing but a slight step above a bubble mailer. The best way is to use bubble wrap or shredded paper and a actual small box. Anything else can simply be crushed by heavier parcels during shipping.i have always shipped like this and NEVER once has a game/cd/etc been damaged.
