I havn't seen it yet, is it worth the money and time to go see? Don't ruin(post) anything that's gonna happen in the movie, I just want to know your honest opinion, was it good or bad?

We shoulda got Altered Beast translated to English and sold for the TG-16. The game is a hard, but also a fun and addictive arcade game.

Quote from: Dark Fact on 07/07/2007, 02:21 PMIf he gets impeached now, Dick Cheney will run the office till 2008.  I hear that he's no better. :|
If any impeaching does go on, I don't think people will just remove Bush and leave the rest, the entire administration is just as guilty of treason as he is. That means Dick Cheney, Karl Rove, Condolezza Rice, John Roberts, Donald Rumsfeld, Colin Powell and the rest would have to leave from office if he does because they all are just as guilty for his shit.

How much better is Final Soldier over Super Star Soldier? I never tried Final Soldier but I do have Blazing Lasers and Super Star Soldier and I think their great games.

Today I've been very busy working. I did get to play a little bit of Quake earlier though.

Quote from: Kitsunexus on 06/27/2007, 08:00 PMArcades don't exist anymore. At least not the way they should.
Sad, isn't it. And I live in Missouri too, so arcades are super rediculously scarce here, and has been since the damn 80's. :|

Yea, I'd say the super dose of anchovies would teach any criminal as long as they don't live off of sardines everyday. :-&

Also, maybe we won't have to wait another year. Bush has the intelligence of a monkey, watch him fuck up even more enough to where people will just want to impeach him. He's already reached the point where he is worse than Johnson and Nixon combined and he might very well come down as the worse president in American history; He has been very resistant on the subject of leaving office for the better of the country which is something Nixon, unlike Bush, understood quite clearly. Anyway, he pardoned Scooter Libby which is undoubtly one of the biggest mistakes he's made on his job, he made a lot of people very angry because of it, watch him screw up some more enough to where even his own party (the republicans) will impeach him just so they will be able to get another republican in office sometime sooner than the next 2 decades without being a party of shame.

Blazing Lasers and Super Star Soldier have been excellent shoot'em ups in my opinion of what I have played so far.

arcade, action/adventure, survival horror, and pinball games are my favorite genres. you missed some on the poll list.

We hadn't had a real arcade in my area since the 80's, but of course we'll have maybe one machine inside or near grocery stores, bowling alleys, pizza hut's and etc. The last time I ever went to a real arcade was when I was no more than probably 4 years old so I have pretty much no memory of the games I played that night.

If that is so, then there are more sheeple (stupid people) in this country than I thought. You would think with this war and all the violence, people would be demanding more "news" and less "entertainment".

Sometimes, man sometimes I just don't know where this country is going to. It's only going to get worse if people are gonna keep being stupid. If people would take in consideration of actually overthrowing the goddamn government and liberate the constitution from the clutches of evil, then once and for all give the power to the people, things would be much better than we all know. Hell, we would be the land of the free once again.
#12
You're wrong, people want the media to cover things like the war more than entertainment; the media just refuses to report anything of that type because the neo-cons have control of the media. Only 29% of Americans are in favor of what the administration is doing, and the media is only trying to hide it.

Why are you all talking about Fight Club, Clockwork Orange is a better movie and more worth talking about. Besides, that's not the topic of this thread.

The reason I said grow more grass is because bare lawns usually get the worse ant infestations. And yes, mowing the grass also keeps the bug problem down.

Quote from: Kitsunexus on 06/20/2007, 08:40 PMYeah, it's all that "ratings" bullshit... it's one of the reasons I hate the media.
What pisses me off the most about the media is how they'll report on anything but the fascist administration that occupies the white house, the war, global warming, and everything else we should be hearing about rather than Britney Spears and her f***ed up life. The media will do anything to distract people from the things we really should be worrying about. They're also brainwashing the stupid people (I call them Sheeple) with these stupid reports by making them think they're supposed to worry about the border, Iran, arabs, and drugs.

They didn't kill him, good but it sure looked like they were trying to though. The workers there should face charges of attempting murder on him cause they could've killed him. Personally, I think it's OK when store clerks and resteraunt workers defend themselves when being robbed, but, the thief ain't gonna learn his lesson if he's dead. Punching, kicking, pounding, beating, shooting out the knee caps are all a common lesson of don't fuck with my shit, but stabbing kinda goes too far.

Quote from: Nodtveidt on 06/19/2007, 04:24 PMThe only thing that bothers me to this day is the vast amount of brainless FPS games. They're all the same basic game with "l33t0r gr4f1X m4|\|!!!!!!111111". BOOOOOOOORING. Keep your Quake 13, Medal Of Honor 84, Half-Life 132, I'll go play me some original DOOM goodness. :D
Exactly, the original DOOM kicks ass. I own the collector's edition. :P

True, Namco needs to understand they done beat the Mortal Kombat competition with Tekken and get over it already. And quite being wimps on how the game might raise the ratings on a Namco Museum collections compilation because Midway put Mortal Kombat 2 and 3, and also Smash T.V. and Total carnage, and Narc on their Arcade Treasures collections. Every damn Namco Museum games they come out with always have the same games on them:Pac-man, Ms. Pac-man, Galaga, Galaxian, Pole Position, Dig-Dug. How about a change for once.

If I see one come up, I'll pay as long as it's less than $300. And I don't think arcade game PCBs are that expensive but since Splatterhouse is a rare game, it's hard telling.

Something to do with a black person, perhaps...
To remind black people that they were cotton pickers before they were drug dealers.

Quote from: turbo D on 06/17/2007, 09:31 PMIf you want to have a splatter house arcade, I would suggest buying a cheap jamma cabinet and finding the jamma board of splatter house and plugging it in. All jamma cabs and jamma boards should be compatible. I am assuming that a jamma board of splatter house exists tho. Sorry if any of this information is incorrect.
Maybe not necessarily a Splatterhouse game, although I have thought on it off and on. I also like Joust, Haunted Castle, Ghosts'n Goblins, Ghouls'n Ghosts, Gauntlet, Smash T.V.. However though, Splatterhouse would be an excellent first arcade game to get.

Pokemon Mega Man, That's what I learned to call it. Pretty funny, the moment that stupid Pokemon crap big, Capcom tries to redesign Mega Man to compete against the Pokemon crap and right when The Mega Man NT warrior stuff was about to come out, Pokemon crashed and died. Thus also making Mega Man NT warrior crash and die, but Capcom still insists on making more stupid Mega Man NT warrior games! Shame on Capcom. [-X

I have that game on my NES too. Star Soldier. It's not only amazing how fast he pushes that damn button, it's how he can stand there and keep talking while playing like that. That's skill man.

I mean I don't want to use a computer to emulate the arcade. I want to build a cabinet with the screen, the joystick and buttons, the sound system and speakers, the power supply, the game program on big electronic board, and I don't know what else I may need because the only sites I can find only tell me how to do it the computer emulation way.

Quote from: Kitsunexus on 06/13/2007, 12:56 PMThey have some of those that run in the $200 - $400 range. They're not very good, they're just game-on-chip units wired up to a subpar arcade cabinet.

It's like, if you WANT a multi-arcade cabinet, go build a MAME cab or liberate a Nintendo Playchoice from some abandoned bowling alley.
It probably would cost equal to build a MAME cabinet and I did think about it a few times while back. I just don't know if I'm ready to put in hundreds of hours and dollars for something that I could rather just buy instead of building, then again, it would be better if I built it instead because then I have put in all the effort and my own imaginative customizations to it. Then I would truly have more a right to call it my own if I built it.
Plus if you build it, you'll have good emulation, not shit emulation.
New problem, I don't want to build an arcade game with a computer emulating it. Is it possible I could just build a arcade game machine using 100% authentic arcade parts? I've tried googling everywhere and only came across sites that tell you how to build arcade cabinets using shit like MAME.

It's the marquee off the Splatterhouse arcade cabinet.

I like the,Splatter House serise myself i just wish namco would stop 'being idots and put it in a collection all ready.
As long as they include the arcade version of Splatterhouse with the console ports and sequels, I already have the TG-16 Splatterhouse and the Genesis Splatterhouse 2 and 3, and it's been years since I played the arcade version which happens to be my favorite Splatterhouse game. Namco for some reason has been ignoring everything to do with Splatterhouse which is unusual because normally a game company would not do something to a project they made like that. It is a big put down to fans, yes, but I'll bet someone in the Namco business family is still proud of Splatterhouse and it's probably just the rest of the staff that thinks Tekken is the superior game.
Quote from: Tatsujin on 06/17/2007, 12:13 AMi'm a huge fan of SH as well, also own the arcade namco system-1 pcb, and looking now around for a marty version. most morbid 2D game ever.
Above all, it's the true first survival horror game. Not Nocturne, Resident Evil, or Silent Hill.

OK, one night at a country bar, a UFO appeared in the sky. it opened up, an alien came down in a beam of light. Soon the UFO left leaving the alien at the country bar parking lot. The alien pulled out a strange device, pushed a button, then the alien was disguised as a man. The alien went inside the country bar and sat at a table next to a big biker dude who was sitting there drinking his beer. The alien touched the big biker dude with his finger and when the alien touched the big biker dude, it buzzed him. The big biker dude looked at the alien and said "Keep your damn hands to yourself, pisshead!" then the big biker dude started back to drinking his beer. The alien touched him again (buzz), the big biker dude looked at the alien and said "You do that again, and I'll cut yer damn pecker off!!", the big biker dude went back to his beer again. The alien touched him again (buzz), then the big biker dude stood up and pulled out a switchblade, grabbed the alien and pulled it's pants down to find it has no organs down there. The big biker dude stood there freaked out and said "you don't have a penis, how the hell you supposed to have sex?", then the alien the touched the big biker dude! (buzz)!!!!!!!!!!!!

 WHOA! damn, sorry bout calling it jrock. it's kinda what it sounded like to me but in english.   They are british, I live in the states so the only british artists we ever hear on the radio here are only the top chart british groups like the beatles, black sabbath, yard-birds, led zeppelin, Donovan, def leppard, queen, iron maiden, and so forth. shit, im so embarrassed, anyway, they do sound decent though wish I could hear a little more of that song than the sample.

I was just thinking about a segaCD game I used to have called Sewer Shark. You probably never heard of it, anyway, the main idea of gameplay wasn't bad, it combined action shooting with random turns you had to remember (it was like a game of electronic Simon combined with an arcade shooter). But what made the game suck horribly was 1) the music, very catchy but above all annoying because it constantly repeats, 2) the dude that I guess is supposed to be my captain even though I'm flying the vehicle thing, during the entire time you play this game you have some idiot yelling at you and calling you names and shit while you're playing. That is the worse thing a game maker could ever put in a game, makes you feel like you want to open the cockpit door and throw the bastard out but you can't because it's a video game. Corpse Killer was the only real decent game on the segaCD.

Queensryche is great. I prefer Van Halen over Van Hagar, but I like Sammy hagar's solo albums over David Lee Roth's solo albums. And I like Black Sabbath with Ozzy or Ronnie equal, even though they don't sound the same.
