If Keranu says he got 1000 copies of Insanity, someone will die. Promise.

No, NOT a trick, a Halloween treat! Presenting the Dead of the Brain 1 English patch by David Shadoff for the DEAD last official PC Engine CD game published by NEC before exiting the console biz in 1999! I helped edit/betatest and it's also a game I actually finished in 2023, yaaay! Shubibiman also did a French localization. |

Quote from: Keranu on 06/16/2007, 03:12 PMComplete with extra empty bullets?Quote from: Equuskia on 06/16/2007, 07:21 AMnodt has, "It came from the desert". I though the extra blank bullets were hilarious. I mean, did they forget the games or didn't have anymore to list?Haha, yeah I've seen another game or two that did this as well and thought it was funny.
A Working Designs style instruction manuel like Equuskia mentioned would be cool ideed with showing our next two games on the back of the booklet with a small screenshot. However I think we ultimately have to stick with the "Have you tried..." since it's a classic!
Quote from: MrFulci on 06/15/2007, 07:46 PMhaha, nice to see the "have you tried..." is making it's way onto the manual.nodt has, "It came from the desert". I though the extra blank bullets were hilarious. I mean, did they forget the games or didn't have anymore to list?
Good way to announce the 'secret' project.
I flipepd through my manuals, to see if any other games had 2 reccomendations. It looks like the only other game with 2 reccomendations is World Court Tennis.
Another unique manual I noticed is, It Came From The Desert. It has extra bullets with the reccomendations!
Quote from: ParanoiaDragon on 06/14/2007, 01:36 AMNodt's gonna make you your shirt because I couldn't upload one of the images to the site I was using. But I have not forgotten!Quote from: Equuskia on 06/11/2007, 08:25 AMgive me the actual images and I'll make you a great shirtI sent you the pictures, where's me shirt
Quote from: OldRover on 06/11/2007, 08:28 PMI voted "No" because obviously, I don't have to actually purchase a copy...who would the money go to, anyways?me. DUH!
Quote from: guest on 06/11/2007, 01:30 AMI could do this, but usually the manuals and discs are done at the same time at the pressing house I'm going to. However, now that you mention it, I will ask if the manuals and tray insert can be done first. Thank you for the idea.Quote from: Keranu on 06/11/2007, 12:00 AMperhaps we could ship them the case + game first and instructions later when it finally arrives.I don't think that this would be necessary, as the manuals could be printed and signed long before the disc is pressed (saving double postage).
Quote from: OldRover on 06/06/2007, 02:22 PMAfter countless bouts of frustration with mappy, my wife convinced me (mainly to stop my incessant bitching and moaning) to write a new general editor for PCE mapping. And you wouldn't believe how well it stopped the bitching and moaning.
Quote from: MrFulci on 06/10/2007, 06:18 AMI will purchase one copy, unsigned. $30.00 sounds good for a game such as this.Mr. Fulci:
My suggestions would be:
- Please print actual CD's. Not every machine can read CD-R's. While it's nice to have a homebrew game on CD-R, not being able to play it sucks.
Quote- You can always print a, "Have you tried these other games" on the manual, and list Neutopia 3, and other games you are working on. hahaThat's pretty funny. I totally dig that idea!
Quote- Put together an actual site for information on this game. Create a section on Frozen Utopia with information on the game, screenshots, etc, etc, That way the game has a home presence, where others can go to read about it. Put that together, then others can pass around a link when sharing the news of this game with others.http://frozenutopia.com/projects.html
Quote- A newsletter would be nice. Setup a mailing list where folks can be updated to 2 important dates. Preorders, and the actual day of release.Once the deadline has passed, I will remind him of this too. I think it's time to do a "to do" list.
Quote from: turbo D on 06/10/2007, 06:56 AMor put points on the back of the manual like those super cds, haha.lol
Quote from: guest on 06/10/2007, 02:04 AMI feel misled now. I'm going to have to settle that one with him laterQuote from: Equuskia on 06/09/2007, 06:40 PMI came here because Nodt told me that people were mature and wouldn't ask me for pics and here you are asking me if I'm hot!Nod was sorely mistaken. Maturity is something of a bad word on this forum, and I'm going to ask for pictures..... of Mysterious Song, Neutopia III, screen shots from any secret projects F.U. is working on, and pics of Nod chained to his computer and working on M.S. (this one is probably the most important).
Another vote here for some promo gear - especially a poster. I guess that I'm geeky like Keranu, but not as hard core.
. No screenies from me.
Quote from: nat on 06/09/2007, 06:14 PMI came here because Nodt told me that people were mature and wouldn't ask me for pics and here you are asking me if I'm hot!Quote from: Equuskia on 06/09/2007, 02:53 PMHi, I'm Nodtveidt's financial advisor (and wifeHey, a girl! Are you hot?).
I'd buy at least one t-shirt and one hat should they be made available. Possibly more than one hat, I'm a hat guy.

If you are interested in buying the game, vote, and if you are interested in a signed copy, please state so. If you're not interested in buying, please state why. Note that the games will sell for $30 each, and will include a handsigned (by Nodtveidt) certificate of authenticity as well as being individually numbered. Autographed copies will obvious be much more expensive as the cd has to be sent to everyone to sign. If anyone has any other suggestions, I'm all ears! Thanks!
