Quote from: rainbow on 11/09/2010, 09:21 AMI wonder is there any chance you or anyone else who lives in Japan can pick me some stuff up?
They probably could but the shipping always kills the price.
I don't mind shipping, I have to pay it on ebay or whatever anyway.

Did anyone see the wrestler ? What did you guys think? I liked it a lot, really good performance by Mickey, so I picked it up on dvd. Some good extras too, including an interview with Mr Rourke. I've seen this dude in a number of interviews and think he comes across really well. Glad to see him back in the big time.

Anyone heard of a film called Moon? Directed by David Bowies son, meant to be really good. But, it only had limited release in some cinemas in the uk/ireland so i never got to see it. I'll have to catch it on dvd.

Quote from: Eniqua on 07/26/2008, 02:57 AMI want to know what you think about this type of collecting games?
Is it a waste of money or a good investment?
Not only is it a complete waste of money (you're pissing away the intrinsic value, after all) but it's an insult to everyone who actually plays their games: you are actually preventing someone from enjoying something among a limited pool of product (that only grows smaller as time passes).

If you want something to look at instead of play with, collect stamps, coins, or baseball cards.

Sealed game collectors are OCD idiots who need to find a new hobby.
Lochlan good post, apart from the ocd bit, I can't stand people making ocd into a joke or just using it as a throw away term. Just frequent ocd.co.uk and you will see what it's all about. Its got NOTHING to do with people being anal about collecting or cleaning or whatever. Just thought I'd say.
It absolutely destroys peoples lives and people using the term incorrectly (which seems to be happening all the time) is just making sufferers feel worse. Damn people, no wonder I'm not into making little dirty humans!

True, necro. I actually think EVERYONE should own the rights to their own image, because of journalism (I believe) this is not the case. People will talk about freedom, but someones so called freedom always impacts on someone else. Because of the net and digital photography, you never know, in the future it could happen. I suppose it is possible. Photos are not just for private use anymore, more often than not, they are distributed on the web.

Sorry for going off subject.

Here some w.a.s.p...

edit-I know in Paris recently some laws have been passed to restrict street photography (not sure exactly what, but am trying to see If i can find out..)

Privacy laws? I suppose it would be different if it was a camera owned/operated by the government. But still, it doesn't really make me feel at ease. A cctv camera should be there for peoples safety/ to keep an eye on property, not for entertainment.

Anyway, I should get off this subject. Most people just don't seem to  agree with me on the net, maybe just on video game forums :)
#40
everyone has an accent.....

Only the net ends? too bad, tell me when the world ends. That will be something for true celebration, now the net ending. Wouldn't bother me, if it did happen.

Roll on the end...

I'm not a tech guy, but a lot of people say the reason for the Jag having poor software was because it was really difficult to program for. There were hundreds of companies who signed up to develop for it though, I think it all went belly up, when they saw what they had to work with.

Heres some trivia, apprently (according to someone who worked on Iron soldier *he mentioned this on the Atari age forums) the Jag was going to be a high spec 2d machine, until Atari found out what Sega and Sony were up2.

I would have liked to see a high powered 2d machine from Atari, if only they decided to make the Jaguar as a true alternative to the playstation and saturn.

Quote from: rainbow_bright on 07/15/2008, 07:13 AM(sorry I deleted my earlier post by accident, I meant to edit something..eh blah..) I used to love metal when I was much younger, grew tired of it when I was around 17.. I used to love Maiden so much, but now..metal and most music in general doesn't do it for me at all.
What an incredibly depressing story.
lol is this a joke?

Nope, metal is not for me, and music in general..eh I just don't have a love for it like I used to. When I was younger I would nearly buy a new album every week, but some shit happened in my life and I realized that most of the crap I listened to was total junk. I just find most music fake, its quite hard to describe what I mean. I find instrumental music much more honest, whether it be experimental electronics  or film music or classical..

Although I do like some groups/songs...

Quote from: Mithos on 07/16/2008, 06:08 PMLord Thang, you've missed my point completely.  I never said the TG/PCE was crap and no you can change my opinion on the matter, I just enjoyed my N64 more.  That's all there is to it.  The controller doesn't bother me and graphics have never been an issue.  I actually like the gameplay that goes along with these games.  That being said all of you are out your damn minds if you think I'd ever like or want to play Superman 64.  If you don't agree with my saying that I like my N64 better then that's fine.  I just stated what I liked and moved on. I'm not gonna try and defend it any more than I have and I certainly don't care if you wish to belittle how I feel on the matter.  Point being that it won't really change much at all.
Don't worry man, they are just pulling your feathers a little. Its a sign of attraction, watch out for some of these guys..

Load and reload are not bad albums, they just aren't what anyone wants from Metallica. They just seem to have lost the magic, a long time ago.. Can they get it back? Who knows..lets wait until the new album comes back. By the way, whats Jason Newsted up to thesedays? is he still in Voivod?
