If the laser is dead, may need to be replaced. Most likely the gear is stuck though. You can have a look through my post to see how disassemble the unit. There are 3 gears on the drive sled. See if one is stuck. Be careful, the middle gear is weak and likes to shred. There is no replacement other than making your own that I know of.

hi.i got a tubrografx-16 w/ cd attachment.i have had it for years and its been playing great all this time.i been playing only hucards most of the time,so i havent used the cd unit for awhile.i bought cosmic fantasy 2 and when i go to play it,the disc dont spin and pc lights up on the track mode.i tried all my other tg-16 cd games and they all do the same thing.please help.thanks.
